I'm inclined to agree that panels 3+4 would make a better fit for the trope than the current.
I can go along with that.
(Annoyed grunt)I think 4+5 is better.
Check out my fanfiction! Not feeling it, personally.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I like 3+4.
Bump; any other thoughts?
I don't really see an issue with the current. The multipanel suggestions are just adding more text, which I feel is generally a negative.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I say we change it to panels 4+5. They illustrate the trope far better than panel 6 which is the current image.
While more text usually is bad, i feel that this is short enough that it's not a problem, plus like we've been saying, the other panels showcase the trope far better than panel 6 aka the current image. So, mark me in favor of the swap
I am the man who was slain by a ghoul, became a vampire, became a ghoul that killed my human self, became a soul in a sword. The current doesn't illustrate a single thing, it's just a quote.
Clock is set. I'm still voting for panels 3+4 of the source comic.
Giving 4+5 a weak
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I think that relies so much on the text that it's not better than the other suggestion.
Check out my fanfiction!4+5 seems to be a better choice.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI am not a fan of Girl Genius in general. As in this example, their panels are usually quite busy and wordy. Nothing to come away with by just glancing at it.
Not feeling 14.
Clock's up; locking for lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
The title of the trope is from this Girl Genius comic and the image on the page is the panel featuring the origin quote. However I think panels 3 and 4 of the comic, or 2, 3 and 4, or maybe 4 and 5 (or just 4 or just 5) actually do a better job of illustrating the trope in action. Thoughts?
