Primal Cuts

David seems awkward when faced with so many people, and scratches the back of his head with a small laugh. His cheeks are tinted, showing that the drinks he's had are beginning to catch up to him.

"Hey everyone, I just wanted to...er...I guess thank you all for taking To...Jiko, right?"

Jiko nods, not sure whether or not he minds the others knowing (those that don't already, at any rate) his name or not.

"Er...yeah, sorry. I'm a little up there at this point. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for taking him in. And for letting me tag along as long as I have. I should be set soon, so I'll be out of your hair. I was also wondering if I could borrow Jiko for a few minutes. I got a message from home that I think he should hear," David then glances over to Lex and smiles sheepishly, "Alone, if that's okay."

Jiko is immediately put on guard by this, but knows David isn't stupid enough to try anything. Plus he's like a brother, or even a father. How could he say no? He goes to stand but gives Lex a look to make sure it's all right with her.

I'll be fine, he transmits.

At Chris' suggestion, Peter puts one on his left hand and levitates the water out of the pack on the side of his waist. "Yep, it still works." He puts the water back inside and takes off the glove.

"Yeah, you might wanna start slow. I'd rather not have you hit your head." Izzie says to Greg, before turning to Chris. "Thinking of buying that?"

"Ugh..." Mitch looks back down at his steak and resumes eating, rather dejected. "Why does this happen so often..." He says to himself. He lifts his heads up and nudges Val. "Hey, can you keep tabs on him, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid?"

Val nods to Jiko, secretly putting a mental tab on him so he can listen to his and David's conversation. "Sure." He keeps track of Rakiri telepathically as well.

((I'm hoping that I won't need to post several paragraphs eventually, at least the good news is that by the fourth or fifth post, I'll finally do something that may get someone else's attention. I hope the walls of text I've been posting have been somewhat enjoyable at the least so far.))

Unknown Star System 4.2 parsecs away from Nos Lycarin, Unknown moon:

For about 10 minutes, Krekktul and Torvahk had left the shipwreck and scouted their surroundings. The first thing they reported was that they had indeed crashed into a sand dune, and found that they were surrounded by an ocean of sand with scattered dunes and pits as far as they could see after trudging to the top of the crash site. They also noticed that the moon had less gravity than they were used to, but hadn't noticed until they set foot on its surface which confirmed that the transport ship's artificial gravity was still working somehow. Even with a general idea of where they were, it was hard to tell what to expect and what kind of resources (if any) would be available, which motivated Torvahk and Krekktul to continue exploring.

“Do whatever you think is necessary, just try not to get lost. I have a feeling that if we make it out of this, we'll need all the help we can get.” Corporal Dehneen told the duo as they set out further to continue their recon. “I've already set a nav point for the crash site, we'll be back before you know it.” Torvahk replied as he lead the way eastward. “You notice how she says 'if we make it out' right? You can tell Dehneen has her doubts.” Krekktul pointed out as he followed the Specialist. “She's just being realistic, there's no telling what could happen here.” Torvahk replied, with Krekktul simply sighing in agreement before the conversation ended. The duo would continue heading eastward for several minutes, occasionally passing the time with dialogue that at times was almost indistinguishable from bickering banter with Krekktul instigating and Torvahk trying to remain serious.

“You know what I don't get? How we managed to not only get flown off course, but end up 160 parsecs away from our assignment. Last time I checked, the planet we were supposed to land on was only 18 parsecs away from Takonov. It only should have taken us three jumps to get there.” Krekktul said with a sense of skepticism. “You're suggesting that we made roughly 26-27 jumps instead of 3? That doesn't sound like a small mistake...” Torvahk replied, unsure of whether there was any merit to whatever point Krekktul was trying to make if he had one.

“Exactly, it sounds like our 'glorious leader' who was only a Sargent had no idea what he was doing, and instead of admitting anything decided to make things worse by improvising and pretending he wasn't lost,” Krekktul continued before adding, “What was the excuse he used, mixing up the coordinates? I can see how that'd make sense if he had the numbers in the wrong places, but again that's just stupid, and we're all probably going to die because of him.” He then muttered something along the lines of, “Something tells me if he hadn't have died in the crash, Jrezgull would have either killed himself, or I would have done it myself.”

