I'm gonna guess mind control, since that's usually frowned on in R Ps?

Oh yeah. Good point. Though is there a historical/mythological figure with the basis for a mind control Noble Phantasm in the first place?

Well, I guess. She is did become a succubus and all. And one could make the argument the snake of Eden might have used mind control (though I personally didn't go that route with it).

It's not possible for me to list every possible thing that wouldn't be cool beforehand, but generally what's a no-go is anything that either falls into the category of either being logistically impossible to implement, being a pain in the ass to balance, or no fun to interact with. So adding NPs to a collection and mind control aren't allowed because that would severely limit what I could do for NPC servants, as I would now have to figure out how everything would work if that character/NP were controlled/stolen. There's also things like casual time travel, since those just make it hard for me to make the game, and it has a chance that it would require people to forget about all the posts they've made. And then NPs where the downside makes your teammates suffer, I don't like those because it's like you're making your teammates pay a price for something you did, and that usually isn't fun.

Any sort of "buff" NP would have to be pretty limited in scope, too. Otherwise, if someone had an NP along the lines of a permanent "give everyone a + to every stat", then I would have to balance every enemy to basically be twice as strong to compensate.

  • Name: Uesugi Kenshin.
  • Summoning age: 47.
  • Sex: Male.
  • Class: Saber.
  • Appearance: Boop.
  • Personality blurb: Staunch believer in honour. Obsessed with warfare, but prefers the clash on the battlefield to underhanded tactics (the story goes that when Kenshin heard that his great rival Takeda Shingen lacked salt because of a Houjou blockade, Kenshin sent his clan some salt and said, "I fight with swords, not with salt"). A Buddhist monk, but despite that Kenshin has a love of Saké.
  • Star rank: Probably 3-4? I'm not too sure how this system works.
  • Parameters:
    • STR B
    • END B
    • AGI A
    • MGI C
    • LCK D
  • Class skills:
    • Riding (E): Kenshin was not known for his riding skills, but it was a required discipline for Samurai to master.
    • Magic Resistance (B): Average Magic Resistance for the Saber class due to the relative proliferation of Onmyoji in Sengoku-era Japan.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Divinity (B): Kenshin was seen as an avatar of Bishamonten, the Japanese Buddhist god of war, and thus has a rank in Divinity.
    • Military Tactics (B): Kenshin is regarded as a genius general even today; it is said that, when he heard that Kenshin was dead, Oda Nobunaga remarked that "the land is now mine".
    • Charisma (C+): Suitable for a famous Daimyo that nonetheless failed to conquer his rivals, the Houjou.
  • Noble Phantasm:
  • Battle of Tedorigawa, Technique Learned from the Tiger (A-rank Anti Army): The crystallisation of the battle of Tedorigawa where Kenshin beat Oda Nobunaga's forces by waiting for a rainfall that neutralised the latter's arquebusiers, then sending out a small unit to lure an attack which crashed against the Uesugi's main force to no avail.
Following activation, this Noble Phantasm makes Kenshin seem vulnerable, but in reality confers a – to the AGI and LCK of the targets (up to four). When the targets strike Kenshin, a great beam of light lances at them from the heaven, carrying within it an image of Kenshin's battle standard.

  • Uesugi Kenshin: As I said in the post just above, any sort of large-scale general "buff" (or by association, debuff) that can target everyone can't really work. If you had it so that it were like, an area of effect, or a single target, or whatever, that sort of thing would be more acceptable.

Also he doesn't really strike me as a saber, since your NP is an arquebus volley and he doesn't seem to have any weapons on him.

Limited the number of targets the debuff affects to four. Also, the NP itself isn't an arquebus volley; that's just the historical flavour. The NP proper is described in the following paragraph. W.r.t. his class, I'm open to suggestions, because honestly I don't know where to place him. He's definitely not Caster, Rider or Berserker, but the rest are a toss-up as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't say his standard is his NP — it's nothing special; the NP is based on a battle he fought.

That hasn't changed very much. Four servants could very well be everyone on the enemy team in a lot of cases. It also doesn't list how long said effect lasts. Can someone run away and have the effect not affect them at a certain distance?

Overall I'd prefer just changing the effects of the NP wholesale to something that doesn't involve simple stat adjustments.

  • Name: Pelops, the King of Sports
  • Age: "30"
  • Sex: LOTS Male
  • Appearance: A tall man with a bulky frame. He wears sandals on his feet and light leather armor befitting a chariot driver. His body is a grotesque patchwork of flesh and ivory.
  • Personality Blurb: Selfish, cocky, and overconfident, basically your typical locker room jock. He has a complete lack of empathy or sympathy and his mannerisms appear almost robotic. This is not Pelops. The real Pelops died before his legend even began, unknowingly consumed by the gods during his father's savage banquet. Grief stricken, the Olympian Hephaestus reconstructed the boy from the scraps that remained and replaced what has missing with pure white ivory. However the result was a shell of a human. Poseidon took the boy under his wing and tried to teach him compassion, but found the exercise futile. The boy was cast out into the world where his selfish desire lead him to the kingdom of Pisa, whose king would challenge the potential suitors of his daughter with a chariot race, only to spear them in the back out of fear that they would lead to his own death. With Poseidon's boon, and a quick seduction of the King's charioteer, Myrtilus, Pelops stacked the odds in his favor and survived the deadly race, his machinations resulting in the King's death. After quickly disposing of Myrtilus, Pelops ascended the throne of Pisa, founded the Olympic Games, and lent his name to the Peloponnesus.
  • Star Rank: 3*

    • Strength: D+ (C) (+)
    • Endurance: B+ (+)
    • Agility: A
    • Magical Energy: E
    • Luck: D (C)
  • Class Skills
    • Riding (A+): Capable of riding Phantasmal and Divine Beasts.
    • Magic Resistance (E): Cannot cancel spells but damage from magic is reduced.
  • Personal Skills
    • Divine Creation (C): Not a being of flesh of blood but an artificial man of divine creation. Gives (+) to Strength and Endurance.
    • Eternal Sports Mastership (EX): As the originator of the biggest sporting event in the world his Strength and Luck receive a small boost when on hollowed "sporting" grounds and prevents degradation of sports skills when under the effect of mental hindrance.
    • The Awarded Hero (A): Given a chariot driven by a pair pegasi from Poseidon.
  • Noble Phantasms
    • Twin Untamed Beauties-The Gift of Poseidon's Love
      • Anti-Unit, D
      • A glorious alabaster chariot with gold trim and adorned with treasures of the sea, pulled by a pair of untamed pegasi. Not the strongest NP but definitely one of the fastest, this NP lets Pelops outpace any Servant not on a dragon and provides a nice place for him to throw spears.
    • The First Olympiad Ode-Let the Games Begin
      • Anti-Team, B+
      • Pelops' legacy, the Olympic games. Created by him as a tribute to the untimely death of King Oinomaos, the Olympic games has grown far beyond its initial scope and is now enjoyed by millions of people across all the continents of the earth today. This manifests as a reality marble, a massive stadium where Servants and Masters alike are forced to play on Pelops' own turf under his rules. This NP lets Pelops control the conditions of combat, though not the outcome of combat itself. He can dictate what weapons or techniques can and cannot be used. However, he to must follow the rules put into place.
