Yeah, then we would have had a montage of chaos with people toppling fruits baskets and all that!
I'm surprised All Might actually survived. Dude was setting up Death Flags like a child playing Minesweeper.
Really good episode. Never thought I'd ever enjoy a Jump battle manga this much, but Hero academia delivers excellently.
Man, that final reprise of All Might's theme at the end there. I love it.
I have a message from another time...Outstanding episode and all the hype payed off
Uni catThink this was the last "big moment" in the series for a while.
But Bones are blowing it out of the park with this adaptation.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Agreed. I haven't enjoyed their stuff this much since Soul Eater before it kind of went off rails.
IMO, one of the strongest moments was when All Might used the absolute last of his strength to assume his mighty form and give a fist up for the public.
The end of things is this week's theme. The public including his comrades and successor now have to deal with a world without All Might there to save everybody, and this unfortunately gives the villains an edge up now that the King piece has been eliminated. The tense and uncertain feeling is all too real IRL.

On the other hand, by taking down All For One, All Might managed to buy the next generation time to prepare and step up to the challenge. Tomura might still be out there with the League of Villains, but without his master's influence he's bound to be less effective, if only because he no longer has access to Nomus. All Might's final victory was also of such spectacular scale, it will serve as an inspiration to heroes for generations to come.
So it's very well a theme of beginnings as well. All Might's career has ended, but with his last push he had successfully passed the torch of not just One For All, but true heroism in general.
Pretty much like Whitebeard's death inspiring a new age of piracy in One Piece.
Also, pretty sure we are at the point of getting a new opening, if they do things like they did last season.
All Might and All For One were there centerpiece I this one so I think you're right.
They'll probably keep it for one more week. That makes it a full cour.
Plus there's this thing us manga readers are expecting them to do.
Wait which is?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ok, so this◊ is the cover of a chapter just after All Might loses One for All.
Look familiar? There's a shot very similar to this in the opening, except All Might is inflated.
Ok, so without going into spoiler territory; I just want to point that Af O's relationship with Shiragaki is meant to parallel All Might's and Deku's. Soooo, ponder on that while thinking about the aftermath of all of this.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm looking forward to Shigiraki getting his coat.
He looks way better with the coat.
The chapter where Shigaraki hijacks the caravan with Overhaul, leaps off of his ride onto the truck, overturns it and then he and Compress utterly destroy Overhaul has got to be in the top 5 moments in the series.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.~Ninety I should probably note that we try to avoid any manga spoilers, tagged or otherwise.
Nevermind mentioning characters that haven't been so much as foreshadowed yet and aren't likely to occur this season at all.

Only watched the episode today... and wow. Didn't expect All Might to live through this encounter. I don't even have much else to say, the whole thing was just a rollercoaster of emotions.
...Okay, I have one theory: it occurred to me that AFO and All Might probably pass on their powers in similar ways. In other words, I'm expecting AFO to have some of his DNA frozen in some hideout somewhere, and Shigaraki can just go there and ingest it whenever he thinks he's ready.
I mean, AFO's whole deal is stealing and taking powers, the DNA thing actually strikes me as too-lowgrade for him.
Besides, even One For All eating the person's DNA isn't enough, they have to be specifically willing it to go into the person.

The main issue there is All Might tells Izuku that, at least in the case of One For All, the transfer has to be willing. That's why Stain didn't get it during their altercation. Freezing willingly designed to impart quirk DNA seems possible in theory, but I'm not sure how it'd work out.
More on the headcanon side, I tend to believe that the only quirk All For One can't transfer is All For One itself. No real basis on that, if I'm being honest, just the additional parallel/foil it gives to One For All.
I've always imagined that All For One (person) always intended to pass on All For One (Quirk to him, as well). It's the only way to be absolutely sure that Tomura wouldn't become mindless like the Nomus.
Besides, he intends on Tomura to become the "next him". I feel like that has more meaning than just "Next underworld boss" or whatever.

Now there's a thought. Can All for One pass on multiple quirks at the same time, or does he have to do it individually? I guess the best way to do it would be to give All for One to Shigaraki, then have him use All for One to take all the quirks from All for One. Man, that was a bit confusing.
It definitely showed that they loved and trusted All Might as their idol and hero, but I think it was also part pure shock and desperation. There's this inhumanly strong villain just casually blowing away half a district of a city at this moment, and it's too horrifying to believe that there's nobody who can stop this man. They want to believe that their strongest hero can do something against him.
All Might did build this public image of himself over the years as the ultimate pillar you can depend on no matter how bad things get, and the public reaction was a result of that ground work. Thank god he managed to deliver on that promise, because can you imagine how people would have felt to see All Might brutally pummeled to death, after all that desperate cheering and praying?