“You know, I can hear everything you're saying, and last time I checked badmouthing your superior is considered poor taste...especially if they're dead.” Cpl. Dehneen said over the comms before adding, “and last time I checked, you were only a private Krekktul.” “Well maybe if you don't like what I'm saying, you should shut your damn comms off or stop eavesdropping on other people's conversations!” Krekktul replied with no effort to hide his frustration. “Ignore that Corporal, last thing we need is to report something important, only to learn that you couldn't hear anything because you were annoyed with an insubordinate loudbeak.” Torvahk tried to say, however he heard no response afterward.

“She must have shut her comms off, or she's playing mind-games. That's fine, if we make it out of here I'll request a transfer. I didn't sign up to be part of this team anyhow.” Krekktul muttered in annoyance. “The way you're talking, I'd rather be listening to static right now myself. Let's just kill the chatter and stay focused on what we're doing.” Torvahk said in response before silence took over once again. Nobody would say a word for several more minutes, at least not until the duo came across a massive hole in the ground ahead of them full of wrecked spacecraft of various sizes, origins, and purposes.

“This is SPC. Torvahk Grevom reporting in, Krekktul and I have come across what looks like a boneyard full of crashed spaceships about 4 miles east of our crash site. We're going to investigate it and hopefully return with whatever supplies we can find.” Torvahk reported over his helmet's communicator, with one of the other crew members at the ship wreck replying, “Good luck with that, hope you find anything worth keeping.”

“Before you get carried away, mind telling me how many ships you think are out there?” Tekk Drezgil asked before Torvahk answered, “I'm not sure, more than I could count on two talons probably. We'll keep you posted.” After a brief pause, Torvahk added, “Be sure to tell the corporal to turn her comms back on if she hasn't already. There's no reason not to have them on.” “I've had them on the whole time, I just haven't said anything because I've been busy.” Dehneen replied, with Krekktul rolling his eyes in disbelief, well aware that they were hidden in his helmet visor. “Understood, we'll get started on examining these shipwrecks.” Torvahk said before everyone quit talking as he and Krekktul carefully headed deeper into the boneyard to scavenge for supplies.

Russell nods quickly and Michael just smiles a little bit. "I don't see any problems with it." Michael responds a little amused.

The group easily able to go inside what is, well a enormous arcade. It is less of a question of do they have x more over where is x. There are a decent number of people about, despite it being a relatively quiet area. Michael is looking around in a bit of awe at everything, not knowing what or where to go.

"I know the place well if you guys want help finding something." Russell offers cheerfully "looking" around.

"...Ugh..." Rakiri makes an irritated grunt as he finishes up and tucks himself away, the toilet flushing as he steps over to the sink. At least the water coming out of his body didn't hurt, like he'd always assumed it would. He reaches out and turns on the water, hesitating slightly before dipping his hands under the stream. He winces as his hands spark up just slightly, his currently tanned skin turning to its natural blue in spots. After having enough of that, he turns it off and idly runs a hand through his hair, making a streak of his natural blue to come through in the currently pinkish-red as he stares in the mirror. Then sighs. "...Knew what I was getting myself into, huh...jackass..." he mutters angrily and idly scratches his bare chest. "...Deciding to come without a shirt was stupid, I guess. Still ain't enough..."

''...Not like it ever will, either."

...

"Feh..." His expression and thought only adding to his frustration, he turns away and dries his hands before kicking the door open on his way out and leaves.

Axle's Extreme Sports Emporium

"Eh, I'll be fine." he answers Chris and Izzie. Looking the board over in his hands, he looks up and notes a promotion listed by the board racks. "...Oh, cool. Every new board comes with a free nav visor. Excellent." he says eagerly and goes over to pay for his purchase.

Tor chuckles slightly. "I promise it's good, no worry. That aside, though, do you see anything you want before I go and pay for these?"

Amos looks around, intrigued by all the machines and games and lights. He looks like he walked into one of his perfect ideals of heaven. Turning to Russell, he nods. "Sure! There's so much, I can't even think about what to start with."

