Kyerine nods to Mireille. "Yeah we do, actually its always been common for us. You see we adopt our forms and basic structures from the creature or creatures our parents form a union with. It's uncommon and even seen as a bit distasteful to form any unions that only include our kind, making many resort to finding a breeding partner of a different species. 'Purebreeds' are often see as weakening our integrity since we can inherit and pass on traits from each parent species within a union making a true 'purebreed' an unattractive... I guess the best word would be 'genetic' option." He continues making quotation marks as he says genetics.

Jarrith was my best friend and best companion. We spent our days wiping out the scum of the galaxy, one at a time. He was wild, innovative, driven. He was the very opposite of myself, but there was no better team than us. We were together through thick and thin. Things were going amazingly, until one day 5 years ago. He had went behind my back and made a deal with some of my worst enemies. I had to put him down. Of course, not before he took 2 of my limbs and quite literally broke my heart.

"Oh? I know that some species could do such... but I never heard of a species that more or less exclusively relies on this form of reproduction." She looked at Kyerine. "Quite interesting... so, since you have nearly no culture of your own... how does a planet inhabitted mostly by Rysha look like?"

Yup. He was like a brother to me. But, stuff happens. It's a fact of life. Dwelling on the past only makes it hurt worse.

"Hmmm..." Kyerine hums in thought trying to consider how to answer before sitting up straight, his legs still tangling. "I could show you what our planet used to look like if you wanted?" He responds with a curious smile.

Even the insectioid seemingly taking interest and moving away from the door closer to said counter Kyerine is on, but not threateningly close.

Mireille gave a nod "Certainly, if you want to~" She watched as the insect came nearer, patting it "I hope you don't mind to wait just a little longer?"

Kyerine nodded with a bright smile. "Okay, let me try this!"
He excitedly lets out putting a hand out before him, a sphere of blueish iridescent light forming and expanding to be as big as maybe a basketball. The light shifting in a odd way, almost looking two-dimensional before images begin to appear of Kyerine's homeworld. Lushous and green, large spans of forest and plains with these odd juttings of brightly glowing crystals, similar to the stone in Kyerine's necklace all over the place. The architecture this odd blend between cultures and locations. Some that would make no practical sense for a regular human but the creatures seem are of all types. Some seemingly more like tigers, some more like birds, many almost these mythological pairings. Pretty much no humans seen though, a few other spacefaring races can be seen but these are far and few between.

Kyerine using his other hand to brush across the sphere of light almost like turning a page and the image changes. "Here have a look for yourself, these are memories passed down of what our world was like."

One thing that would be easily noticeable, very little in the way of electronics or technology in general almost like a world pulled from a fantasy novel back in earth. There was the occasional small bit of electricity but what machines were seen even transport based were often far more mechanical. Using mechanical energy like gears, steam and hydrolics to operate. Either that or seemingly by crystals of essence being used instead.

Sha'Koro looked up "Ancient ruins mostly... I dig out artifacts... most are being send to a museum or another, but we tend to sell the ones that have no scientific value, we informed every museum about that and always send in the data first so they can pick all interesting ones... we got around quite a bit.

Mireille looked at the world... it was quite fascinating to see, as she looked at the world... but she could not overhear tht Kyerine used the past tense... seeing as how he seemed to be reluctant with some other things she figured that this might would have somethign to do with it "Kyerine... you don't have to answer the next question... but you said 'was'... does your world look different now?"

Kyerine takes only a few brief moments before nodding a frown forming as he closes his eyes for a moment and the topic of the sphere seemed to change.

The new images many the terrain recognisable to the previous but was far far different. The land turned to this either cold or just dry and baron wasteland. The sky covered in thick unnatural looking clouds. The world dark, the sun barely penetrating through. Towns, buildings everything was gone. What plantlike rarely showed itself was twisted and changed, poisoned by whatever had tainted their world. Many of the crystals blackened or Gray without the colour of glow they previously had. Pretty much no animals could be seen, nor seemingly active structures, even the ocean dried up. The only thing still standing is seemingly a heavilly eroded tower, build of old stone that the world seems to want to erode but it resists. A overwhelmingly bright light shining from the peke providing magnitudes more light that anything that the sun seems to allow through but even then.... That still left the world around, specifically in the distance dark and dim. The weather left as either sandstorms or frigid winter, either way that planet is incredibly hostile looking to life.

