This appears to be a case of The Same But More Specific from Cultural Translation. The distinction between the two is shaky and blurry as the world through beer goggles. Cultural Translation describes this trope as "when this trope is attempted-" (like I said, The Same But More Specific) "-but still has setpieces that reveal its true country of origin," but has quite a few examples of its own that fit that exact billing. They have quite a few examples in common. Both of them even refer to the exact same webcomic strip for an example.
Since this one is quite short by comparison to its twin, I'd suggest chopping it and migrating its examples over. I think it does have a somewhat better-written and more robust intro though, so maybe some of that verbiage could also be transferred. If that's a no-go, then there at least needs to be some more careful delineation to solidify the line between the two.
