You're gonna find out if any of the other kids has a grudge on you and burn them, aren't you? It's what any five year old with access to magma would do, I think. Seeing as at that age they don't understand the whole death thing very well.

"I thought it was a Mafia family named Lynch."

Considering there's a city in Virginia named Lynchburg . . .

We're so going to be another Boatmurdered.

But don't worry guys, I found a magma pumpstack that should *hypothetically* not murder framerates into negative integers.

supposedly, this new style pumpstack can pump with about 1/15 the lag induced by the 1x1 reservoir method. It's still clearable, it just takes longer with a 3x1 reservoir system. I keep getting distracted from laying out the pumpstack itself out to focus on fixing the job cancellation spam :P

Just as long as it's done before my turn (if I have time to take it but I currently intend to). You don't want me trying to wrestle with DF fluid dynamics. Especially magma. I would probably create a Boatmurdered finale completely by accident.

Sounds like it should be done before Elle's turn then. A five year old designed this, or just said "I want magma" and listened while someone else said they could have it built?

I'm assuming that he's just the madman on the throne, and the advisors are either actively plotting against him or being all spiritual about it being armoks will or sometihng

I don't think he's overly /malicious/ just, you know, not good at consequence based thinking.

OVERSEERS JURNAL: 23 slate, 2254

The miners say they're nearly done building the tunnel they'll pump my magma through. They say the don't have anywhere to put it yet, but they'll be able to dig a big pool to put it in I'm sure. They say we don't have enough power for this yet, so my next job is to figure out where to build a power plant.

(side note: are we considering dwarven generators exploits?)

Vizier's Journal, 1st Summer:

While the hellion plays, we've finished the Microcline Room. it's producing power and just needs to be hooked up. We've found the body of the missing miner. We have no idea how he got stuck down there, he had ramps in both directions. Perhaps they suicidally worked themselves to death. Another miner fell into the river and died working on the Microcline Room, but if two deaths is all we get on this build I'll mark it a blessing. We're dreadfully low on glass, and I've requisitioned more of it. We do not have nearly enough as of now, but we've enough to get started.

Vizier's Journal, 8th Malachite, 224

This child must be taken by madness. We were not prepared for this kind of project. We have little by way of magma safe materials suitable for screws, and the magma is so far below the functioning areas of the fortress. The magma is buried under three kilometers of stone and still he impresses that we've must complete the project before the Confederacies of Incinerating "In-sin-in-ate us."

work on the pumping stack has ceased for the time being, and we don't know why. The miners complain of the shaft being haunted, or some silliness. They will not clear so much as a pebble. Just what we needed. The Power system is at least nearly connected, though the projected power requirements are only cursory. no exact measure of the number of pumps needed has been requested, and we're overworked enough as is. The child can't seem to bring himself to care about any other part of the fortress, and mystics be damned we need a real leader. We're managing on autopilot, at least, and the child certainly never skimps on ordering sweets for himself from caravans so we shan't starve...

(I think I need help)

Did you actually loop that for ten hours?

Have we seen ghosts or have the miners just quit working? Big difference, since one means you need slabs and the other means there's probably no valid way down there.

it's more that they apparently insist there's no valid way in/out. I had assumed it'd take less time to notice if the design was flawed but apparently not.

Vizier's Journal 1st Limestone, 224.

Oh no. The modifications to the pumpstack breached back into the caverns. There are no reports of monster activity in the depths, but there was also little reason to be concerned, as they were sealed off. Now some idiot has found a path and every yahoo and yokel with the free time is suddenly rushing into the depths to retrieve... something? I don't know where to begin to look.

Overseer's Journal, 20th Limestone, 224

A TITAN IS HERE! They're a towering dinosaur with NO EYES. It can fly and has a poisonous stinger! INCININATE IT. INCININATE IT FASTER!!!

If we'd had the magma cannon maybe those twelve wouldn't have died... They tried REALLY HARD but the swamp titan got too close to the farms and started attacking the farmers.

I had to pull civilian alerts when I was fiddling with the seals on my turn . I think it's the wood in the caverns.

I am having internet issues that require yelling at the dsl provider so Lance is encouraged to take his time if he can do so without getting us all killed.
