I'm looking forward to sneaking into an enemy camp, planting a square bomb (since thoses are remote controlled), especially if I can place it near some explosive barrels, which the game seems to have, sneaking out, and then setting off said bomb.
If possible, I might add in shooting a fire or bomb arrow as well.
Carnage.
One Strip! One Strip! It's all about the fun you make for yourself. Now if only there was a way to trick enemies into attacking each other.
i. hear. a. sound.There might be.
This game does seem tied to the Adult timeline, and you could trick enemies into hitting each other in Wind Waker.
I also look forward to getting enemies to chase me while planting a square bomb and then making it explode when they run past it.

One Strip! One Strip!I get it!
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."So how do you guys feel about the fact that the Wii U version won't use the gamepad much?
Considering they plan to release it for NX as well, that makes a lot of sense, but at the same time, it irks me slightly since it's painfully clear that the Sheikh slate is the gamepad, and that before the big change that all the functions of the pad were meant to be tied to using the slate.
I suppose it's possible that the Wii U version will have the option to play with the gamepad or without it.
One Strip! One Strip!I consider it a sub-optimal but acceptable state of affairs. I'm disappointed a bit, but I don't think it's anything worth getting upset over.
I sure said that! The gamepad is gimmicky anyway.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! It's a really handy quick-look map in Xenoblade X, though, and this game has enough similarities that a quick-look map would've been nice.
I sure said that!Given how WW and TP's remasters and Xenoblade X used the gamepad in very useful ways, I'm kind of disappointed, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
Round bombs are also remote detonated.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Roundness and squareness?
The round ones roll while the square ones do not. That is literally the only difference between them that we are aware of.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!...Ok. I mean, they introduced bomb rolling in Skyward Sword so I suppose being able to roll bombs down a cliff into an enemy camp from a distance has it's upswing.
Still, I think only the square ones should have been remote controlled, while the round ones are regular fuse bombs. Give them a bigger difference.
Sorry. Didn't really make my sentence clear now that I read it. Also makes my later post kind pointless.

One Strip! One Strip! They are. Both of them are remote detonated since they're really more magic than science (or science-flavored magic, really). The point of square bombs are for when you really don't want a bomb to move like for puzzle solving and trap laying. For that, they'll be indispensable.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Wonder if we'll get bombchus. Remote detonation makes them a little pointless but the wall climbing could lead to some cool ltricks.
Makes sense.
One is for planting firmly, the other is for bomb bowling.
And I do love Bomb Bowling.
Edit: Right, so this was a pointless post.
I imagine the rolling bombs exist to replace the Bombchus to some extent.

One Strip! One Strip!I am also in the "mildly disappointed, but it's not really a big deal" camp when it comes to the gamepad. It was nice for having a minimap and switching between weapons more easily, but given that weapon switching seems to be pretty quick anyway it doesn't look like it'll really be a problem.
Reaction Image RepositoryTo be honest, all the Gamepad could've really been used for without issues at best was a Map. It's better than pausing for it. That said, I'll be quite happy without having to hold, in my hand, a very heavy controller. Using the Pro is great, as it's comfy, weighs a good amount, etc.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.I said this in the other thread, but I'm really excited for the physics engine and what can be done with it more than anything.
Above all, it means that puzzles don't have to be "use item on obvious target" anymore. With this in mind, I'll probably have a reason to like puzzles again.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. The shrines are basically huge physics puzzles.
