Grocery store

"...I don't like things that taste like these as much as I liked what was in the corn mush that Miss Tairee made for me," Cole said after a moment. "The chocolate was good, but I liked the things she made. They tasted...different. Not like this. More..."

Cole stood a moment, confused, trying to sort out what he was trying to say, waving a hand slightly. "I don't know how to say taste. It was...not this, the kind of heavy. It was...lighter and sharper..."

He looked at Arcade, just looking a little bewildered. "How do you know how to say things that taste?"

Streets

Morty stared down at the sight of curried carnage uneasily. "Should we-" he started to say as Lewis made for Rex with every intent, apparently, of beating the crap out of him, and promptly received a kick in the...... well, the.... you know. Morty winced in sympathy, instinctively clenching his own lower pelvis. He then remembered that - in the need to create a combat-optimized organism devoid of vulnerable points, and genetic patents being what they were - he didn't actually possess the necessary equipment and settled for just wincing.

"No time!" Rick emerged triumphantly from a tangle of concerned onlookers, brandishing a small, blue root, a cocktail mixer, and a handful of other assorted fruits and vegetables. "Alright, Morty, y-you heard Rex, time to be a hero!" With that, Rick managed to push - or at the very least coerce - Morty out of the restaurant, heading towards the first thing that looked like a radio tower.

"Which way do we go?" asked Morty in confusion as he settled into a confident lope, his legs finding a new rhythm of their on.

"Just keep going straight!" shouted Rick as he jogged alongside him, hastily mixing ingredients with one hand like some sort of fitness-conscious alchemist. "We'll hit it eventually, mark my words! It's very convenient!"

The planet Xongflam II is not, as planets go, particularly unique. A series of tangled slot canyons crisscross most habitable areas, and in those canyons the native Xongflamians eke out a primitive existence in a society that stalled somewhere around "children of angry sky gods make meat crispy" some thirty thousand years ago. If the civilized worlds of the Milky Way galaxy could be thought of as a vast and unruly school, then Xongflam II was that kid who ate paste and put Hot Wheels up his nose.

The reason why Xongflam II was actually known as a planet, and not just a dot on some star chart somewhere, was due to a handful of particular plants that, through some quirk of evolution and sustained bloodymindedness, had managed to survive thirty thousand years of hungry Xongflamians searching for garnishments to go with their sky-child-cooked crispy meats. note  Chief among these particular plants was the root of the aak-potimiak shrub.

If you were a Xongflamian, aak-potimiak was something of a local delicacy; properly chopped, boiled, and served atop crispymeats note  it was a pleasing gastronomic experience.

The fact that consuming too much aak-potimiak caused bloating, loose bowels, and prolonged periods of heightened, homicidal aggression towards any living creatures in sight was seen by xenoanthropologists as one of the major reasons why civilization on Xongflam II hadn't really gotten off to a running start. The problem was compounded by the fact that some superstitious cultures believed that aak-potimiak was a powerful aphrodisiac and should be taken regularly to appease a bountiful harvest and an abundance of crispymeats.

At any rate, where there's a planet with a exploitable resource, one Rick or another will be along to find it, and Ricks spread gossip faster than any other creature in the multiverse....

And, by sheer, unfortunate coincidence, a Xongflamian had briefly taken up residence in the city before departing early this morning.

"Drink this." As a rule, radio stations were not particularly ominous buildings, but somehow Morty was having second thoughts about this entire plan, and the fact that his grandfather kept pestering him to drink... something was not helping matters.

"Oh jeez." Morty swallowed and looked up at the radio tower. "Y... y'know, Rick, this is- maybe I was too hasty with this plan. I mean - aren't we supposed to - like - negotiate with hostage takers and stuff? So's they don't... kill their hostages?"

Rick shrugged. "Death is cheap, and this city just handed us a platinum credit card. Look, if - if you're having doubts about this - well - look, this'll calm your nerves." He sloshed his creation around invitingly. "It's a real - it's a real ancient warrior kinda tradition, Morty, something to get ready for the fight ahead."

Morty shifted his weight. "Well..." It's not like Rick was exactly a model citizen. Still, his nerves were currently playing a jangling song on a frayed piano, and whether or not he was in a body capable of backhanding a professional wrestler he still felt underequipped. He rolled his eyes. "Fine. Give it here." With one hand, he downed the drink in one gulp, feeling his genetically altered digestive system kicking into gear.

He felt... he felt...

... well, for one thing, he felt a delicious, tangy interplay of tropical flavors play out on his tongue. Oddly enough, Rick was good at making smoothies, who knew?

... and just below that - buoyed on by recent events at the buffet - he felt the, uncontrollable, inexplicable urge to kick someone extremely hard in a place that he no longer possessed. Rick was grinning in a way that could only be described as shit-eating as he watched his grandson bounce from one foot to the next.

