I've got ideas myself on how it happened. And no the world isn't dying. Logan is what caused this, thus it's just a world that supers are slowly vanishing from.
And some Sci-fi elements are disappearing, after so many invasions aliens eventually just left Earth alone.
I got my own plans for this world, trust me.
For the record, yes I approved Silence's spinoff. Though I would prefer if he made the titles a bit more different to avoid confusion, such as: "Wasteland: a The Good, The Bad and The Spandex spin-off".
Ah... No wonder I got the Logan vibes...
Well, I'll just be speculating then (and writing in this roleplay of course).
Also, I agree about changing titles a bit. Something like No More Supers: The Good, The Bad and The Spandex.

Everything that lives is designed to end.No More Supers: The Good, The Bad, and The Civvies
Sounds like an interesting spinoff. I could do a more grizzled Rine, someone more akin to the ruthless antihero that was the original character.
Also, I found a decent pendant for the Dimensional Guard. What do you guys think? [1]◊
borkColor me intrigued. Maybe I'll do an older, more jaded Misty, or the disembodied astral form of the still-comatose Mindseye.
Sounds like an interesting idea to me.
All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.Perhaps I could bring back Dragon Man?
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.He might fit.
He's become half-way possessed by, uh, his dark side, and is now a gritty, bloody, throat-tearing anti-hero.
Just ditch the red-and-black.
Well, if he is a throat tearing anti-hero, he'll get the red back at least. But not as a costume.
borkYou can be scary spewing rainbow flames.
Keep in mind people. Over the top Antiheroes aren't exactly wanted. This is a more sullen and slow kinda idea.
But I am glad people like the idea.
He will be a murderous dragon who will breath death rainbows and it will be awesome.
He will be a conflicted mess. Like he was before. A mess.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name. But he will breath rainbows, right?
Also of note is that you can play more than one character at once. BUT! They must have a running theme or core dynamic that makes them stick together. You can only play more than one in groups.
He will not be breathing rainbows. He'll just be the whining mess he was before.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.Announcing a NEW feature! "Currently Ongoing Events" will now be a permanent link in the opening post of the Signup Thread that I will update, probably on a weekly basis. So if you're lost or just curious, check there.
I will include Joseph for sure (albeit he'll be Neutral in terms of alignment), and Leo who... turned into a goofball. There is a reason.
And now, thinking about it... I'm not sure if Leo will be a goofball. He will change drastically, though.

Everything that lives is designed to end.I'm quite hyped for this. I only have Rine and Roken as the characters I actually care about, but they've been through some pretty messed up changes. Maybe I could incorporate some of these darker moments of their history into their character.
Edit: Wow, Evil font hurts my eyes. I guess that's the point. Maybe I should just use red instead.

borkOh well, the s—- got real. Are we sure that it's alright? I mean, it a game changer...
Or was that shown only in Elizabeth's home? If so, then that's not a problem (though then there would be a question how does he know where his enemies are.)
Then I guess I'll write about Cyclopes gathering data about this, then the Shield sends Alpha Squad. They will meet up with the Dimensional Guard at some point (if that declaration of war thing was broadcast all over Easton).
Not to mention I have to write Joseph's reaction to it. I won't rush, though.
EDIT (reply to below): Waiting for other players' reactions would be better, I think. That's why I'm not writing anything at the moment.

Everything that lives is designed to end.I left it ambiguous, to see if anyone reacted negatively. But yes, it would make a lot of sense if he had broadcast it across Easton.
He may be smart, but he's not omniscient. He is aware that Rine is in the city, but he doesn't know where he is right now. It also means that everyone should be aware of him now.
Why did he do it? Arrogance, mainly. He is so self-absorbed that he doesn't care if he is doomed to die.
borkI don't like Evil Font very much, but feel free to use it any time you feel is appropriate.
Re: the announcement, note Simon and Mongrel are not near a TV right now so they would not hear it anyway (unless Mongrel senses it somehow. I leave that GOA.)
In that case, Roken's speech will be in red font. More easy on the eyes and less garish. I'll still use it if he gets ticked off though.
I have to say, it can be difficult to make a character scary when you don't swear, like me. I guess it just means I have to be clever about it.
bork
One question about future timeline: do fantastical elements include science-fiction elements, or not?
Otherwise, it's a really cool idea. This is a perfect opportunity to include darker elements. Like, say, the reason why they (supers) disappeared is because of Cosmic Horrors. Or Narrative Entities... Maybe we can add the fact that the world itself is dying, and no one is able to stop it.
Though, another question: what's the occasion?
EDIT (unrelated to the above): added what cyclopes (scout units of Shield of Humanity) did among this chaos.
