"Um. All. We need as much as we can get." Elvyra offhandedly materialized another dread eye and brought it close to the silverware. The iris flexed sickeningly with awful squishing noises and its vision zoomed in further and further, down to the microscopic level. The other girl, still managing information and misdirection like a pro, maybe had an idea about just what she was trying with the mention of silver. As Elvyra's eye got closer and closer she looked for the patterns in the metal that would signal silver, as different from stainless steel.

I'd say it's on daird here to decide whether or not it's really silver.

stainless steel. The budget was all spent on doomsday weapons.

Danielle gave eye girl a grin. "Thanks, but I'm good." Okay, she might have been an honest mistake by this place. Reminds me way too much of Ocularis for comfort.

The real villains filed in behind them, along with a tall woman in a dark purple costume carrying a stack of papers. She'd done her brown hair up in an old-fashioned beehive, and her green eyes sparkled with mirth. "Greetings, students. I am Havoc, but doubtless, you already knew that." A wave of telekinetic energy came forth and deposited a sheet of papers in each student's hand. The control was... impressive.

"Hmm. Seems that everyone has Power Control and Manipulation in the gym first. That could be interesting."

Feel free to mingle for a little while, whether with each other or just walk around. I'll take the responsibility of coming up with NP Cs. We'll move to our first class Sunday night.

Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!

"I'm Ingress. So, in the future, do beehives loop back around to cool again?" Elvyra crossed her arms over her chest and opened another pair of eyeballs to look over her shoulders, inspecting Havoc as she kept looking at the silverware. "I'm just saying—son of a fuck, stainless steel?"

She eventually cracked a pair of eggs into the skillet. "Ugh, I was hoping we'd be fancy enough to have silver. Anyway." She kept sweeping her eyes over the rest of the villains. "Where y'all from, huh? You got space colonies back home yet? You still capitalist, or did the socialists finally get to you?"

"Little town in America," Violet said, not really wanting to get more specific. "No space colonies yet, at least not for humans on Earth. And parts of the world are capitalist? Global economics isn't really my forte."

Yayoi eventually went in the kitchen. She figured she might as well quickly grab a bite before class started. Though she also really nervous about what kind of classes she would be forced to attend here. This seemed to be a school for supervillains after all. Who knew what sort of bad actions they would expect her to perform around here?

She entered the kitchen just in time to receive the paper from Havoc and hear what their first class would be. Power Control and Manipulation? This was not good. She couldn't use any powers without transforming and her transformation would leave no doubt that was not actually a villain like most of the students here. So what was she gonna do? It wasn't like she could refuse to use powers or claim to not have them. From the name of that class alone she could that they were expect to have superpowers. She couldn't help thinking that something terrible would happen if she claim otherwise. And if she went along with it, she would reveal herself and something equally terrible was gonna happen.

Not known what to do, for now she quickly grabbed something to eat then went to hide in a corner, behind a group that she dearly hoped weren't actually villains. Her nervousness was mostly likely still shining through.

Cale regarded the woman announcing what classes were what as he watched students eating the food. He figured this meant he was just being paranoid about this and quickly ate his food.

He caught the papers offhandedly, stopping for a moment in his meal to look at them.

As the woman with the extra eyes asked where everyone was from, he decided to speak up, "Well I guess they call me Prodigal Son in terms of a nickname, and I'm from a family of scientists. We live in New York, with housing help from a rather...eccentric businessman named Mr. Stark. Dunno much about capitalists or socialists, but I enjoy a good ol' American Apple Pie."

...that remains the most painful sentence I ever have to utter.

As things started to get interesting, Cale noticed someone moving into the cafeteria area, looking utterly nervous about the situation - and damn, he thought to himself, he'd heard of cute, but then there was that. He noted she was very likely confused and scared, and so decided she would definitely need someone to help.

He tried to compose himself and approached Yayoi confidently and with an ease to his step that indicated he was both not hostile and welcoming. It certainly helped that Bluefield was by all accounts a very handsome young man.

"Oh, good to hear." Elvyra gave the thumbs up before swiveling around at Cale's comment. "Stark, huh?" Elvyra said with a light chuckle. Yeah, she could afford to have some fun throwing out referential humor at his expense and/or confusion. Motherfucker really just compared socialism and capitalism with Americanism completely unironically, after all. "He shack up with that guy Rhodes yet? Pfft. He, uh, he beat the living daylights out of that one fascist with the frisbee?" She casually flipped the eggs and cackled.

Violet narrowed her eyes and got to her feet, hurrying over to the other girl. She didn't trust anyone who was so obvious in his attempts at manipulating people. She kept a firm grip on her stolen knife to be safe. "Hey, you're new too?"

Yayoi watched the two people approaching her cautiously for a while. The boy's stance seemed non-threatning and the girl's tone as she asked her if she was new as well didn't seem hostile either. The question was, would supervillians act just as mean to other supervillians as they did to heroes or did they at least try to tolerate each other?