Jiko nods and pecks Lex quickly on the cheek before following behind David.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to drag you away. It's pretty hot in here though. Might be the booze. We can step outside, if you want?"

"Sounds like a plan to me. You gonna be all right?"

"Yeah, yeah. Just a few shots, nothing major. Granted I haven't been planetside for almost three Terran months now, so I'm not so resistant to the sauce as I was..." David replies somewhat jovially, putting an arm around Jiko's shoulders. He even manages a small smirk, similar to that Jiko remembers from when he was younger. Happier times...kinda. At least between the two of them.

Once outside, however, the facade drops, and David's face takes on a much more serious look. Likewise, Jiko stops just outside the door (far enough away so that people can come and go, however) and raises an eyebrow.

"Message from home, huh? How long did it take you to come up with that?" His tone is neither angry nor accusatory, instead being more neutral than before.

"Heh..." starts David, scratching the back of his head, "Saw right through me, did you? Always were pretty quick on the draw. But there is a message."

"Oh yeah? And how many guesses do I get?"

"Three, but I can guarantee you'll only need one." At this Jiko takes a couple of moments, putting a hand to his chin before looking up at his old friend, mentor, father-figure, etc.

"Brindle."

Correct, but it goes further than that.

David nods at Michiyuki's intonation, and frowns deeply.

"She's right. This is higher than Alexander at this point, or he wouldn't have been so adamant. I even got an...an order from Bell. Granted, they disguised their comm signal, voice, face...everything, so I can't be sure, but I'm almost 90% positive it's from them...I'm...uh, not sure where to start."

The truth of the matter would be good, I think.

There are a few moments of silence between the David and Jiko, one still searching for words while the other keeps his arms tightly crossed over his chest.

((I know it's a bit of a stretch that any non-human lifeform would know Morse Code, but I couldn't think of anything better))

Unknown Star System 4.2 parsecs away from Nos Lycarin, Unknown moon:

After descending deep into the pit of shipwrecks, Krekktul and Torvahk spent several minutes searching for anything the security team could use. After weaving through tilted hulls of questionable integrity mixed with sand, their scavenging efforts would prove unsuccessful, as there was genuinely nothing of value or use to find. “Is it just me, or is it starting to seem a little weird that we're not finding anything?” Krekktul wondered, annoyed that he hadn't found so much as trash. “Keep looking, I'm sure we'll eventually find something.” Torvahk replied, insistent on keeping mobile. “That's just the thing, I've been looking everywhere, and everywhere one would normally look for supplies or loot looks like it's all been cleaned out,” Krekktul said before pointing out, “If you took more than a moment's glance around here, you'd notice that all the ships look like someone's taken anything that wasn't bolted to the ground....and come to think of it even that seems questionable.”

“You know what, for once you're right about something...” Torvahk answered, looking around his surroundings carefully and noticing a few important details, such as the fact that many of the interior and exterior wall panels of the ships were stripped off with blowtorches, rather than torn off by explosions or kinetic energy. He also noticed that many areas where components such as life support and weapons systems had only piles of disconnected wires that were torn apart and of no use to anyone.

“This is Torvahk Grevom, we're not finding anything in these crashed ships worth taking. It's almost as if someone beat us here a long time ago.” Torvahk reported over his comms. “If that doesn't sound ominous, then I don't know what does. You think people live here?” Tekk Drezgil asked before Grevom answered, “Hard to tell, but from what I can see all these ships were from different empires. We weren't the only ones to get shot down here.” “Now that you mention it, I think I'm starting to have a good reason behind why I want to get out of here ASAP.” Krekktul said anxiously, which prompted Torvahk to reply, “We'll look into one more crash, and if we don't find anything useful we'll turn around and head back to our ship.” “Famous last words...” Krekktul muttered as the two exited the wrecked freighter they were in and continued looking around.

