As I read the page (and some other pages), I see that No-Sell doesn't just apply for being unfazed against an attack, but also being able to tear through defenses. Are both really the same thing? Because I also read No Saving Throw and I thought it is about an attack that can't be defended against or having its effects be reduced.

From my perspective, this is mostly about refusing to take an hit or outright ignoring the rules via an bullshit reason, an expensive piece of equipment, or it's just caused by lazy writing. It doesn't have to be offensive or defensive: It just needs to temporarily violate conventional combat rules for it to qualify.

Cue an massive does of trope misuse whenever an troper sees an enemy who's naturally immune to electricity.

[up] that bit of "immunity" thing reminds me of the ykttw called "Damage Immunity". Must be related.

Damage Immunity would be a super trope to No-Sell since No-Sell requires the unflinching and unphased non-reaction of the not working whatever, usually with the aggressor panicking. And really that is all No-Sell should be about, tearing through defenses after a No-Sell scene should an entirely different trope.

The examples themselves only run on the not working whatever and the reaction. It will need an extreme cleanup if it is both.
