Then there's all her phone stealing
Not like Marinette and Adrien don't lie about their lives.
Where there's life, there's hope. There's a difference between lying and stealing because of your secret, world-saving identity and lying to everybody about everything to try to get them interested in you. And, while Marinette's phone theft thing is a weird point of Moral Dissonance that she really should be called on, she always at least gives them back instead of throwing them out.
I found it more funny than anything.
People lie about themselves to impress others all the time. Doesn't mean they deserve to be publicly humiliated rather than pulled aside and talked to in private. Marinette was definitely in the wrong for abusing her powers as Ladybug to call Lila out.

But it's obviously just because she wants him all to herself.
"We be we baby!"Yeah, that's why Ladybug apologized and tried to make amends after saving her. They both did wrong, but Lila's the one who's refusing to admit it and blaming others.
Who's "she?"
Where there's life, there's hope. What Iniuria Talis said about her. This is what makes Lila such a good foil to Marinette - because one is awkward clumsy girl who complicates her life with lies for good cause, while the other is skilled and confident master of deception for her own sake.
Still, lying to people to get attention is type of action that could be done by likeable cartoon protagonist. In fact, I'm pretty sure plenty animated movies use that trope - ergo Liar Revealed. The difference between Lila and these heroes is that she never even acknowledged that she did anything wrong and she should stop. Instead she only went in deeper and deeper to point of chronic lying. I mean, telling guy you're a super hero?
I just watched "Simon Says". It's amazing, the quality went so high up I forgot this was the same show for a few moments. There's some legit drama in here, and dare I say even subtlety at the end.
It's allowed to be restrained in places, and it's all the better for it. The brief bit with Marinette and Adrien was great, and they actually made a shower joke, something I thought was just a bit too mature for them to do.
Also the scene where Gabriel shakes Cat's hand and notices the ring was legitimately powerful.
After seeing this, I'm confident Ladybug can be dramatic when it wants to be.
Oh, dear. I guess this is a thing that's happening.
...Is that real?
It looks like it is—it's on Jeremy Zag's Instagram, after all.
...Gotta say, I have absolutely no optimism for this whatsoever.
..... look at that link, and then remember how this comes from the same creators of Martin Mystery and Totally Spies. It's almost uncanny!
That seems a bit... soon. They're certainly throwing a lot of attention behind this series.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. This is so far off that I have no worries about it for the time being. There's season 2, and possibly 3 to happen before any of this. If anything it's nice to know the show was a success after all and wasn't canned.
I like to believe that was just concept art for the possibility of a movie poster, and the real deal will be a big budget animation picture rivaling the next Disney movie to come out during the Summer.
Besides, If it didn't work well for The Ghost In The Shell movie having Angelina Jolie, it's not going to work with another young actress playing as Marinette. Just my opinion.
Off-topic, But I found the Ladybug and Chat Noir action figures at Walmart two days ago, and I can't tell you how much I love the designs!<3 Will this be a great way to break the division of what counts as a boy toy or a girl toy?
If I can find pictures of them.

"We be we baby!"That's really cool!!
Would you be able/willing to post pictures?
A lot of people boycotted the Ghost in the Shell movie because Angelina Jolie was in it. If they get an actual Chinese / Mixed Chinese girl to play Marinette I can see it working.
I mean, yeah, maybe too early but this show is highly successful and has a HUGE Internet following and if the second season does well, they could jump right into a Live-Action continuation or something.
Both.

Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.@32ndfreeze◊ Seriously, I l love how they didn't make them all Barbie dolls or anything too girly. Basically just simple Batman like figures.

"We be we baby!"It's not too early. The series has had a fanbase since 2012 which was a good three years before the show itself even started airing. By the time the movie comes out the fanbase will have been around for five to six years and will probably have grown by then as new people discover the show and join the fanbase.
That said, the movie was announced a few months back so really the only thing that's news is the poster and the release year.
I mean, what do we REALLY KNOW about this movie right now?? Barely anything. It could be just a TV movie. Maybe it's only being made for French broadcasters. It's too soon to jump the gun.
To this day I'm still sticking with my preference for the cg series we got, even if there's a lot of fans for the anime version. I'm just unconvinced it would've been necessarily better, especially with proto-Adrien seeming like a massive dick.
I mean sure his puns are often So Bad, It's Good, but it's endearing.
To be fair, its not hurtful in the same way stuff Chloe does is, but still, she's not exactly blameless.
Ironically, Ladybug couldn't exactly call her out on book stealing.
