"Ergh...So it seems..." Tarou mutters as he stands, brushing the non-existent dirt from his clothing. He approaches the others and the fallen unagi. "Though, my contribution to the fight was practically nothing. Damn this spiritual body..." He grumbles, then glanced over to the other spirit. "Um, no offense to you, of course. Thank you for stepping in to help me. Both of you. I might have wound up as dinner otherwise." He continues, giving them both a bow of respect.

Serpent River:

"It is my duty to protect the more benevolent spirits. This thing also planned to kill me, so I had no real other choice." The Outlander replied, returning the respectful bowing gesture. "Who are you two?" He then asked the two spirit people.

"No offense taken.." The spirit frowns, as if something is bothering them, but quickly shakes it off. "And you're welcome.."

"I... I don't remember who I am..."

Tarou looks a bit troubled, folding his arms. "The truth of it is...I am not normally in such a state. I was separated from my body. Well, technically, I separated myself from it, but then the other me kind of took over and..." He trails off, realizing how he must sound. "...Sorry. To say it plainly, I am normally a man. But for very complex reasons right now, I am a spirit. Er, anyway, my name is Rentarou."

He looks over to the other spirit, at hearing their reply. "You do not remember? Can you remember...Well, anything recent?"

The spirit's frown returns and deepens.

"I remember waking up.. There's a mountain about half a day's journey from here.. I walked all the way back.. and there you people were.." As they try to remember more, Tarou and possibly the Outpander might notice their form becoming a little more definite. It's a small and easily missed change, though- they're still pretty fuzzy and indistinct. In another note, now that they're closer they might feel that the air around the spirit is notably cold, though not uncomfortably so.

Tarou furrows his brows, his sharp eyes still picking up the subtle change, even with his current state. "From the mountain?" He glances over in that direction as he says it. "The northern range is pretty snowy this time of year... Perhaps..." He stops as a certain thought seems to cross his mind and shakes his head slightly before continuing. "Well, one possibly is that...Perhaps you were born there? If you just came into being...You probably wouldn't know much about...Well, most things."

He notices the coldness, it not really bothering him as much right now, but can't tell it's there. "There's a chill..."

The spirit doesn't seem to pick up on what Tarou's implying.

"Born there? What do you mean by that?"

They look around, as if the cold is something they could see. "It doesn't feel cold to me..."

" They call me The Outlander," The Outlander began before adding, "and I am only looking for somewhere safe to rest before I continue my journey."

Tarou looks to the Outlander. "Well, if you're looking for a town, the village where I live is not far from here. We have to travel back up the clearing here and then go through the forest a bit...There should definitely be a room at the tavern you can rent."

Tarou looks back over to the spirit. "Well...Maybe that is where you became a spirit. After you...Died." he suggests, pulling the folds of the plain kimono he was in to try and fight back the cold, but failing. "I'm not saying that definitely the case, but...It is a possibility."

Serpent River:

The Outlander's eyes suddenly widened at the mention of a town being nearby, even though his eyes were mostly hidden by his hat. If it was the same town that he had ran away from earlier, things would quickly take a turn for the worst. He didn't want to seem too suspicious and merely accepted the offer as he said, " I will follow you to this town if you insist." He then dug into his right pocket and realized that he only had a few coins, definitely not enough to rent a room, and was barely enough for the cheapest, low-quality alcohol available in most taverns.

" If this town is any bit safe, I will find my own accommodations. I am not exactly in good circumstances right now." The Outlander then said with a deliberate sense of vagueness.

Tavern - Ren and Mana's Room

Ren chuckles a little bit at Yoshiki's reaction. "Mana's quite strong, yes." He smiles a little at him asking the trinket a question, innocently.

For Yoshiki there is a brief moment where it almost feels like the snake motifs eyes flashed a tiny bit, but Ren didn't seem to react, and it was brief like blink and it went away so its hard to say for sure.

"Not all bracelets can, just this one in particular." He smiles warmly at him.

Blacksmith Hut - Living Area

Rhylu listens to the story being told not interrupting, just letting the final bits of work being done to him. His head turns to Date. "Alright." Nodding in confirmation of understanding.

He looks over and nods his head a little to Minami's return.