“What in the name of death is that?” Torvahk wondered aloud after coming upon an unusual sight. Between him and the next ship was a stretch of dusty remains: Spacesuits of all sorts full of dead aliens that all appeared to have been killed in a series of intense battles. “Is anyone else feeling that we're screwed tight against a wall right now?” Krekktul wondered. “I don't know, but I'm not liking this. The sooner we get out of here, the better.” Torvahk said in agreement before the two began their return. During their retreat to their shipwreck, Corporal Dehneen reported what she thought was good news.

“Guys, I've managed to get the ship's comm systems working again. I tried sending a distress signal on an all-frequency hail, but it only reached 2 parsecs in radius.” She began before Krekktul asked, “Are you sure it's a good idea to be sending signals right now? What if those nekeem brehkts intercept it, we'd lead them right to our loca—-” Dehneen would quickly interrupt, “It gets better, I've managed to find and connect to a communications satellite that will greatly bolster our signal up to fourty parsecs in diameter so we're more likely to have someone investigate our wreck.” “Also a greater chance that whoever shot us down will figure out we're still alive and try to finish the job. Are you trying to get us all killed?” Krekktul replied before the third team member stationed at the crash site asked, “Yeah, and how can we be sure anyone's going to understand us? Languages aren't universal you know, we sure didn't understand what those raiders were saying.”

“The only reason we didn't understand them was because we didn't encounter them personally. Our helmets would have scanned the area in their brains associated with speech, picked up the common patterns in audio-visual association, and allowed us to speak with them at a rudimentary level.” Dehneen answered before adding, “And I'd rather risk getting killed if there's a chance we'll all be rescued than know we'll die from our life support running out.” A few moments later, Corporal Dehneen would then exclaim, “Everyone might want to cover their ears, this is going to get pretty damn loud!” True to her word, an eardrum-piercing transmission that repeatedly broadcasted the galactic coordinates of the security team's shipwreck, along with an audio file consisting of three short beeps, followed by three long beeps and three short beeps in 5 second intervals for a total of 30 seconds would sound through a variety of receivers beyond the desert moon's star system. It could have been detected by anyone inside a spaceship on or past Nos Lycarin and would have been sent as a recorded message that had to be played in order to hear. All they could hope for was that someone wouldn't just determine their SOS call to be junkmail and delete it.

“Well, let's just hope for the best...” Dehneen said, unsure of what else could be said before Torvahk added as he pulled out his FTX-45, “And get ready for the worst.” And sure enough, a hostile-looking transport ship decorated with sharp-looking metal sawteeth and blood-red graffiti from the nearby planet that the desert moon orbited would be on its way by the time the duo reached the team's crash site. “Everyone get your weapons ready, we're not making it out of here in one piece without a fight!” Torvahk warned as he and his teammates readied their weapons and regrouped near a cluster of rocks that they decided to use for cover in the inevitable fight that was to take place.

Two Cenne were in the main hall, one wore a lab coat, consisting of huge leaves in white, the other what looked like a coat or something also made from leaves, though colored mostly black and dark-red "Okay that was everything... are you sure you want to do this?" The Cenn in black nodded, her leaf-y ponytail bobbed up and down in the motion "Yes, I'm thankful for everything you did for me the last few years Professor, but I want out and do some fieldwork, I feel that I will need to do this in order to become better." She paused "And the good-bye party yesterday was great, it made me really happy."

The Professor also nodded. "Oh the same goes for us. And if you ever decide to come back, know that the doors to this institute will always be open for you." A few tears "Oh Mireille, over the years you've become like family for me, I wish you all luck in the universe." The two hugged "Thank you so much Professor."

As she turned around to leave the building her Professor called her out a last time "Wait! I forgot. Here, the other scientists and I chipped in on this, if I would have forgotten that I think they'd kill me." She said, chuckling "If you really want to explore other planets it will be dangerous, please take it." The professor held out a crystalline looking rifle which Mireille took "Thank you all again, tell them all a big 'thank you' from me." With a last wave and some more tears the living plant left the building.

Just as Mireille exited the building she saw around half a dozend other Cenne, all in the white leafed labcoats the one inside wore "Hold it right there!" One of them stepped before her grabbing her by the shoulder "Did you really think we would just let you go?"