"Alright, Morty, y-y-you're good, you're fine... and that guy in there, uh, insulted you!"

"He WHAT?!?" roared Morty. "I'll SHOW him! I'll... 'INSULT HIS... DAMN.... DOOR!"

The ground thundering beneath Morty's inarticulate rage, Morty backed up, pawed the ground like an angry bull, and then slammed directly into the doorway and the bit of wall surrounding it. Bits of masonry flaked down like Martian dust. Morty bellowed and did it again. And again. The wall began to crack, and the Mega Morty clenched his knuckles and changed tack, crumpling the door underneath his assault, systematically ripping chunks of masonry out of the way. The effect was as if Hieronymus Bosch had designed the Kool-Aid Man, but against all odds, it worked, widening the doorway enough to let everyone in at once without bothering about that pesky "single file."

Grocery Store

Cole wasn't going to be getting any help from Arcade. He simply stood there, obviously trying to sort through Cole's thoughts without the vocabulary or knowledge to follow.

Eventually, he simply shrugged. "Everything I've ever eaten is nothing like what's here," he said, "the food in the Wasteland is all so bland compared to this. I don't think I'd be able to name any taste at this point. Though... I think this is supposed to be sweet?" Cakes were sweet, right? That was his best understanding of Pre-War food.

I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Grocery store, blind leading blind

Cole considered for a long moment as well, just staring up at the wall of snacks they were next to, trying to think it through. "I guess we could ask Miss Tairee...but we could just stay here and keep trying things."

He considered for a long moment before looking around a bit. "...come to think of it, we...could just...stay here. I don't think anyone does, mostly people just come and get food and then leave. We could find somewhere to sleep and just...stay?"

Gon, reacting too little too late:

Gon, seeing the frenzy in front of him with Lewis being kicked and Rick and Morty running out, felt that nothing changed in the city aside from seeing a lot of unusual stuff that he was better off not telling anyone once he was able to get home and start his quest. He decided to go join up and see what the ruckus is happening, aside from what everyone inside the buffet had heard.

He was a bit behind Rick/Morty, listening in on what would they do. He would have opted to give input, except that he's an assassin and his job is to kill people, not save them.

Well... except with Mogyeong. But that's a different bit.

Gon wanted to scold Rick for trying to get a rise out of Morty when he rammed the radio station.

"I'm guessing you have an idea on what to do next since he rammed into the place?" Gon asked when he got his M4A1 ready.

Grocery Store

Arcade blinked, and blinked, and blinked again. "Live here?" he asked, "just... hole up and stay until this is all over?" He seemed more surprised than unwilling, and why not? Plenty of people in the Wasteland lived in places like grocery stores.

Granted, they were raiders, but that wasn't really the point.

"Are you sure people don't come here often?" he added, "I'd hate to put you in more danger just because it might be convenient." Cole's safety was still his priority, after all.

I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Prison, wakey wakey, eggs and... Lockpicks?

Swirling darkness and vague dreams of voices started to clear up, and soon Riddler could hear the voice of a woman getting clearer in his consciousness as he was waking.

"Alright, he's coming to" the woman noted; her voice sounded professionally neutral, along with a dose of dull boredom.

"Mister Riddler? Come on, don't bother pretending to be asleep again" Nails' Marilyn Monroe voice said.

Riddler was in a different cell now, in a hall that the militia had emptied out of other prisoners, transferring them to other cells. His arms and legs were strapped to the cot, and he'd been stripped of his items and even clothing, now wearing an orange jumpsuit. There was a small scar on his stomach now, and to add insult to injury, they had wrapped his head with medical bandages, just in case.

In the cell was an elf woman in a doctor's coat, staring down at Riddler with a bored expression while holding a medical scanner device, and Nails, who was leaning against the opposite wall holding a pretty familiar lockpick with a set of tweezers. "Just like I said Riddler, you're very predictable. First a vial of acid, now a lockpick; plus we kinda saw you do it anyway" Nails commented, the smug tone not quite fitting with Monroe's voice, and her face made the smug grin seem more playful and coy.

Also, outside the cell were a couple more militia members, just in case.

City Knights' channel, quick news

"Ben, good news. It seems like the militia has the stuff at the prison handled. But Ghostfreak is at the news station now; Louie and I are going to try to find it now" Thomas' new voice informed Ben.

Grocery store, spectator sport

Some groups were gathering around the spots where a radio was relaying Zs'Skayr's message, with most people looking concerned. There was some loud noises, and then the transmission cut out abruptly.

"Ah come on! It was just getting good!" yelled a man who sounded an awful lot like Gordon Ramsey; he was dressed like a chef too, but was not a human. Rather he was a humanoid ape like species, seemingly straight out of Planet of the Apes.

