Defenders of The Omniverse, Boxed Crook Universe-Hopping Crossover

Taking in what everyone had to say, Ryan's gaze settled on GIR as a thoughtful expression crossed his face. Making a 'Hm...' sound, the redhead eventually spoke with a touch of doubt regarding the robot's understanding "In some universes Gravity Rush is a game for a console called the 'PS Vita', very enjoyable game."

Though when he spoke, Cornelius turned to look at him and spoke with a touch of incredulity "Ah, no, it would be a PS 3 game." The two geniuses locking eyes with each other, Gateway suddenly chimes in a little casually "I haven't played a lot of games, but I'm certain I've played it for the PS 4 at one point."

Look of realization on Ryan's face, as he opens his mouth to speak Cornelius turns away in some annoyance before abruptly speaking "Alright so, we won't force any of you to go on missions! Thus technically you can just roam around the Palace whilst only some of your teammates go. We can take you guys in and out whenever, so you certainly don't need to go all at once! So, if any of you want to go now just ask Nexus- Otherwise feel free to wander around."

Ryan making a disappointed face he didn't get to say what came to mind, Nexus quickly addresses Elisa. "Not at all, you only need to think it and I'll handle any translation necessary. It'll be like speaking to your brother directly once I'm done, and he'll practically get it instantaneously once you're finished.."

Elisa addressed, Nexus turns her attention to Jigen as the Law Control effortlessly generates his desired clothing. "Very well, merely think it and I'll take it from there. The receiver will effectively receive it instantly, so have no worries about a time delay. As for your gun, I'll bring it now." Hardly a moment after Nexus 'speaks', the gun in question appears in Jigen's possession.

Though, when Nexus responded to Doomguy, a touch of shame seems to carry with her. "I'm... I'm sorry, such a weapon is... It is simply too powerful to fall in wrong hands, many which you can see around you. We'll need to be given time to ascertain your teammates won't abuse such a weapon, however the threats should be... Relatively tamer than what you're used to, for now anyways."

Tilting her head down and folding her hands over her lap, Nexus looks at the woman and spoke with a cool tone "Though I have no personal knowledge of the Cerberus you speak of, I can confirm DOTO has doubtlessly dealt with any villainous incarnations they've come off. However, far too many records for your mind to handle."

Daintily coughing to clear her throat, what seems like a holographic book suddenly appears next to the white band, Nexus talking with a calm voice. "That is all I could find, ready to convert directly into knowledge for your brain to store. Honestly, as part of a more advanced organization, I am uncertain of how to convince you Truth is being told. Such things merely need trust... Nonetheless, if you do come with us, we'll be sure to one day properly deal with the Cerberus in this universe."

Jack - Purgatory, Mass Effect -> Midnight Palace

Before doing anything else, Jack immediately touched the file in order to find out if it was what she needed. The information surged into her mind ... Names, dates, funds, even her hateful old name, this last bit setting her expression into a deep scowl, it was there. "Well, your people are damn competent, I can give you that much. I didn't actually think anyone outside of that damn Cerberus could get have this much on that wretched hellhole. I sure as hell don't want to be stuck forever in this particular hellhole and if you're going to do something about those Cerberus bastards, then fine, I will come with you. Shouldn't miss a chance to make them pay for the hell they put me throught for anything in this damn galaxy. Well, here goes nothing ... " With that, she relunctantly reached for the Law Control and was taken away.

Elisa Tracks

As I waited, I listened to Cornelius and Ryan. Now I know I don't have to worry too much on having others wait. I really wanted to check out the Arena of Heroes. After they finished, Nexus answered. I chuckled. There wasn't any translation going to be needed, though I idly wondered what language the others were speaking.

Really? Okay then... I responded to Nexus. Then I pretended to be "speaking" to my brother, since she said that's almost what she's doing. Elliot, it's me. I know you probably heard I'm missing from prison. Don't worry. Yeah, I know I "technically" broke out but with good reason. I've been recruited by this organization to help people and make up for what I did. What I nearly did. And one day, I could come back without having to be in prison. Stay safe, and take care—both yourself and Gwen.

I decided to wait until after this was done to ask about where exactly the Arena of Heroes was.

Jigen was slightly surprised the suit sat well on him, especially since even if he knew about suits and what he liked, his first employers made sure he did, he wasn't exactly a tailor or anything similar. This clued him in to the how the device might work, meeting him halfway between his knowledge and his imagination, good to know but Jigen wasn't exactly the most creative sort... He sighed out loud. That meant he'd have to, at least, look at a schematic of the rocket pack he was thinking of. The voice in his head was unsettling too, but given recent events he maybe could take this stride.

He felt the gun slot itself into its holster, and he felt more at ease. He casually pulled it out with his right hand. He examined it, making certain it hadn't been tampered with. He pulled the cylinder to the side, and cracked a smile for the first time in the day... hell first time in weeks He gave it a spin then set it back to its regular position with a flick of his wrist.

He holstered it casually enough and set about to deliver the message; Lupin, this is Jigen. you might already know I'm out of jail by now. Now I didn't do it myself and if I told you... well, maybe you'll believe me. The point is another group busted me out for a few jobs. I won't tell you not to look for me because I know you will, but you won't find me, and that isn't a challenge you hear me?! What I mean to say, is that I will be gone for a while, and when I'm done with my part here I'll find you. In the meantime, look out for yourself and don't do foolish things while I can't stop you He thought and walked around ''I'm going to find a place to rest, do call me up when you need me" he sent at Nexus as he set out to do said thing.

Creaking was heard as Doomguy's hand curled slowly into a fist. However there was no good physical object to slam it into to express his immense irritation at the reasoning given for not giving him a BFG. Mostly, the implication that he would somehow let anyone take such a weapon from him. Instead, he titled his head to stare at the white band of the law control covering the wrist of his praetor suit.

He unwittingly sent out a burst of impatience tinged with rage with the Law Control's Universal translation/psychic communication function. There were no actual words transmitted, but it was clear that he wanted to be sent on that mission now, even if he was the only one of the group willing to jump straight into it.

Jack - Midnight Palace, Media Center's Portal Area

Jack arrived a pretty damn weird place. It had fancy tech and stuff, but it seemed to starry inside. What the ...?

She stood apart from the group and quietly but indignant listened to the glowy old geezer's explanation. Just because these people had helped didn't mean she had to play nice.

When it was over, she went to the woman from before and said, "Alrighy, you effing saved me, so I assume I have to save this Gravity place in return, despite what you may damn say otherwise. So send me over and let's get this over with."

I flinched as I felt very miffed feelings go through the psychic link. I nearly forgot that the Law Control could do that. But I didn't really need it to guess who was it or why. It was the guy who had the huge shotgun earlier and I figured he wanted to get going. And he wasn't the only one. Another woman—as far as she could tell—equally agitated, wanted to get this over with. I didn't feel like leaving the two by themselves.

So I said, a bit sheepishly, "And send me with them. I, uh...changed my mind on checking the Arena of Heroes."
