WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE POST?

This anime, it made me cry a little bit. A few minutes into the first episode, and... Aniki? Is that you?

I... *sniff* I didn't realize how much I missed Kamina. I know that guy's not him, but... but he tugs at the same heartstrings...

I gave this one episode, and it bored me to tears so I decided not to watch anymore.

I'm watching it right now and why is TRIGGER trying to be SHAFT?

Unless it's some kind of penis joke...

Well SHAFT is one of the most profitable and influential anime studios as of late. No reason to not borrow from the best.

Well Shaft has worked with Gainax before, so I think it's safe to assume that so have the people from Trigger who came from Gainax. It's not super surprising that Trigger would bring in some influence from Shaft.

Twist beginning, entertaining episode, and twist ending. The last one in particularly introduces an interesting wrinkle into the show's philosophy

I uh, don't think Maki was totally lying, given the imagery from Episode 2 and her suggestion of what the Seventh Kiznaiver did to be hospitalized.

Yuta's girly run into the sea was a thing of beauty.

Ha, yeah, I remember noticing that at the time.

Also Maki is a total waifu ;~;.

You know, as Trigger's like first 'serious' drama series, I've really liked it so far. I hope they can do more original work in the future.

It's been pretty fun! I was a little eh during the camp episodes, but the last two were fantastic. I hope Maki gets to continue growing.

What really got was that Nico apparently wants to be psychically connected to the others. I think I'd kill myself if that happened

This is a very interesting anime. Pretty discussion worthy actually.

I gotta say, the Kizuna system, I don't agree with it. Ya can't just force people to connect, especially by making them all feel each others pain then putting them in dangerous situations so they can reveal their darkest secrets. Chances are you won't get people to connect but they might resent each other instead or at least resent the person responsible for all the shit there going through.

Me and a friend think as the series goes on it'll dig into how problematic the system is. There's also the issue of people just having mutually incompatible ways of seeing the world, where having an understanding of the other side just isn't good enough.

I swear this show gets more interesting the longer it stays away from the alleged plot/conspiracy.

Might be my imagination, but the leftmost girl in the picture of past Kiznaivers looks a bit like Nico, she also seems to know more than she let's on. Wonder where the plot will go next, another character arc or go forward with the mail plot.

Theyre kind of both the same thing given the premise...

I gotta say I really don't like Chidori. I kinda find her annoying & she seems to be projecting her own feelings on Katsuhira, especially her breakdown during the trip when she said that both of them were hurting due to Katsuhira's bullying when in reality he couldn't feel anything but zero fucks. Also the fact, were 7 episodes in & everything that has to do with her is always bout her feelings for the guy which makes her kinda flat/shallow compared to her fellow Kiznaivers.

Which elder god did Chidori piss off? She just keeps on losing no matter what she does.

She was born into an anime where emotional and physical suffering are key to advancing the plot. Throw in giant flesh golems and these kids could be Eva pilots. Hell, Gendo Ikari would probably kill to get a hold of the Kizna system.
