Where has Tobias been the last four episodes?
Healing from the bullets he took when his sister died.
That and probably grieving. His sister seemed like the only person he really gave a damn about.
"You can reply to this Message!"I'm more curious if Grace is ever going to show up again
So Tobias knows why/how Latavius came back to life? When are they gonna clue us in?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I think Lady Eve had the power of resurrection.
She was "embalming" someone earlier but I don't think it was them alive.
She was raising someone from the dead.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. So did the ASA recomment the dreads to Khalil too?
"You're so impulsive". Heh.
Speaking of which, man did this episode make Syonide look pathetic if the previous episodes already didn't. Apparently, she only has a prayer of killing someone from less than five feet. Why hasn't Whale killed her useless ass again?
Uh...we only saw her fight a literally invulnerable woman. With super-strength, against whom she fared reasonably well.
Deadshot would not be able to kill holding-her-breath Thunder either. Anissa is easily the strongest character on the show - she is depicted as very clearly stronger than Jeff, and Whale is on par with him - so holding her own in close-quarter combat for a relatively long time is a nice feat, nothing "pathetic".

TBF she did miss the uncovered parts of Thunder's head. (Though I was distracted by her outfit- how was fighting in that top not uncomfortable?)
By itself it isn't bad. But when you look at her overall track record, she's arguably the least competent of Whale's people which makes her continued survival all the more inexplicable. The guy she shot in this episode is the only successful on screen kill we've seen her make this entire season. And Whale didn't even seem to want him dead.
Hell, she apparently has never heard of the superhumanly strong and invulnearble woman that's been going around the streets and is Black Lightning's sidekick (despite said woman having videos about her uploaded to Youtube) which is the only possible reason I can think of for why she thought guns were a good idea against Anissa.
Also, do you mean Anissa is more powerful than Jeff or stronger than him? If it's the latter, well yeah, because Jeff doesn't have super strength. If it's the former, I'm not sure about that giving how limited her power is.
I said stronger, so yeah, physically.
Syanide was with Whale when he recovered. If she saw Thunder on video, she must have noticed she was strong, not that she was invulnerable. She probably hasn't been filmed stopping bullets, just lifting heavy things. Syanide had little reasons to be in touch with the gangsters or mercs who faced Anissa firsthand.
Syonide went toe to toe with Thunder and gave a very good account of herself despite not having powers. She's the only person on the show so far (aside from the team who presumably know how Anissa's powers work) to pick up on Thunder's weakness and exploit it.
How anyone could watch that and come away thinking Syonide is "pathetic" is almost beyond me.
As for her overall track record, she does have the huge error of missing Black Lightning who was standing still and hitting the guy next to him. But then that's Plot Armor at work.
And that's...pretty much it.
She's kind of an assassin though.
Who is going up again the main characters, so I don't exactly expect her to do that well in terms of results.
I feel like her missed shot against BL could easily have been justified by a offhand remark by Gambi on Jeff's new costume's abilities. Considering Jeff is a leaving battery, he could emit some kind of strong electromagnetic field that bends the trajectory of bullets.
I wonder if Trump is president in this universe.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The rhetoric is no mistake.
The references are unmistakable but that doesn't necessarily mean their world is the same as real life, re: Supergirl and President Peace and Love building the border wall.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!A very solid end to a very solid first season. I was expecting Tobias to go try and take down Black Lightning again, but it seems like he's playing a long game here. Jennifer's powers are growing more stronger it seems, enough to charge up Jefferson's powers again, I feel like this may become a bigger plot point later down the line. Also seeing Henderson begrudgingly thank Black Lightning on camera was very amusing. Onward to season two!
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mindI like the fact we get Tobias as a villain that outlives the first season, and it's clear he's going to continue being a major threat. I can't really think of villains who were a huge and constant threat after their first season.
Jennifer's eye roll after lighting up Proctor was the high point of the episode. Perfect timing.
I really liked that finale.
This was a super strong season.
Although Jennifer seemed pretty unaffected by developing powers, watching her mother kill a man, killing a man herself and then watching her uncle Gambi execute a guy in what I assume was a 24 hour period.
goddammit lala was the tatooed man i should have seen that coming
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
Well, there is going to be a second season, that's been confirmed.
And a La La/Tobias confrontation would be great. Especially since La La seems stronger now, and we know Tobias is as well.
