After the failure of Desert Sun, I decided to try an African-based mercenary RP game. It's still set in Harrawi, but only this time it'll an all-air force mercenary outfit under the Harrawian Air Force.

The RP is influenced by Area 88 and (partially) by Ace Combat: Infinity.

Story:

In the year 2000, the Earth was hit by a meteor strike that decimated 90% of the planet's surface. Due to the crisis that broke out worldwide, several countries were involved in regional wars that lasted for years until 2010, where a peace treaty was signed under the auspices of the United Nations.

Several countries have allocated their budgets for reconstruction while aligning themselves into regional federations. Major companies also assisted in humanitarian efforts by providing new technology and means to help alleviate the populace.

In some parts of Europe, Africa and Asia, civil wars have ravaged the country despite the end of major hostilities. To resolve this, the United Nations has amended the UNMC to allow legitimate PMCs to work alongside host nations as most of their military budgets were reduced to 3-4% due to reconstruction efforts.

In the nation of Harrawi, a year-long civil war between the government and anti-government rebels have reached a breaking point where the Harrawian military has authorized mercenary volunteer formations to help in their efforts to quash the separatists. It has begun to affect its economy, mostly since it relies on its oil and natural gas exports alongside its growing tourism industry.

The HAF's recent volunteer formation has just been approved, where a mixture of ex-national military pilots and civilian pilot dropouts/volunteers are recruited to help stem the tide of the insurgency with a variety of motives. With the help of new technology such as the AAAP, this helped militaries reequip themselves at a fast, cheap and efficient rate. Unfortunately, guerrillas, terrorists and rogue PMCs are also taking advantage of this and the new technologies being field out.

The year is now 2020, 10 years after the end of the regional wars. Small-scale civil wars continue on despite the end of the worldwide crisis.