But however she cut it, these two seemed to be too nice to be actual villains. "Um ... H-Hi there. Y-Yes, I'm new h-here," She stopped for a moment, figuring she would have to think her next words carefully. Even if they were allies, she couldn't ask about them being heroes, or villains for that matter, without exposing everyone if anyone else was listening. She got closer to the two of them and whispered, "T-This ... M-Might seem like a weird question but ... D-Did you suddenly wake up here?"

Violet stood carefully, trying to get in the way of Cale's line of sight. "Yeah, though I think that's pretty common here. It's creepy how they had everything ready for us, though."

Cale raised his eyebrow at this and walked to the side slowly, and nodded at the young girl. He remembered being very young, and how shy he was at that age. And how guys whose sole advantage was an earlier start to puberty basically took 1) quiet and 2) intelligence as an excuse to be utter jackasses.

"Yeah, we've formed a group based on that. We're trying to find a way out." He whispered that to her, giving a smile to show he had confidence in their ability to do that. "And don't worry, we'll look out for each other here."

And given they were all technically new students here, he figured the very least he could do would be preventing her from suffering any of that.

Still, that girl with the knife...how odd. He also found Ingress' attitude toward Captain America rather distasteful, but that was hardly a reason to end association.

Yayoi nodded at the girl's words and said, "Y-Yeah, it was pretty strange. i mean, u-unless I ended up in a room meant for someone younger, it's rather weird that they would have clothes on my size ready like they did."

She felt a little reassured by the boy's words and managed a small but warm smile. "I-I see. Then ... I-I take that you all aren't ... The type of people this school is usually looking for?" she continued to whisper and then briefly bowed before the two of them. "I-I'm Kise Yayoi. It's nice to meet you both."

Yeah, thus guy was acting like a creep."Apparently," she said. "But it'd be a good idea to keep an eye out. And we don't know if random kidnapping is the normal way their students get here either."

"Yeah, that's true. Probably a lot of kids with powers out there to be taken, and I'd be willing to bet some of them volunteered, too." Danielle mused. They might be able to talk some of the kidnappees down, but the true believers...

A new student came up to the group, carrying a tray. Those with the ability to detect energy would be able to tell that the blonde girl's body was capable of releasing massive amounts of electricity. "Hi there, I'm Stacy. Mind if I sit here?"

"Y-Yeah, that's true. That's the thing you would expect from a place like this, I guess ..." Yayoi whispered back to Violet.

The place was getting real crowded right now. Normally that would already have made her quite nervous, but add the fact that the majority of the people around her were potential enemies and it made her want to flee the room.

She quickly whispered to Violet, "I-I really need to get out of her. If ... You still wanna talk, I-I will be right outside," before moving away. She waded her away through the crowd as fast as possible and exited the room.

Once outside, she quickly found a corner close to the kitchen and leaned against the wall, sighing in relief.

Violet nodded, following after Yayoi. "Yeah, that's - pretty crowded. There must be a lot of people here..." she said, thinking out loud. "Maybe if we could find whatever teleporter they used to get here, or even just some kind of communications setup..." She had a few favors save up over the years, if she could just get in contact with someone.

Violet was so focused in her thoughts that she didn't notice when her bag began to rustle, apparently of its own volition. At least, not until a grey, teddy-bear-like head with crystalline eyes poked out of the side. "Violet? Where's here?" it asked, in a high-pitched voice. Violet's eyes snapped wide, and she shoved the creature's head back inside. "Idiot, stay hidden!" she hissed, before looking at Yayoi with slight desperation. "Uh... I can probably explain him?"

To be quite honest Elvyra was getting a little overstimulated. The multitudes of people coupled with how many eyes she was manifesting had her basically on autopilot as she flipped the eggs out of the plate and into a sandwich, then grabbed it. With a deep breath, those dread portals sent their awful occupants back from whence they came, no longer gazing upon a world they were never meant to experience. Elvyra needed to be focused on the now right now: specifically that code-switching motherfucker Cale.

She turned around and made a beeline for him, egg sandwich in one hand. Her many dread eyeballs opened once again and hung around over her shoulders like a flock of Options from Gradius. She smiled as best she could and swallowed the bite she took on the way over. One eye gave a token nod to Stacy. "Yeah, let's get a seat... there..." Elvyra jerked all of her eyes towards the dining hall. Which was... big. Maybe impossibly so. "Fucking non-euclidean-ass... you guys have euclidean geometry where you're from? I know that sounds like a dumb question, but lite-brite here still has socialism and vigilantes where he's from, so I always gotta check."

Yayoi seemed to be lost in thought as Violet talked. As the other girl mentioned finding a teleporter, she thought about finding this place's library to see if the Book Door Code would still work for her. Probably not, but it was worth checking at least. She was about mention it when suddenly ... A strange, crystal-like creature popped out of Violet's bag and talked! Understandably, the other girl became quite desperate at having her secret revealed like that.

