"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It's so gloriously campy.
This song needs more love....
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.Holy old school Batman!
One Strip! One Strip!oh my god catch this hype
this is gonna be gr8
I'm getting whiplash from how far in the opposite direction this is from The Killing Joke.
You know, I gotta appreciate the fact that they're making something as out there and fairly unexpected as this. Especially since it's so different than the output so far. And hey, sometimes we need a little fun and camp to balance out the dark and serious and already I think this film'll deliver.
Man, a huge anniversary project that has the potential to be something colorful and unique, giving Adam West the chance to reprise his most famous role for real.
I'm worried they'll screw it up.
Fanfiction I hate.Pains me as it does to admit it, I am tiny bit worried that they'll screw it up. Especially after The Killing Joke. Though I will say, I do like the fact that they just up and animated a new scene that's not related to the movie in order promote itself rather just showing completed clips of the film proper.
That they cared enough to make a short teaser scene unrelated to the movie shows that they at least have that much passion for this project.

I hope they have some of the show exclusive villains in there as well, or even use the 66 versions of traditional Batman rogues from the comic (Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Bane, etc.).
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Gotta admit, I'd love to see a Batman '66 version of Killer Croc. Though I admit, Poison Ivy would be the most logical to introduce into the Batman '66 mythos.
They've already been via the '66 comic. I should've been more clear on that.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).The moment I saw the giant cafeteria tray, I thought "This is already the best movie with Batman in it this year."
Color me as extremely hype.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Doing Silver Age-style versions of Dark Age or modern villains is something that's always cool to see, and I wish Brave And The Bold had done it more.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. You know what they really need to do. An animated version of Batman: When Worlds Contrive◊. Now that'd be the bees knees
Yes I know it's a Mad Magazine parody but hey, Warner Bros owns both DC and Mad so they could very well make this a real thing

Same, but i think it makes sense to go for a lighter Batman after something so dark.
Batman sounds so old in this.
Adam West is 87.
Well, Brave and the Bold already did an adaptation of the first Batman parody MAD Magazine ever did, so it's not without precedent.
I really wish someday we could see an adaptation of Superduperman versus Captain Marbles.
Yeah; his voice quality has sounded pretty good in a lot of other things he's done (WB've frequently given him parts in their straight-to-video Scooby Doo movies) but his voice is sounding kinda worn here (I thought he sounded mildly drunk).
I remember thinking, when seeing Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull that Harrison Ford looked great for his age, but his voice sounded a bit reedy. Age catches up with everyone, eventually, in one way or another.
OMG, that belt buckle! I forgot about his shiny gold belt buckle with his logo on it!
I hope we get some references to the TV '66-only villains, like Bookworm, Egghead, etc. And the mid-storyline traps! With Outrageous and occasionally REALLY STUPID escapes! And Incompetent Gotham PD!

Fun fact: Batman's "new look" (the yellow circle around the bat emblem) debuted just as the Batman tv show began filming. The first Batman costumes made for the show lacked the yellow circle. There are a variety of stories as to why they added the yellow circle; one is that the makers of the TV show felt the black bat didn't show up terribly well against the gray suit, so they added it and DC added it to the comics to be consistent. Another story is that DC felt they'd be able to do some merchandising now that a TV show was in the works, and the only way they could trademark the bat emblem was if they added something unique to it, hence the circle. Julius Schwartz, then editor of the Bat-books, denied all of this, saying they just wanted to change up Batman's costume.
I wonder who will voice the other characters since pretty much the entire cast (sans West, Ward, Newmar and John Astin, who played the Riddler in season 2) has passed on.
If they base Catwoman off of the Eartha Kitt version, then they'll probably have Cree Summer do the acting for her. Dunno about the others. It's probably going to come down to the voice acting world's usual rogues gallery of chameleons and general actors who do a wide range of roles.