Before Mireille could answer she found herself in a tight hug "Goodbye Mireille, I know we already had a party yesterday but we all decided to say good bye to you personally." A warm smile on her face Mireille answered "Aww come one, you know I will come back." "Yes, yes we know, but still, it still drives a tear in my eyes everytime a child goes. And even if it weren'T for that, we all greatly appreciate all your help over the past years."

After a few silent moments the Cenn disengaged the hug "We all wish you the best of luck, do us ol' egg-heads a favour and write us sometime." Mireille giggled "Of course, of course." The Cenne all said their personal farewells, after that Mireille finaly left the building completly, getting out in the streets. Now she only needed to find a ship that would leave the planet.

((Hooray, my blocks of text are becoming smaller!))

Unknown Star System 4.2 parsecs away from Nos Lycarin, Unknown moon:

It didn't take long for the approaching transport ship to begin taking potshots toward the group of survivors, throwing bullets in the general vicinity that hit no target. Torvahk retaliated by aiming his Devastator Fusion Cannon toward the direction of the transport ship and lead his target as he charged up the beam before firing a powerful burst of thermo-nuclear radiation that was for some reason tinted teal, but was nonetheless more than enough to cause the approaching transport to suddenly explode into a shrapnel pinata. Various blown up parts fell onto the ground, mixed with destroyed containers, firearms, and tattered spacesuits marked with all sorts of hostile-looking symbols complimented by shoulder spikes, knee spikes, and even spacesuit helmets full of spikes facing outward. The dead aliens that fell onto the ground were difficult to describe, as they had no real terran equivalent, and could best be summarized as tailless mammals.

“That just saved us some trouble.” Torvahk remarked, however nobody was able to relax for even a moment as three more hostile-looking transport ships would appear. “Weapons at the ready!” Corporal Dehneen ordered as she began trying to fire a semi-automatic rifle toward the attackers, which dealt negligible damage before Torvahk was able to take out two transport ships simultaneously with one fusion beam shot. Unfortunately the third transport remained airborne and got close enough to the ground to deploy a small party of 6 hostile aliens that started shooting at the security team with handguns.

“Cover me, I need to take out that transport before it gets away!” Torvahk requested as he remained behind a rock he was using for cover that had small chunks taken out of it from enemy fire. Without saying a word, Torvahk's teammates complied with the request as Tekk Drezgil hid behind the shipwreck until the group of raiders ran past it, revealing himself by swiftly firing a shotgun into the backside of a raider, killing it on the spot before striking a turning enemy in the faceplate with enough force to shatter it open, despite the ridiculous amount of spikes on it that didn't seem to offer any form of protection. The alien struggled to breathe and collapsed on its knees as it choked to death, drawing the attention of the remaining four attackers who didn't see that Dehneen, Krekktul, and the other guy who was still yet to be named firing rifles and handguns at them. In a few moments, the first wave of attackers would be defeated after Torvahk fired a third shot from his fusion cannon that took out another transport ship before it could get away and return with another payload of attackers.

“Everyone keep an eye on your ammo and medical supplies! Take any fallen weapon you can!” Dehneen said as she reloaded her scoped rifle. “Think this fight's not over?” The unnamed team member asked before the corporal replied in a way that finally revealed her teammate's name, “Far from it Vhertel. Everyone ready yourselves for another attack, I'll make our location more visible for potential rescuers.” “Are you sure that's a good idea? Last time I checked everything you've done so far has made things worse!” Krekktul inquired before the corporal simply replied, “Well the enemy already knows we're here, so does it matter?” Krekktul's silence answered the question as the group remained vigilant for another wave of attackers, whom would arrive in a matter of moments.

Kyerine giggled at Toraq and rushed over to the counter as well to watch him pay for it. "It looks neat!" He called to him, feigning the real and pretty obvious reason it was chosen. Kyerine just seemed really excited to be hanging around Toraq like this. It was faint but Tor would likely even feel his essence was slightly stronger by no conscious effect of Kyerine.