Buffet, serious case of the onlookers

The table being knocked over and the quick spat between Rex and Lewis got a lot of attention from the people around them, and just about everyone backed off, some quickly, some cautiously, in varying degrees of worry that the fighting might spill out.

"People will even fight each other in this place? On a day like this?" the orc woman in the dull red overcoat said in a shocked, somewhat incredulous tone. "I thought this city was dangerous enough without the inhabitants at each other's throats" she thought out loud, and moved to leave out one of the other exits.

Radio station, how fast can everything go sideways?

Electricity slammed into Kelsey's torso, but the intensity had seemed to lessen abruptly closer to her, and she twitched violently for a moment rather than die. Then, she let out another scream, more angry than pained, and everything kind of broke.

Every electronic of the radio building itself shorted out, with the bulbs of the lights above even bursting, leaving just the crackling energy of Zs'Skayr himself and the light pouring in from the entrance as the only light around. Zs'Skayr's own energy was seemingly malfunctioning, and everyone else showing up was having their own electronics going haywire. This was especially problematic for Caboose, who was basically rendered immobile; the battlecruisers in the room suffered a similar fate, falling to the floor with unceremonious clunks, though they had not been made silent.

"It's a trap!" one commented.

"Abandon ship!" a second noted.

"What's with all these blinky lights?" a third one asked.

In the meantime, Kelsey looked at Zs'Skayer with a murderous intent, then charged, chainaxe revving in a very complimentary way to her anger as she made a leaping shoulder tackle straight at Adam; once she'd slammed into him, she swung the chainaxe around to go behind his body at Zs'Skayr, so now there was no risk of it hitting Adam on accident.

Alisa!Rean || Library|| Man I hate posting at 4 am

A nearby radio changed from music to a radio broadcast. By the sound of things, the two hosts were in trouble, and Two wanted to head over there to help them. Rean nodded. "Let’s go!" He shouted, following after Two.

The group eventually made it to the radio tower, where there were tiny airships circling it. Or well, they looked like Airships to Rean, since his world didn't have space travel just yet. The door looked like something forced its way into the studio, and inside was some sort of misshapen man with some device sticking out of his back. Also there were a brown haired girl with a chainaxe, Makoto, and two people he assumed were the regular staff of the station.

Rean took Alisa’s bow out of his bag, and then fiddled with the Orbment attached to the front until it generated an arrow of Orbal Energy. He’d figure out how to make fire arrows or any of the other crafts Alisa performed with the bow later. He then followed Two, Caboose and Hercules into the room, where Two was trying to bravely confront the man, despite her hands shaking.

The misshapen man was in fact Ghostfreak, under the influence of the day theme. He threatened to repeatedly kill everyone in the City until Ben submitted to him. And then as if to prove his point, Ghostfreak fired off an attack, aimed straight at the girl with the chainsaw. "No!" Rean shouted, internally cursing himself for not reacting fast enough.

But miraculously, the attack did nothing to the girl but make her angry. Almost in response to her rage, every device in the room seemed to shut off or break- the lights, the small ships and the radio console. However, Alisa’s bow still kept its charge, thanks to it not being powered by electricity. Rean raised Alisa’s bow again and fired off an arrow at Ghostfreak. Thanks to his inexperience with the bow, though, Rean’s aim was off and veered towards Ghostfreak’s left. The fact that Morty had just loudly busted the door down didn’t help either. Still made a good warning shot though.

Centwo, Radiostation, Monster Hunting Duty

As it turned out, the large man's real identity was Ghostfreak, and he was not planning anything else but wanton death and destruction. Had Two been in a better mental state that day, or simply wasn't as hotheaded about helping others, she would notice that ultimately his threat - while terrible - was empty; the miracles of the City disallowed permanent death. Painful as it would be, someone killed by Ghostfreak would reappear a moment later no worse for wear and, presumably, far away from him.

Of course, all this was done to spite a 10-year-old boy, so Two didn't dwell on it too much, feeling her anger surface again. "You heartless monster..." She almost spat these words out, trying to grip the short swords more steadily. Caboose's usual shenanigans and Hercules' confusion slash bravado were lost on her. "I'll have your head for this!" She charged in despite herself, despite knowing that her current abilities were not her own and thus she would be unused to them.

The sudden violent spasm of electricity gathered in had her pause for a moment, but she didn't think much on it. If anything, she wouldn't find a better opening now that Ghostfreak's powers malfunctioned on him! The girl with the whirring axe freed the hostage and was now gunning for the monster herself. Screaming, Centwo came in with a thrust, aiming both of her short swords under the Ghostvic's ribs.

Of course, without her usual super strength, it would be that much more difficult to damage her enemy and then escape unscathed - something which was lost on her due to her anger.

