[up][up]Perhaps an example SU is in order? I was gonna join, but now I'm unsure as to what's expected of me.

Also you can make money selling stuff you get in MM Os. It doesn't pay very well, but you might be able to get by if you know what you're doing, like how to use bots effectively. So if you were good at it you'd prolly be living off of ramen, but it'd be doable.

Interested! I will write up a signup for a descendant of Quetzalcoatl soon.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

I'd like to know where the RP is set before writing the "biography" part of my character, please?

Or, hmmm. Perhaps I'll roll up a descendant of Poseidon instead. Yeah, I'll do that.

So one of the ideas I had for a legacy was Spring-heeled Jack, but would Victorian era be considered too 'recent' for the purposes of this RP?

[up]x5 Same here. I'm interested too, but after seeing two decent (if not great,) Sign-ups get rejected, I'd like to see just what counts as an acceptable Sign-up here.

I'm sorry, everyone. As I said, I don't think I have a lot of time for running this RP, and to be perfectly honest, I've been depressed with a highly fluctuating mood lately, which makes it hard for me to make solid judgments. There are some things I want to say to defend myself, but that's beside the point. I was hasty in posting this RP; I just wanted to set something out there to see if people would be interested, and I'm grateful to see that they are, even if my mind and heart's not all on it.

I didn't have too many plans for the RP - I just wanted an urban fantasy, modern day setting where we draw inspiration from past stories. If anyone is willing to take over, I'd be thankful. If not, then I apologize for getting your hopes up. I won't be able to do anything with this at the moment, not anytime soon. Not until I get my own life issues sorted out.

@ secretlyasuperhero: I think your character's basic idea is fine. I just wanted more details to get a nice, clear picture and to make it understandable and cohesive to me. I hope I wasn't too critical in my assessments.

@ Lt.B.Gob: I like your character, and would've been glad to accept it once it was completed.

whizzerd: Urban legends and the like would be fine.

@ desdendelle: It likely would've been modern day US, probably one of the coasts, since I'm lazy and Americentric. If someone else takes over though, they can change the setting if they like.

@ Heroic Sociopath, kkhohoho: I have an idea for a character myself, but I don't have a critical assessment of them balance or concept wise, and I'm in a poor mindset to make that call. Actually, kkhohoho, I apologize for dropping this onto you, but I've heard good things about your GMing. Would you be interested in, maybe not necessarily running this as it stands, but adapting the idea, perhaps? I enjoying thinking of frameworks, but it's the implementation and GMing that's key, and I don't believe I can where I am in life right now.

Hey dude, don't stress about it. I know how depression screws with your brain and you don't need to apologize. Just get well. smile

It's a great concept, just needed a little more firm description of its limits and setting. I'm tempted to take the reigns if people are still eager to do this.

I'd like to join in, it's just that, you know, I was waiting for how things would turn out. Plus the questions of the others getting answered so I could work on my own SU.

[up][up] And maybe a story. You know, so we had something to do for those who couldn't really think of something to do.

@starbound: I know how depression-caused mood swings can mess with you. Don't worry about it, hope it looks up for you soon. smile

@LtBGob, @khohoho: Since I've RP'd with you guys before I'd be happy if either of you chose to take the reigns for this thing. Not sure I'm confident enough to offer my own hand for G Ming, but I'm happy to help any other way I can.

@Starbound 2: Sorry to hear that. As for GM'ing, well, I wasn't planning on it, but what the hey? If it's fine with you, then sure, I'd be glad to take it over. I've also just finished college and am still looking for a decent job, so I've got plenty of free time on my hands.tongue But yeah, you can count on me.grin

With that said, I'm going to need a bit to look over the opening post. The concept of this RP is going to be the same as Starbound 2's, and it's still largely going to be freeform, but at the same time, I still want to have some sort of actual plot beyond people just having the abilities of mythological figures and doing whatever. I'll also open up a Discussion thread at some point, so that you can all talk about just what you want to do in the RP before it opens. In the meantime, just sit tight everyone, and don't be afraid to make new Sign-ups or edit your old ones either.smile

Just a heads up everybody. I've talked to Starbound 2, and as far as we know, there's no way to to pass ownership of the first post of the Sign-up thread to me, which means I can't edit it. With that in mind, I'll be making a new Sign-up thread. Everyone who's already posted a Sign-up can just repost them over there, and everyone who's still in the process of making theirs should hold off until the new thread's up. (Which shouldn't be that long.)

[up]Yup; Sign-ups are still open, and they always will be. Just wait until the new Sign-up thread gets posted, OK?smile

And the new Sign-up thread is up and running! Anybody who's already posted a Sign-up here, please repost them in the new thread. Anyone who hasn't posted one yet can still do so. (In the new thread of course If you've got any questions, please feel free to ask them.smile

Also, there's a Discussion thread available right here, if you're so inclined. Let's get this going, shall we?smile
