Long Live the Royals

For my brain-cell killing post of the day, the topic is about the quartet of episodes premiering next Monday. The subject matter revolves around an family of aristocrats and their hijinks. Personally, I think this will be an popularity test for an new series.

I wondered for a second if this was going to be an animated series about this years World Series winners. Which would have been odd.

So, yeah, the fact that this is also going for a mini-series vibe makes me wonder about the future about the other shorts CN had. I wonder if this will also be the fate of Lakewood Plaza Turbo. That would suck.

I'm excited

Eh. Seemed a little fast to me. It felt like it bounced from one weird concept to the next without taking the time to firmly establish the world or the characters.

The animation on the Yule Hare was cool, though.

Well, first short was kinda cute and keeps the same feel of the Pilot. Peterx Mudria FTW.

I'll be honest. I've seen three episodes so far, so hear me out: Why should I give a damn about the characters if all they do is cry?

So, The oldest child gains a "girlfriend".

The Sister has proven to take care of herself.

The mom snores

And now, Alex has a monster hare.

If that ambiguous end is actually believable, unless they give us a bit more world history, I might just forget watching this.

UUUUUUUUUUUGH-I hope this show gets green-lit for a full series run. This was not a mini-series, Over the Garden Wall was a minute series, THIS was a one hour pilot episode and I want MORE! MORE I SAY!

Your highness, if they do green light this show, wouldn't one of the current big shots be canned to make this possible?

Really, I expect them making a whole series out of this now after they pissed the viewers off with the worldbuilding and character traits, but that's just me.

Please don't make me think of a reality where TTG might get axed for a better show, we all know that ain't happening.

And I as well, especially with that "To be continued" business. COME ON SIX SEASONS AND A TV MOVIE!

And don't forget the replacement girlfriend for the main love interest which suddenly gets branded as The Scrappy when main LI returns.

I watched the pilot and the first episode and while I was sceptical at first I have to admit that I quite like it.

Though it seems to be one of those kind of shows. A show which has an Adult Swim-cartoon feel. I'm not sure how to describe it: take a show from adult swim, remove blood, swearing and sex and you get one.

That was what Adventure Time, Regular show, and the problem solverz were like in their first seasons.

HA- oh that trope is horribly misused.