An acquaintance of mine on Talgen Prime is an Archeotechnologist. She's made quite a respectable sum of money by studying the tech of extinct sentient races. She pays very well if someone helps her get her hands on weapons, power cells, or robots from dead planets and ruins. I have her information if you'd be interested in doing some jobs

Sha'Koro gave a nod... there were certainly some things he'd excavated... but most of the technological stuff still had scientific vallue so he doubted that he could sell her much if anything at all. Still he nodded "Okay... but please understand that I only sell artifacts that hold no value to science, would I betray this pronciple of mine would set me no higher than a common grave robber."

Mireille looked at the new pictures, clearly shocked by the change "Oh my... I didn't know." She went to Kyerine and pat his head. "You don't have to continue... I get what you mean..." She figured that asking what had caused this would be too much for him right now, so she for now fell silent, gently hugging him.

She doesn't buy the tech, she pays the spelunkers to find them in advance. But, she's no stranger to giving bonuses for truly groundbreaking technological or historical finds.

Kyerine immediately upon being hugged breaks his concentration having the orb of light just collapse upon itself; hugging her back tightly. "I-I... I'm sorry Dr Mireille.. It-it all hurts. It's been like this all my life, I have never seen our world healthy..."

Sha'Koro sighed "Maybe... but I still feel that I could not do that... I'm sorry" He shook his head, no matter how the semantics were, for him it still amounted to him selling out technology that should be studied by a museum to a third party.

Mireille just put a finger on his mouth gently "Shhh... shhh you don't have to talk about that. Maybe when yuo feel ready... but for now lets not continue this..." Mireille continued to hug Kyerine, figuring for now it would be best to just calm him down.

Kyerine falls silent and just rests his head upon her as he hugs tightly, likely tight enough that if Mireille moved away from the counter she would end up taking him with her.

Kyerine continues hugging for a while longer before pulling back, his eyes and cheeks puffy with tears running down his face. His catlike eyes shaky as he looks at Mireille, maybe even a minor look of guilt that he tries to hide. "I'm sorry... Your lab assistant shouldn't get all down like this. I'm suppose to help you!"

Mireille hugged Kyerine "No, you're my lab assistant, so its my responsibility that you are alright. So if you feel down at any moment... come to me I'll help you as good as I can." She just gently heaved him up. "Its really alright Kyerine."

Kyerine hugs tightly as he is heaved up. "I'm okay. I'm your good strong little lab assistant. I promised to help however I can, and you help me when I need it, okay?" He responds trying to brush the tears off.

"Its alright, that's what I'm there for Kyerine" She smiled, also brushing some tears off him "Don't you worry."

Kyerine giggles as Mireille helps wipe of the tears. "Thank you Doctor!" Hugging again tightly for a few moments before pulling back again shaking his head alot letting his maybe slightly too long hair wave about a little.

A smile emerging on his face again now. "Hey, do you want to see something cool?" He responds with a question.

Mireille chuckled "That's what I'm here for Kyerine." As she heard his question she gave a warm smile "Sure, if you want."

Kyerine took in a deep breath and held it for a few seconds before things became to happen, first with a popping noise like joints going out of place then this strange fleshy stretching noise for just a second.
His catlike pupils shaky before elongating further and deepening in hue from the slight violet to becoming a much deeper blue, the same tone as his pendant. His ears suddenly protruding more becoming pointed "elfish" if you would. His body's mass increasing up to about where you would expect a human his size should weight, except she could also feel his muscular strength increase greatly. His eyes changing from roundish to more narrow. The nails on his hand becoming longer and more like claws. His clothes bought by Tor bulging a little bit not sized as well for this slightly larger form, his overall height likely increasing a little bit as well but not a lot only a inch of two still making him very small.

A long-feline like tail slipping out and his hair lengthening slightly. His skin discolours in spots almost forming in the same shade of blue some cat-like markings upon his revealed arms, legs and what could be seem of his torso, neck and sides of his head; though not his face.

"What do you think?" He excitedly asks quickly with a bright curious smile, now with some oddly adorable fangs on this 'little kitty'.

Mireille's eyes widened in shock at first... for all intends and purposes sickening sounds - although she personally had no real problems with such anymore... but she normally heard those from dead specimen - as she watched the transformation. Seeing it all completed and Kyerine obisouly still being alive and well she was relieved, eyeing him... Mireille had to admit that even now he looked more adorable than anything else really. "You look... quite adorable being honest..." Mireille could not surpress a smile... not one out of malice or anything, but a genuine smile at how he looked.
