Hmm. So... I'm currently writing my first pure SI, based on the Mystic Realms CYOA, with one of the themes in it being raising the (highly magical) 16th century tech baseline population to (near) singularity levels by absorbing/assilimating tech in other universes (via crossover). (Blended magitech based)

What I am curious/asking for help for is which settings/universes would help in that transition. This is also somewhat problematic because I don't know that many fandoms in any detail. :p

So far, the only ones that have come to mind are (not that there are likely more, these are just the first and that I somewhat know of):

Arcanum: of Steamworks (etc): 16th century to steam/gunpowder levels, magitech (18th century?).

Shadowrun: 21st century.

Worm/Earth Bet: 21st century +/-, especially with tinker-tech.

The Matrix (movies): ? Mass Effect: ?

(Also looking for large number of immigrants, magic/magitech technology, etc. My focus is more on active/IN world worldbuilding.)

Anything appreciated! :)

EDIT: related links: WOULD be posted except new account blah blah. Just google "Magical Realm CYOA" if anyone is interested. There is a 1d4 chan website detailing it as well as an auto-calculated version online on googledrive.
