According to Garnet, hallucinations in general seem to happen to all fusions when destabilizing and coming apart, at least when it's due to emotional problems. Given that, the world falling apart hallucination during the race with Kevin was probably an example of the same thing.

Future Boy Zoltron was very sweet. Definitely develops Mr. Smiley quite a bit. Mr. Frowny was a very interesting new character. Not sure if ship it since we may never see him again, but repairing their friendship was very heartwarming.

Whenever I've written Jaspearl it was always basically Jasper realizing she loves the fact that Pearl made herself into a warrior stronger than some quartzes. It's a neat idea, plus they just look cool together.
I don't like the idea of Pearl being in a relationship yet period. She needs to learn to love herself first, which Rebecca Sugar herself said is going to be a major theme this season. Unless she rushes headlong into another relationship only for it to crash and burn because of her issues, which would probably be too dark, but maybe they feel Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped.
I know that a lot of people thought Pearl had a unrequited crush on Garnet at the beginning