((Just one more post for the day)

Unknown Star System 4.2 parsecs away from Nos Lycarin, Unknown moon:

By the time the next wave of attackers had arrived, Dehneen had already drawn several arrows in the sand pointing toward the crashed spaceship in the event any rescuer arrived and somehow had difficulty spotting the crash site that had become a warzone. The only people to arrive were a group of 5 transport ships, three of which had been shot down by Torvahk's Devastator cannon that was now at roughly 60% charge. 12 hostile aliens had managed to jump out of their transport ships with minor fall damage, and remained unphased as they immediately started shooting at the security team. Some of the attackers didn't have any guns, and instead started charging at Torvahk's group with knives with no regards to self-preservation. The tactic was a means to force the defenders out of hiding and expose themselves to gunfire, which would have worked had the group not reacted faster than the gunmen expected. Most of the hostile aliens that were trying to rush the group were promptly shot in the face, although one of them ended up having one arm shot numb, causing them to drop a knife before the other arm was broken by brute force as Krekktul seized the other knife and stabbed the attacker in the gut repeatedly before planting the knife in the alien's throat and kicking it backward.

“Next time try a plan that's a little bit smarter!” Krekktul shouted at the four remaining attackers, who responded in kind by shooting toward him. Most of the shots missed, with the few bullet that hit only grazing his armor. The two groups would take turns exchanging weapons fire for several moments before the security team emerged victorious, with only minor scrapes to show. Unfortunately there was no time to celebrate as the gunmen had managed to stall for more time until reinforcements arrived.

“More enemies being dropped off!” Tekk warned the group, pointing toward six approaching armored transports planning to land a total of 50 raiders. “Already on it!” Torvahk replied as he tried to aim his FTX-45 at the approaching transport ships. Once his fusion cannon was ready to fire, Torvahk Grevom would take out three of the enemy transport ships, causing two of them to explode immediately and destroying the third one's left set of thrusters, sending it careening to the right and bumping into the ship next to it before both spacecraft crashed into a sand dune further away while the sixth ship was still intact and deployed more hostile aliens without fail before taking off.

“Now's not the time to get sloppy, stay focused people!” Corporal Dehneen ordered as the group faced off against a total of 8 attackers. Two of them stayed behind while the rest of the group charged toward Torvahk's team, with the ones covering the attackers appearing to be carry large metal panels on one hand that looked like they used to belong to spaceships before getting turned into riot shields full of spikes, and wielding smgs in the other hand. “Take out their support first, we'll deal with the ones carrying shields later!” Vhertel pointed out as the group killed the other four attackers first with several well-placed shots from rifles, shotguns, or handguns. By the time the group was ready to deal with the shield-carriers, they had already devised the seemingly-simple tactic of having one small group of people distract a shield-carrier while another group attacked them from behind. Unfortunately this proved much harder with the presence of the other shielded alien, forcing Torvahk to waste a shot on them, leaving a hole through their shield and their mid-section and killing them on the spot. The other shielded-alien would fare no better, taking several shots from behind and falling on their knees before getting beaten to death by their own spiked shield.

“A lot of good that shield did you!” Krekktul remarked after he finished beating the last alien in the third wave of raiders to death and callously tossing their makeshift shield aside. By now everyone's armored spacesuits were stained with dark blue alien blood, and had taken minor damage. The group's overall ammo supply for their original weapons was almost half-way depleted, and the worst part was the fight was far from over, and there were worse threats yet to come.

After some time, David finally speaks.

"All right, fine. The truth of the matter is that I was ordered to bring you in. And if I don't, someone else is going to," his eyes narrow at this, "And I think you know who I'm talking about. Knowing you, you've gotten into some shit already..." David pauses again, holding the bridge of his nose with his forefinger and thumb.

"I'd prefer if you came with me. It would be a lot easier for everyone." At this, Jiko takes pause. Sure, it would be easier for him, and for David. And Rylan...Matthew...it would be easier for him too - he wouldn't get the order to capture him instead. In fact, he would likely get called off the mission entirely. Win for him, sort of...then again, Jiko really doesn't know how PRISM works.

Then, his thoughts turn to Lex. She would be completely devastated, if she let him go at all. She wouldn't, he thinks. She would either force him to stay or go along with him, and the people at Alexander would just love to get the chance to speak with a Kirina...no. Better they didn't...so that really only leaves him with one choice.

