I think the current is a little bit clearer than the suggestion in post 19.

19 has the difference in appearances stand out more, while the current is better about showing the apparent personality differences...hard to say which is better.

19 still has the personality differences via posture and facial expression: left girl looks optimistic, right girl looks cynical. The differences in clothing being more obvious also enhances these aspects. I honestly fail to see how current shows off the contrast of personalities better than 19, largely because left girl in current has a weird facial expression that makes it difficult to read her feelings conclusively.
Also, 19 works without a caption, which is a huge plus it has over current.

Current has two identical girls reacting to the same thing. One is poised to fight, the other to make peace. Keep in mind this is easy to discern without reading the caption... if anything, I'd be down for cutting the caption (or at least trimming it). I know this because I made that conclusion without ever even noticing there was a caption, let alone reading that block of text.
I like it because it's a lot more dynamic than just "they stand differently." So far nothing in this thread has shown to be as good as the current.

The current is better than 19. In the former, they're reacting to the same thing, and have fairly opposite reactions. In 19, one of them seems happy to have an ice cream, and the other not so happy to not have an ice cream. They're also not so much opposite as merely different. Finally, it's a fuzzy image.
I don't see how "19 works without a caption" in any way makes it better than the current, since that falsely implies the current doesn't work without a caption.
I'd also say that both 10 and 15 are better than 19.
