Call of Alpha Complex: A Sec - OND Mission

The porter turns to face Silence. "Ticket, please." The porter says, holding out his hand.

Silence fishes out his ticket and hands it to the Porter.

The porter frowns at the ticket Silence is holding out. "You trying to bake a yoke?" he demands. "That's a ticket for ICK to HRG. This is the train from HRG to OND."

Silence looks at him "Well I am amazed I had a ticket at all considering what's going on. Could I buy one?"

"Yes you can." admits the porter. "One ticket, with the on-train convenience fee, will be 25 expenditure points."

"Yeah I'll buy a ticket," Silence opts to pay the 25 exp.

The porter hands Silence back his XP stick, now with only 20 expenditure points left on it. "Does anyone else want to buy a ticket?"

Lanius says nothing, trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible

Rolling for Stealth.

The porter looks around and 5 4 3 6 1 3 fails to spot Lanius.

((Ok, that's Integ, Fenix, Silence, and Lanius. Anyone who doesn't post soon is assumed to still be at HRG sector.))

The monorail train slows to a stop. "Right! Sector Ond!" announces the Porter. "Everyone off! Bind your buggage!"

Integ, Fenix, Silence, and Lanius step off. The station has been scrubbed clean, with a large poster reading "HAPPINESS IS MANDATOY - A REMINDER FROM FRIEND COMPUTER AND AMANDA-B-BAD-04" on the wall facing the train.

There is a woman wearing a red jumpsuit and, over that, what appears to be a pink plastic coat. On the coat is a black smiley face logo and the words 'Happiness Patrol'. The woman marches over. She's carrying a bizarre looking rifle, featuring several odd pieces of metal foil and plastic rods sticking out of the rifle. "Hello, I'm Mary_Go-R-OND-2. Are you the troubleshooters from ICK Sector?" she demands.

"That we are," Silence responds.

Mary Go clears her throat, then launches into an obviously prepared speech. "Amanda-B-BAD is a fine leader. Despite the conditions here in Ond of repeat misery and treasonous levels of unhappiness, she has been a shining beacon of mirth. While some of her actions, including creating the Happiness Patrol, are unconventional, I am sure that after your brief and routine inspection of sector OND that you and Friend Computer will be pleased with her efforts. How may I assist you in fulfilling your orders from Friend Computer?"

Fenix whispers aside to Silence.

"Uh, you take the lead. I'm no good at this sort of thing. I'm a Science Officer, not an inspector."

Lanius, who had previously been getting his bearings, said "How about you give us a tour of the sector? If we know our way around, we can find what we're looking for all the faster."

Mary_Go-R-OND-2 leads the way out of the station to a long corridor, painted in industrial gray and suitable for all clearance levels. The corridor is not straight, instead curving. "Sector OND is a cylinder shaped habitat, fifty meters in diameter and consisting of twenty levels. The lower levels are devoted to industrial purposes, food production, and living quarters for infrared clearance citizens. The highest level are VIP quarters, and are obviously off limits. We're currently on level H. The Happiness Patrol maintains a fleet of electric vehicles on level G. If you want and our glorious leader Amanda-B approves, I can requisition one of the transport vehicles and drive you around."

Looking around, you can see people hurrying both directions through the corridor, most in black jumpsuits but some in red and even a few orange and yellow jumpsuits. Everyone quickly smiles (or at least attempts to fake the expression) at seeing Mary-Go.

You also see an Info-Terminal and a Confessional Booth.
