Yoshi's Island isn't particularly hard outside of the Brutal Bonus Levels (many of which only exist in the GBA port, which they aren't playing)... but the guys have also occasionally displayed Egoraptor-esque competence.
It could go either way.

Their Dragon Ball Fighterz streams have been enjoyable. Lani is pretty good, but Kaiser's comeback for the match around the 1:15:00 mark of the first Fighterz stream was hype.

They just annouced that they are starting a Dn D campain, which will be streamed on Tuesdays. Tuesdayham will be moved to Wednesday, and Bargain Barrel will be moved to Monday.

They aren't at Egoraptor levels or anything. They're still funny, at the very least. Like Jak and Daxter example, the other two at least called out Grant and Grant himself later admitted he was just salty. Plus he actually read messages. Those are things which seldom come from Game Grumps.

I just think he doesn't like criticism. Something I have found weird though involves the differences between TFS and Game Grumps when they double down on dumb when criticized. With TFS, I at least feel they're doing it more so for the joke and follow through (even if I don't always agree, Melvin) while Arin I feel does it out of stubbornness and spite.

Does Egoraptor still refuse to read manuals or listen to tutorials?
Sometimes, but Dan gives him flack for it. Now he mostly just forgets pretty important things they say, or gets grumpy about having to do them.

Arin's complaining at least can be funny. The finale of Battle Kid is largely just him bitching, and it's probably one of their best episodes.
I think Game Grumps is still a good LP channel despite the issues, because when it comes down to it Arin and Dan are hilarious.

I think the problem is that Arin just hates being told what to do, whether by the game or by the viewers. That's what leads to stuff like his infamous "I'm not playing wrong, it's my own unique experience!" rant in TTYD or how he made a point to keep using Beedrill for the entirety of Fire Red because comments kept bashing it. It only gets bad when he's either so bad he can't progress or when he blames the game for his own ignorance.
For anyone who missed tonights stream and wants to watch the Metal gear stream, I recommend watching it from twitch instead of the youtube video, so you can see chat, since some stuff happened with it this time.
