When you look at Wilder's IMDB filmography, you realize he wasn't in many movies, but quite a bit are unassailable classics - The Producers, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein and, of course, Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. And he's memorable in all of them.
That says a lot, if you ask me.
(I am also semi-fond of his late 70s film, The Frisco Kid, where he's a rabbi traveling the Old West.)
