Ask not for whom the bells toll. They toll for Powerless.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The "serious" Batman fans would complain about this assessment, but after slogging through the whole first season of Gotham, I have come to the conclusion that it is actually a pretty good representation of a Batman comic. Gotham is better realized than in any of the recent batman movies, where it looks more like a random American city, you have the crazy plans the various criminals come up with and the over-the-top equipment. Sure, the writing is terrible, and there is a lack of Batman (though I have to add that I am actually more invested in Bruce's and Selina's story than anyone else's), but it feels like the people behind it do have an appreciation for the source material, weather you like their interpretation of not. Hence I am not terrible surprised that the audience is sticking around.
Powerless on the other hand...yeah, Sitcoms are currently not particularly popular in general, and this one looks like one of the very old sitcoms which are just corny nowadays. Not surprised that it got the axe. I wonder if this means that ABC will look into damage control again, or if this is the final death sentences for this concept in general.
Last episode aired exclusively on DC Entertainment's You Tube page.
They might have the unaired episodes on the DVD.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI am really glad that there is still an animated movie to be released....Adam West really deserves a more dignified last appearance.
I really liked the cast overall.
