Got it boss!

Bit late to mention, but Darian stays at home. Easier to hide Sangue reselling having nightmares when you don't have a roomie.

Actually, could Dari's gang be involved small-time with Sangue, or would that be intruding on plot stuff?

[up][up]Got it, though speaking of cash, just asking:

So with the credits we can just assume that 1c ~ 1$?

Second, since magic is real in this world, can we expect some price changes from RL -> RP? Like some high end stuff that takes time and manpower to manufacture RL could be manufactured by maybe 3 powerful espers in no time, hence it probably wouldn't cost nearly as much as one would expect.

[up][up] Actually that'd be great if she was involved selling Sangue Benedetto. If you could PM me a list of possible members of this gang, that'd be great.

[up] You're definitely right. Things would be a lot cheaper due to the cost of labor going down.

[up]Kay, noted.

Is the general worth of 1c still what you'd expect (minus the lower prices for such stuff), or are the wages accordingly lower?

Also if that is the case, is there some kind of movement against Mages/Espers because they more or less ruined the jobs for normal humans?

Additionally are there any other prejudices against Maguses/Espers or normal humans? Or did they manage to live together more or less peacefully.

[up]The worth of 1c would be something of a dollar back in the 1970s. so around 6$ for us currently? And I imagine it depends entirely on the job and field of work.

And there isn't really any movements against Mages/Espers since I imagine most jobs would have a 1;4 Powered/nonpowered humans. There may even be laws in effect that protect jobs of both people.

There is actually more prejudice between Espers and Magus than normal humans and Espers/Magus.

[up]Noted, thx, though now I'm curious, what prejudices are between them and are they deep, like are they something serious? Or is it only some light stuff like cliches and stuff? Because I think I'm one of the only Magus here, so yeah, anything I should know?

Edit: Okay I'm one out of 4 total it seems, so 'one of the only' may have been exaggerated, though the question persists :)

[up] There are two sides to the conflict. One is that the frequency of Espers had caused the implementation of the Gate Academies to begin with. If the year is 2023 in [ZERO], the first Gate Academies began popping up at least 90 years ago, back in the 1930s. Back then it was primarily Magi who ran the education scene. Magic was much more widespread, anyone could learn it, and there were even Magic Guilds that were in close proximity with one another where they shared theories and discussed their projects. They were an extremely tight nit group, at least for the few centuries they were together. It was really a Hogwarts Situation. Some of these Magic Guilds want to seem like they're persisting today, but they REALLY aren't. In the present, to get good magic education, you're really better off looking for some private school or some relative to tutor you. The Gate Academies courses on magic are really watered down versions of what they'd normally teach you in the past. Of course, this is necessary due to the fact the school teaches both Espers and Magus. The Esper curriculum isn't much better, really, since there's not a whole lot to teach.

But yeah, PREJUDICES! The whole watered down magic curriculum is one big reason a lot of Mage families don't like Espers because they blame their resurgence for the reason why the Gate Academy's even exist. Another reason is that their powers are immutable. It's not something taught, something you work hard at, so it's not as good as what Magus can do. Sort of the old hardwork vs. talent mentality a lot of people today even have. And this prejudice is also carried over to some Wilder Talent users, depending on what part of the world you live in.

Quick question; does the Muyomi club room have windows, and what floor is it on?

[up] Muyomi Club is on the first floor, tucked away in a far corner of one of the co-ed dorms. It has a few windows, but the curtains are usually closed.

Posted! And to note, I imagine none of the Disciplinary Committee heard the shot out in the parking lot since they're tucked back further into the school.

Is whatever Reina is going through a normal result of mana? Read: Will the Magus currently in play go through something similar?

[up] The only mage with the capability of going through this sort of mana poisoning is actually Mirielle. But it's over a long period of time of over exerting yourself. Think of it as drinking, and the moment you become a destructive alcoholic would be the tipping point. The way Mirielle is using her magic and being selective on how much mana she spends — even if she was in danger of getting devil sight early — it would take over a decade to even develop for her.

If Daltar was playing, I'd say her character would have the highest potential to suffer from major mana poisoning and then devil sight later in life due to how multidisciplinary she is.

[up]Glad to hear... I guess(?) (Yay, I'm the only one... yeaaah... well on the positive site it seems if the RP won't do a Time Skip that won't be important) What defines if a Magus would be in danger of getting Devil Sight? From your post I guess that being adept in more than one school of magic increases the likelihood, but what decreases (or even eliminates) the danger for the other Magus in play?

[up] Magus that primarily get Devil Sight (Whatever, I'll make it a proper noun for now) are the one's who keep funneling mana through their systems without letting it drain out naturally. Like say if Mirielle constantly kept golems up and going for hours and hours and hours on end, she'd start to develop it. Also the reason the other Magi aren't in danger of it, like Victoriana and Tomoyomi, is because they possesses Wilder Talents.

A Wilder Talent is something that you're born and occurs when you're learning magic at a young age. It allows for a clean tunnel for magic to get through and allows you to channel it much safer than the usual Magus. However, the draw back is that the tunnel is one-way. You become adept at one type of magic and one type only and have difficulty trying or doing anything else with it. Wilder Talent users still have to let the mana drain from their bodies as a normal Magus does, but their capacity for mana is much higher than that of a normal Magus. And to answer the question about being in more than one field of magic, let's refer back to the analogy of the single tunnel. When you have more than one discipline and bounce back for using mana for a lot of different things, you're going to pollute your body with way more mana than you would if you just focused on one thing.

It's not assured that you'll get mana poisoning because you practice magic, the illness itself is somewhat rare even among the magic community. People take precaution and protect themselves from it. Limiting the amount of mana you use per day, taking breaks when you feel tired or overexert yourself, etc.
