Suggestion: Council Of Vampires

I was told that if you have 3 or more candidates for an as-yet unpictured page, it's better to handle that in a seperate thread from the main one, so here.

Council of Vampires has several decent contenders:

• House of Erebus◊ from Blade.
• Viktor's council from Underworld.
• Volturi◊ from Twilight.
• Artwork◊ from unknown source.

Opened.

The second looks like it could be interesting but it's miniaturised.

Agreed with . The first is two dark; the others have potential.

1.1◊ and 1.2◊ (larger images) are not bad. Do we have a shot with the teeth showing to make this more relevant?

1.2 > 1.4 > 1.3 > 1.1.

That's how I'd rank it too.

I'd like to see 1.2 in wiki size before voting for that one, because it looks like it would be way too small & crowded to see at a smaller scale.

1.4 is good enough.

I'm only seeing The Omniscient Council of Vagueness from the suggestions due to the lack of obvious vampire signs.

As much as I hate the Twilight franchise, the Volturi actually have the most obvious physical vampire traits (pale skin, red eyes).

Yeah, the Twilight pictures actually gets that across and is probably the best one (despite being weak on the "council" part).

1.3 doesn't look like a council at all.

1.3 is probably the best suggestion so far, but I have to say that has a point. It really doesn't look like a council; there aren't enough people.

3 is enough (if weak), plus they're sitting on thrones to provide context their authority.

A council is a group discussing things. 1.3 shows royal vampires doing some reigning.

Exactly my point. For me "council" implies a sort of group discussion. Two people isn't enough for a good illustration; if I had to guess without context I wouldn't realize that they're supposed to be part of a council.

There's this example of various fictional vampires meeting◊ from a CollegeHumor vid. Not sure how much of an example it is, though.

This cartoon does something similar, also played for laughs.

Both examples demonstrates the trope. Leaning towards 18.2.

I got a laugh out of 18.2...that's my choice for now.

Agreed. 18.2 is pretty good, so if we can get permission, I vote for that.

I don't see anything on the page stating that permission is required before using the pic, so we should be able to go ahead and use it as long as we provide a link back to the original pic and the artist's dA page, as is usually done for such pics. That said, if anyone does want to contact the artist to get permission, go for it.
