Seems they're used quite interchangeably.

Generally speaking, Headscratchers is the namespace to use when you want an answer to your question — i.e., a conversation. Fridge Logic is for rhetorical statements where no response is requested or required.

Yet it seems most Fridge Logic examples have possible explanations attached to them by other tropers. Seems rather redundant.

Oh, it is. I've wanted those pages merged (or better yet, nuked) for ages, since they might as well be forum topics. That said, the general consensus is against me.

I've always seen Fridge Logic as plot holes or easy solutions they didn't use, that you think about a bit after reading/watching the work.

Head Scratchers is more of a question forum for unanswered questions, which may cover the above, but also other things that aren't necessarily plot holes, just missing information.

Considering how people use the pages it makes far more sense to merge them, but I've never been a fan of adapting the pages after the examples. Also wouldn't mind just seeing them gone.

If a Fridge entry of any type is answered, it's either natter that needs to be deleted, or the whole entry should be moved to headscratchers. Yes, many fridge pages were used as secondary headscratchers pages for a very long time. But we've been reversing that trend and keeping them separate.

Anyway, Fridge pages are about statements, not questions. "I noticed this cool thing" instead of "I noticed a plot hole, can somebody explain it?"

[up] So we've got a lot of tidying up to do. Oh joy.