Market Square

In the center of town, Mana continued to sit upon the ground, in her slow chant with Xeo circling invisible around her. Working whatever spell she drew up around the town, slowly, and subtly.

Kokoro also siled "Yes, Master Date~" She bowed her head in his direction and then again in Rhylu's direction. As Minami came in she also bowed her head in her direction. She looked relieved that now everything was done. "I'm happy to hear that Master Date." She looked back to Rhylu and Date again, presuming that Rhylu now probably would need to sleep "Do you need me for something else?"

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"

Tavern

Pol nods, "That's normally the hardest part. Unfortunately, a lot of it comes down to memorization. I'll help you, though. Most of the kanji somewhat look like what they're trying to depict." She pulls out a blank scroll and a brush and ink, "For now, let me walk you through the ones on this sheet stroke by stroke, alright, dear?"

Tenzo nods, starting to practice writing kanji characters with Pol's guidance. It's apparent that he isn't used to handling a brush, but his writing is at least somewhat legible.

Tavern - Ren and Mana's Room

"Mm-hmm..." Yoskiki nods sleepily, not seeming to notice the momentary flash of the eyes either. "I wonder if I can learn stuff like that someday..." He sets the bracelet back on top of the mountain of valuables and possessions in the chest and goes to sit on the edge of the bed. "Do you think I can?"

Blacksmith Hut - Living Area

Date shakes his head. "No, that will be all. Go now and get some rest for tomorrow. I am thinking a special lesson might be in store for both of you." He says to both Kokoro and Minami.

"Yes, master Date." She says, bowing in response before looking to Kokoro. "Also, you need not worry about your lodging. I convinced my parents and they said it was okay for you to stay with us while you are here training under Master Date."

Tarou nods to the Outlander, turning to lead him and seemingly the other spirit back in the direction of the village. "I'm certain it will be fine. I have little to no income and I've been staying at the tavern for a wh-gaah..." He says, suddenly stopping for a moment and lightly gripping at his stomach. "...The hell...?"

".. I hope that's not the case..." They also follow Tarou.

"What's wrong?" They step forward as Tarou grips his stomach.

"If you say so, then lead the way." The Outlander initially replied, now using his staff as a walking stick. When the group suddenly decided to stop, the Outlander simply asked, "What is wrong? Did the Unagi hurt you more than you realized?"

Tarou hesitates for a moment. "...I-I am fine...Just...Felt an odd sensation for a bit...I'll be alright." He says, continuing forward, seeming to be walking with a very slight limp for a bit. "...I don't recall if I asked...But, do you have a name? Or something you'd prefer to be called?" He asks the other spirit.

"..." They don't seem to believe Tarou, but leave it at that.

"If I have a name, I don't remember it.. Call me what you like, I guess..."

Sasuke holds Tarou close in bed, their bodies and hands still intertwined, rubbing his back and kissing him gently.

Tavern

Pol observes his attempt, nodding appraisingly, resting her hand on his shoulder, "Here, sit up a bit straighter, dear. And hold the brush a bit like you're holding an egg, you don't want to crush it."

"I'm as free as the dust in the solar wind."

Tavern - Ren and Mana's Room

"I don't see why not Yoshiki-tan, your have to study hard and be careful, it can be hard work." Ren smiles a little going over putting a hand on the sleepy boys shoulder. "But if you want to do it, i'm sure you can."

Blacksmith Hut - Living Area

Rhylu looks up at Date, thinking about the same topic as the others. "Will I be resting here with your Sensei?" He asks softly, and exhausted his wounds defiantly also needing time to just rest not having the immortal lad charging about.

Sonome Village, Blacksmithh's Hut, Living Area

Kokoro bowed in the direction of Date "Of course Master Date, I'll make sure to properly rest." Hearing Minami saing that she now had secured lodging brought a smile on Kokoro's face. She bowed again, this time in the direction of Minami "Thank you so much Minami." Kokoro looked to Date now, waiting for his decision egarding Rhylu.

Tenzo nods, and shifts his position. It takes a moment for him to figure out what Pol means, given the difference in shape between an egg and a brush, but he seems to catch on. His writing actually starts to get better for a while, until the brush slips from his now loose grip and paints a thick stroke across the paper. Tenzo grumbles in frustration and reaches down to pick it up.