"I...I can't David. I know what's at stake here but I can't. I won't."

"I was afraid you would say that...but I knew you would." As he says this, he reaches into his lab coat near the chest, where Jiko knows for a fact he keeps his Equalizer in his shoulder holster. He bristles, sparks flying from his hands and arms for a moment, before David pulls a small rectangular device.

"Hey what's tha-" Jiko begins defensively, but is cut off when David activates it. There is that click in the back of his mind before everything swirls around in his head, much like it did back when he was facing off with the spider...vampire...things with the others. Once more, he finds himself taking a back-seat position to his own body.

"I'm...I'm really sorry Tom. It has to be this way...and I really don't want it to be...but it has to," he says, passing by Jiko's seemingly vacant body toward the door back into the restaurant, "We'll step in, tell them that you've decided to come along and, be on our way as soon as possible..." he finished, obvious defeat in his voice despite his apparent victory in this moment. However, he will soon find it is not to be when he hear's Jiko speak. At least, it sounds like him...but off.

"Well well. Something you didn't calculate here, isn't there egghead?"

"W...what?" says David, turning, but it's too late, and Jiko goes flying at him, pink sparks trailing him as he delivers a harsh kick to the older man, knocking him back through the door and into the building. The device in his hand goes flying off into the gathered people, many of which suddenly stand and stare as Jiko's body flies in behind him, landing with a knee on David's chest and a hand bristling with energy raised high to deliver a very likely fatal blow. His eyes are angry and burn with the same pink energy.

Mitch keeps quiet when Rakiri gets back, but then looks up when Rorik calls them, and smiles a bit. "Oh, hey. Rorik, right? I've seen ya before. Name's Mitchell." He then turns to Blake. "Really? Thought ya'd have somethin'... I don't know, milder, I guess." He nods to Lex as well at her message.

"You may or may not recognize me. I'm Ranekhi, though I go by Val much of the time." Val introduces himself to Rorik as well. His eyes then meets Mitch's in understanding as David and Jiko's conversation goes south.

Once David is knocked back inside with Kijo following, the two quickly get up. "Hey, enough!" Val conjures a blue Hard Light fist from his real one and sends it flying towards Kijo. It shouldn't do any real damage, but has added kinetic energy to push him back quite a bit away from David. At the same time, he throws a pair of Hard Light shackles at David's wrists to try to keep him from escaping.

Nos Lycarin, Qeafnam Swimming Bath

Mireile was walking in the city, humming happily. Currently she was headed to a swimming bath with a thermal spring attached to it. In the past she always liked to go there, so she wanted to visit it one last time before leaving the planet.

As she arrived outside the building Mireille could immideatly notice a pleasant smell. The whole building looked kind of organic form-wise, like most Qeafnam buildings. With a light humming she entered.

Inside it also liked quite organic, eventhough the building was made from Durasteel like most buildings here. A Qeafnam was standing in the main lobby. They looked kind of human though on their lower bnack they had a muscular tail with fins on its end and their ears also looked more like fins than anything else. "Welcome in this house, how may I help you Miss?"

Mireille bowed her head slightly "I'd like to swim a bit." The Qeafnam bowed in response "But of course, the changing rooms are back there, also, I see you're a Cenn, for a little extra we could put your clothes into a separated bath." That was another thing she liked - this bath indeed had small separate pools for other things to be put into water... like her clothes, which for all intents and purposes were only plants she grew on her body before separating from them, meaning everything good for her was also good for them. Of course Mireille knew all this, she had been here many times, but the Qeafnam were a very polite race, so this behavior was only normal. "Yes, please do."

After a couple of minutes Mireille had changed into her swimming clothes and was currently floating in the thermal spring, for her as a plant this was like heaven. The hot water was just the right thing to relax her right now.

Nos Lycarin, Qeafnam Swimming Bath

After wha seemed like hours Mireille got out of the pool feeling nearly reborn, this was definetly the right start for her journey. Now she needed to finally find a ship that would leave the planet soon-ish, although she wasn't exactly in a hurry which made things considerably easier.

Currently she was walking around in the streets. Looking for hints of someone would could take her.
