Opened. The quality of the current is really bad, for sure.
The 2001 image doesn't really look that much more clear to me. Weak Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
I don't think the current image properly illustrates the trope so I'm fine with pulling it. The proposal isn't a good example, though.
The rays on the current image do make it Keep Until Better Image Suggested for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman^ Better quality, but there's still the issue of not distinguishing itself from Faster-Than-Light Travel. Looking more closely at the current, there seems to be an additional lightshow besides the 'white star lines' to indicate the trope, so that might be what we need to illustrate this.
Here's◊ one version, which doesn't seem quite as much of a quality improvement as ^, but does depict the trope.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"The link's not working for me.

That's funny.
^^ Looks good.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"9 seems ideal.
(Annoyed grunt)9 works.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report9 is perfect. I'm calling it; it's up and tagged. However, we now have the pic and page quote from the same source.
We can take it to the Quotes thread for suggestions.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Sounds like a plan.
I see that the quote discussion has been moved to that thread, so I'm gonna go ahead and lock this one.
The current image simply shows the Trope Namer, is poor quality, and is incredibly similar to the Star Wars pic on Faster-Than-Light Travel which that scene is a spoof of.
"So fast that it's a Mind Screw" is admittedly a bit difficult to properly illustrate. 2001 came to mind, but I'm not sure if it's at all clear◊.
