He can make his own glasses with materials from the forest. Or maybe he stole some from humans.

alright so these animals can perform somewhat complex tasks, right? you mentioned making glasses out of forest materials was an option, and iirc cake's character can swordfight

Acceptable. Hell, my own character is a former pet.

Wild boars are 150 cm in body length, which means that they will be much larger than the rest of the characters. They aren't, however, bigger than a human (160 cm in USA).

Well, you will have to do with the fact that you don't have the limbs to make tools.

whats the current setting look like? i'm guessing there's a couple human settlements and maybe a forest, but is there, say, a mountain or somesuch nearby?

i'm leaning heavily towards cat or goat, i might go with both if i really cant decide

Well, the current setting is that there's a forest (that was nearly burned down by the actions of Berno), and a suburban neighborhood, part of an entire city. There isn't probably a mountain.
