Hey you, wise guy!

Yeah, you there! Reading my speech bubble! I'm Mr. Narrator. If you're reading this, then you must be a Toon who wants to be a star! Are you tired of just being a background character? Or maybe you just want some of that 'Mickey Mouse Money'? Whether you live to entertain or just wanna get rich quick, then don't worry! Just step onto the stage of Blot World: The Toon Action Game! Where the points don't matter and Cartoon Physics are the only physics you need to remember!

What is Blot World?

Blot World itself is a world created by the late Warren Costikyan back in 1932, when the Inkblot Cartoon Style was the standard. When cartoons started to take up the American screen, Costikyan had created many well known characters that still continue to be famous to this day. Throughout his early career from 1920-1930, he never did anything more than just funny shorts and fun adventures. However, in 1931, Costikyan left his original employee at the now closed Frog Jump Studios to open his own studio, the still standing Golden Fantasy Pictures and he took all of his characters with him. And in 1932, he revealed his magnum opus, Blot World. A 20 minute cartoon that featured all of Costikyan's past stars in Technicolor. Ever since then, Blot World became a series of cartoons where all these characters shared the same fictional universe. Just don't think you can get away with any racist or sexist jokes. We're a modern Blot World.

Blot World in all it's entirely is a world of black-and-white, with color being rare and hard to come by. Most characters probably have just one color at most in their design if at all. With the absolute center and heart of Blot World being Toonopolis, a large sprawling city that has streets and sections only existing when one wants them to. Where's Lil' Italy? Oh, it's not far, just take a quick drive through Uptown and take a left on Ink Street.

What can a Toon Do?

Nearly anything! As a Toon, you can abuse Cartoon Physics! What does that mean? Oh come on, Mac, you know! It's doing stuff just for da sake of bein' funny and wacky! Pull oversized mallets out of your tiny pockets, pass through solid walls if something's painted on it, defy gravity-at least as long as you don't notice it...oh, well, I guess you won't be able to do it now since you'll be fully aware of it. Hey, put your head right here.

BONG

Where was I? Oh, I was tellin' ya that Toons aren't limited to just gags and Cartoon Physics. Some Toons can come packaged with their own powers, abilities, and gadgets. Are you capable of bouncing bullets off of anything? Do you breath fire? Fly? Get incredibly strong after eating spinach?

Okay, but what are WE going to be doing?

Oh, wiseguy, eh? Well, look at that title again, Mac. It's an Action Game. So, naturally, yer gonna be fightin' an' adventurin'! The name of the game here is using wacky cartoon violence and over-the-top zaniness for fightin' monsters, findin' treasures, and avoiding boulders that are tryin' to crush ya.

Remember to be funny! Act fast! And don't think too hard.

Can my character be an anime? Anime is cartoons, right? Like, maybe like Speed Racer or Goku or Astro Boy or Pokemon?

That's debatable, but I see anime as just another type of cartoon.

Either or, while I'm usually pretty hesitant on the idea of accepting an anime-themed characters since, well, that is not the intent of this RP, I'm willing to accept SOME since old anime like Astro Boy do look like they could pass for that retro-cartoon style this is trying to emulate.

I'm interested but I think I'll wait for other characters while I think of ideas for mine.

...nobody? That's too bad. I came up with a somewhat interesting character concept (Rufus A. Raccoon, a veteran character who would be known for appearing in patriotic American-history-themed cartoons) too, though I didn't get much farther than that basic idea.

If there is still interest, might I suggest looking into the Technicolor OCT, which is a large inspiration for this idea-as well as Epic Mickey and Toon the Tabletop Game.
