Opening. The first has a better quality and is somewhat less ambiguous than the second.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe first definitely gets my vote.
(Annoyed grunt)Voting for the first one till a better one is suggested.
1.1 .
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?^^ Likewise. 1.1 works just fine, but I have the feeling there should be better ones out there.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"That is pretty good though.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Solid.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'm at a tossup between 7 and 1.1. Both look solid.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI think the spiral and stage hypnotist costume make one of them obviously way better, no contest again.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I actually lean toward 1.1, if for no other reason than to have something aside from a Simpsons pic. That said, if that's what gets consensus than we go with it.
Switching my vote to 7.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"1.1 is a bit more clear that hypnosis is going on.
Another possible suggestion from Phineas and Ferb [1]◊
I want 1.1 because Pokemon pics lead to fun captions.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?crowner?
Crowner: [1]
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Hooked.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm leaning towards 1.1 if only because I think it's a clear illustration of the trope, but is still a somewhat uncommon version of it. It shows how broad the trope can be.
Reaction Image RepositoryBump for votes; two in the green, one in consensus range.
Calling this one. The new pic's up and tagged; caption?
"Somehow has a 45% chance to miss."
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? That would be Sing, which has a 55% chance of hitting as opposed to Hypnosis's 60%. Otherwise it could work...
