Did the previous thread by chance have the scene in Drawn Together where Princess Clara flashes the camera and the censor bar says "DVD only"?
No, every external link in that thread is dead.
^ Those strike me more as localized Bowdlerization.
Obviously we can't use a straight example, but I'm not sure how much those dvd covers illustrate the trope either. 1.2. comes closest with its claim of "DVD exclusive!", but it feels like it's mostly just restating the trope name.
Does Saw's ridiculously bloody unrated DVD cover work better at showing the trope while still being within bounds?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Who'd ever watch Saw without cuts?
Not really sure how well it works, though.
Check out my fanfiction! The Saw pic is on part with my suggestions. The anime pics are right out as they're more about creative forms of censoring than this trope...same general problem with the similar suggestions in the previous thread.
Yeah, the anime pics lean way too hard on stuff like Scenery Censor or Bowdlerization to be good examples for this trope.

The previous thread for Too Hot for TV went through a ton of images comparing censored and uncensored shots of various anime, and Eddie eventually just closed it with a "we don't need a pic" notice. However, I think it would be just as good to have a pic of a DVD installment of a TV show that collects the parts that either had to be censored or couldn't be shown at all, since anything that plays the trope completely straight is going to be NSFW or too close for comfort. With that in mind, here's some ideas: 1◊ (needs cropping), 2◊, 3◊
