Mhm. Y'know, it actually hadn't occurred to me that Norman's disappearance could be anything but him making his 'escape attempt' as planned.
I mean, I it looked like Ray and Emma were going "it worked". Maybe I should look at it again.
Chapter out:
Well damn.
Well good news is that Norman's going to appear next week. Bad news is we don't know how dewd he'll be.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. From the looks of it- pretty dead.
I see this going one of two ways: Either this really is the end and he pulled a Sister Krone and left something behind that will help them in ways none of them can really tell yet; or, he's not really going to die and they're going to teach up to be breeding stock. They only allow the girls to become caretakers but it stands to reason they still need men (and women) to actually produce the kids.
You know, by the end of this this is going to turn into "We're going to have to save all the kids on the other plantations too!"
In hindsight, that was likely as soon as we learned the farms were all next to each other
So the thing Krone left for them is a pretty big loose end right now. Norman saw it, but he didn't bring it up this chapter.
FFFFFFFF…
Well, at any rate I highly doubt one of the main characters is gonna kick it 30 chapters in. My assumption is that Norman intends to contact William Minerva one way or another (if he has somehow guessed he was working at HQ).
Chapter is out. So he's definitely not dying just yet. But the question is now why he isn't dying.
I would not be surprised if either Emma or Ray are the ones who might kill Mama.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So I guess girls aren't the only ones who can be "saved".
T'was a pretty heartbreaking chapter (that last page…) But that exchange between Isabella and Norman at the end make me think there might be so hope for her − if you can call it that.
Inb4 Norman gets offered to to turn into a demon, or become the vessel for a demon.
So sad seeing the old kids in this chapter. Emma is the mostobviously distraught, but you can see even Ray and Don are really forcing their calm.

This series pulls off a lot of things well I didn't go in expecting it to: suspense, sorrow, heartwarmingness. Hopefully it keeps it up.
I was genuinely unsure of whether he was actually going to die or not, but obviously not (for now, anyway).

Wow the next chapter is already out.
Is there something up with this week? Why are so many chapters coming out early?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Woah, that last panel of Emma. Have I mentioned how much I love this series' art?
Also come on, Ray. Way to almost let Norman's sacrifice be in vain.

I think I heard some kind of holiday is coming up so they're getting things out quicker.
Well, that was pretty good.
It baffles me how there are still people who think Isabella is trying to help them escape.
Since each Mama apparently has one child before the start of their duty, Norman is Isabella's son and that's why he was the only one she wanted to save.
At least it's a fair bet that either Norman or Emma is her child.
This chapter was so painful to read. .−. I feel like Isabella wanted to "save" Emma in her own way by breaking her, but that didn't really work. Thankfully? That last panel had me go "fuck yeah!" in my mind, admittedly. I'm also suspecting that Don and Gilda won't be totally useless. And there's still that weird kid who is on both volume covers, somehow.
Oh yeah, Phil. He of the constant foreshadowing with nothing still to come of it.
What a depressing chapter. At least, this seems to be the lowest point, and from now on things will start looking better again.
Isabella is such a good villain. She's basically what Emma would become if she gave in to despair and accepted the system as the way things are, to the point of becoming a part of it. Really sad.
It's sort of sad, I guess? But it seems like Ray and Emma were faking it.
Not sure about Ray, but Emma seems likely.
And Don and Gilda have probably been doing things on their own; so they'll probably fuck some stuff up.
Actually, I feel like it was intentionally ambiguous. Or a third option somehow occurred and Norman disappeared in a way corresponding to neither Isabella's nor the trio's original plans. (Perhaps Krone's parting gift caused him to change his mind and do something on his own...)
