I was introduced to this via the anime. I thought it got off to a rocky start, but was hooked after the second episode. I decided to read the manga, and it is awesome too. I'm almost caught up with the manga, and I have a theory how it's going to end.

I just reached the part of the manga where we learn that both Kaizaki and Hishiro will probably lose their memories of each other. I think they will, and they will then realize that there are holes in their memories, do some digging, and then find each other. We already know that Hishiro, at least, is smart enough to put the clues together.

It's not close to that point yet, but I really have a feeling that, despite what they've been saying to US (the audience) both Onoya and Yoake have gotten too close to their charges to let it happen.

How far is the manga compared to the anime?

Anime was great. Missing out on the discussions of that due to seeing everything at once, though. Speculations would've been interesting. Especially considering what was hiding behind those glasses and #001.

The manga is up to 134 now, with the anime covering up to about 108. So there's not much progress since then (and a lot of those chapters are devoted to explaining #001's situation from Yoake's point of view, in perhaps unnecessary detail).

Been reading up a bit, and I'm to the point the anime got to. I found it somewhat amusing that the text on the post-chapter sketch said, "You better catch this straight-forward ball", when what was thrown was probably the biggest curveball in the series up to that point. Well, assuming you've not seen the anime, since it's a lot more obvious there. Can't really judge how obvious it was in the manga, since I already knew it.

Hey, what is the song at the end of Episode 12? I've heard it enough that I'm sure it's a traditional song, but I don't know how to look it up.

Not sure. I don't think it matters that much though, as the choice of songs for the ED is meant to invoke nostalgia, hence how most of them seem to be from the late 90s to early 2000s.
