Opened. If we do end up changing the pics, I think the dialogue of the current would make a better page quote than the Bible verse that's there now.
The suggestion doesn't suggest anything about being yourself. It suggests standing out, without specifying how.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah, now that I've seen the suggestion I'm not crazy about it.
^ Better
I think that has the same problem.
Check out my fanfiction!Would this◊ be confused too much with The Man in the Mirror Talks Back?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Not feeling it.
Any other ideas then?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I'm thinking of calling this a BUPKIS case. Is that too extreme?
(Annoyed grunt)12.2 is pretty good, but I'd rather include the rest of the joke if possible.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"12.2 panels 4-5, with the dialogue in 6-7 as the caption, maybe?
Twitter/Instagram: anzasquiddles. Deviantart: anzahanifathallah.I would give it one more panel
Doesn't that pic kinda subvert the trope?
Kind of, but kind of not. Learning that not everyone will like you is part of being yourself.
On the other hand, it's still mostly just dialogue.
Check out my fanfiction!I think her facial expressions help with that.
It adds colour to what she says, but I don't think it adds to illustrating the trope.
Check out my fanfiction! How illustrative is this image?◊
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Just as illustrative as the OP suggestion, which I've already commented on.
Check out my fanfiction!I think 12.1 works better with panels 2 and 3.
Clock is set.
Crowner?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Clock expired. Since we didn't get a crowner in time, closing.

Two problems with this one. First, it's basically text doing all the work. Second, it's also annoyingly fuzzy. Apparently this is a problem with the original comic, whose author is apparently content with the quality loss due to size changes and JPEGs.
Even something as simple as this◊ would get the point across far better.