Though her eyes widened in shock for a moment, she didn't stay that way for long. After all, if the girl in front of her had a mascot with her, that could only mean one thing. Her eyes rounded in excitement and she gave Violet a warm smile as she responded, "It's OK. You don't need to worry about him, at least not around me. My friends and I have a friend with a similar ... Purpose, I guess. But if you have him ... That has to mean that you're a superhero like us!" Then remembering how her friends usually reacted when she called their group that, she was quick to add, " ... Or maybe a magical girl, however you wanna call it. But oh, this is so exciting!"'

Violet blinked. Well, she hadn't been expecting that as a reaction. "Ah - seriously? I mean, I've never met any other magical girls - though I guess there's bound to be other ones, right? When did you- " she gestured vaguely. "Find out?"

Stacy blinked when Elvyra mentioned non-Euclidean geometry. "Yeah, one of the tech teachers figured out how to make rooms bigger. Me, I don't have anything like that at home."

She grabbed a knife and fork and started slicing into her sausage patty. "Don't recall seeing any of you last year. If you are first years, what do you think of the place?"

"A few months ago, I think. Two of my friends, Miyuki and Akane, met Candy and became Pretty Cure slightly before me. Then one day, Akaoni, one of our enemies, the Bad End Generals, attacked at our school. I was really scared, but I wanted to stand up for the friends that done the same thing for me, so I took courage and ended up transforming into Cure Peace for the first time!" Yayoi explained, maybe a little too excitedly. "What about you? How and when did become it? And oh, since you're a magical girl too, I guess I should share this. I'm really worried about this upcoming class. What are gonna do? I don't have any powers without transforming, but I obvious don't wanna do it or I will just reveal myself. But ... I can't shake the feeling that if we just refuse it, they do something horrible to us anyway ..."

A few months... "Oh - on my birthday, a few years ago." Violet thought for a moment. "Four years as of a few months ago. Geode crashed straight through my roof, told me I was some magical warrior, and, well..." She shrugged. "The rest is history, I suppose." She furrowed her brow at Yayoi's question. "Hm. Well, you're definitely right on not wanting to play that card so early." She glanced around. "...depending on the sort of people who get here, it's possible there's some who don't have combat powers, but are better at support or planning or something like that. I don't know if they'd also be sorted into the same power classes, but if they are, then you could try and pass yourself off as one of those... It also depends on if we'll be sparring or something, and not just standing in front of some kind of scanner." She rubbed her forehead. "Ugh. We'll figure something out."

Cale noticed Stacy, and his senses immediately picked up on a large store of energy within her - as an absorber, he could usually tell when there was a good store of energy present.

And "Stacy" was loaded with it.

"Whatever Euclidian Geometry is, I'm pretty sure we have it where I come from." He noted that it seemed Elvyra was approaching him with some amount of purpose. Maybe she was on to him, or maybe she'd just taken a less than good impression of him.

Then Stacy asked about their years, and Cale realized this could be a problem - they were technically first years and if it was true they were known to the school or unknown, then that altered expectations drastically.

"I...uh, I'm a first year here. Gotta say its a pretty impressive place."

He moved over with the others, deciding to present a group front for now. As things were now they needed to be united to get through this, otherwise things could get dicey...

Motherfucker still wasn't talking like he was earlier. Elvyra ground her teeth, kept her face neutral, and nodded as Cale spoke. "Yeah, first year too. Really excited, I got enrolled by my folks and never really got to learn about the curriculum before coming here. Now this Power Control thing could be good though. I've mostly just been selling information and doing some surveillance work with these bad boys," Elvyra gestured to the eyes floating behind her, "but if I could, I dunno, learn to snipe someone with'em or something like that that'd be cool."

Yayoi looked in awe at Violet's story. "Four years!? And from the sound of it, you have been doing it all by yourself, aside from Geode. That's really impressive!"

Then she looked deep in thought as she tried to figure out a solution for their upcoming predicament. "Yeah, but ... From what Havoc said, it seems that having to spar is probably what is gonna happen, specially since it's a gym and all ... A-And aside from fighting as a Pretty Cure, the only other noteworthy things about me would be ... K-Knowing a lot about fictional superheroes and being good at ... D-Drawing, which won't exactly help me much write now ... " She sighed sadly. "I guess we wil really have to just wing it for now ..."

She cheered up a bit when she remembered what she had meant to tell Violet before Geode had so suddenly appeared. "Oh yeah, you said something about finding teleporters, right? Well, I don't know about what they used to bring here but ... My friends and I have a way to transport ourselvres using bookshelves, so assuming there's a library here, we could go there after classes are over, preferably at a time when there won't almost anyone else and check out it. I get the feeling that it might not work here, but it's worth a shot anyway, isn't it?"