Radio Station- It's Getting Crowded In Here...

It turned out that the last message sent out on the radio had attracted more than a few people willing to help fix the situation, though she didn't expect to see Two, Rean, and Caboose here, along with that... Centaur guy? Were they even capable of fighting well the way they were today? Two's grip on her sword wasn't giving her any confidence. The monster, still with his hostage, spoke into the mic to deliver his ultimatum to the whole City. Makoto froze when she heard his name, but as he continued to speak, any sense of fear was slowly being replaced with seething rage.

Ghostfreak had already hurt and terrified enough people as it was, and now he threatened to kill even more, just to get his sick revenge on a child that he probably couldn't beat in a fair fight. What a disgusting coward. Her grip on the shotgun tightened as she glared at Ghostfreak. This was going to end right now... A large blast of purple lightning struck the charging girl, but instead of frying her instantly, she somehow took it and screamed again, as if it had only served to charge up her anger.

Everything went haywire in the building, the overhead lights breaking, the radio cutting out, and even the miniature ships crashing to the floor. Ryuji's cellphone was switching between his ringtone and simply vibrating, and then it sparked in her pocket and went quiet. The room was draped in shadows now, barely any light sources left in working condition.

"Holy shit..." she breathed, her eyes adjusting as she lowered her arms. She'd been trying to protect her head from the shattering glass bulbs. Even the weird pylons on Ghostfreak's back didn't seem to be functioning right. Was that an EMP?Something large tore through the open doorway, somehow making the entrance way even bigger, but she wasn't paying much attention to who exactly had joined the chaos inside.

The girl with the chainsaw tackled the hostage out of her way and tried to cut into Ghostfreak, somehow still having the energy to move even after her impressive explosion. Rean fired off a glowing arrow attack, but it went wide of its target. Two charged in with a pair of swords, and Makoto could tell that bringing metal weapons to a fight involving electricity would not end great for either of the girls. And if they were that close, she couldn't attack with her Persona without risking their lives.

"Wait, you need to stay back!" Makoto yelled. Ugh, it was probably too late to stop them... With a growl, she tore her mask off. Captain Kidd [1] momentarily filled the room with a blue glow as it was summoned in a burst of light, coming dangerously close to hitting the building's ceiling with its size. The skeletal ship captain leered at Ghostfreak, but then floated over to where Jeff had retreated, positioning itself in front of him protectively. Its cannon hand sparked with lightning, but it fired nothing yet. Makoto pointed her gun back at the fight and hoped that an opening appeared to join in.

Lewis - Buffet - yes just leave the openly depressed traumatized dude alone, nothing wrong there

...Too nauseous to properly respond, I very weakly raised a middle finger in what was supposed to be Rex's general direction. He was probably gone by that point, I honestly wasn't looking, but I didn't care enough to check that he could actually see it.

Beyond that, I didn't move. Even after the long and horrific time it took for the pain to subside, I remained on the floor, ruminating on the endless downward spiral that was this morning. This past week and a half. The past I don't know at this point. Nothing wanted to pan out, like my own existence had become a joke at my expense. (Sure, I brought some of it on myself, but.) What kind of garbage angst fic was this? Any reputable fanfic site would have taken this poorly-written schlock down 4 chapters in.

...Well, there was last night...but I couldn't do that again for another four days, not that I was even sure I wouldn't need to spend it elsewhere. And then after that it was a mystery when I'd see them again. If, offered some small voice. I told it to kindly shut the hell up. It wasn't like it'd be hard: explain to Vivi, avenge myself, go home. There was no way this could fall on its face a...second...time...now with omniscient encyclopedias and magic essence flowers in the mix or something like that.

Surely that was all it took to not be doomed to waste away in the wilds, lost, alone, without a trace, right?

I'd started unconsciously clenching one fist when a certain electric hamster toddled in front of me, looking troubled, and I stared at it, before suddenly realizing wait, why was I still on the floor? I picked the little guy up, and then stood. There were a lot fewer people in the immediate area than there'd been, three guesses as to why. Trying to get seconds would probably just end in reality conspiring to ruin that idea, so I didn't bother, simply dusted myself off and quietly left to wallow somewhere more private.

There was still one person, well, by some viewpoints one thing, still bothering to be around Lewis, besides the pokemon. The little ghost unit had trailed after him, staring up at him. "Solo operative, right?" the ghost asked, the question coming off more like an anticipation due to the way the statements seemed prerecorded.

Eve | Streets | Hugs From Someone In A Metal Suit Generally Aren't Comfortable

Eve was silent, simply breathing in and out, though she was somewhat... stiff. Ben, in his current body, was cold. She gave a shaky nod, and a fairly weak smile, that looked like it was forced, probably because it was. Then Thomas' voice echoed over the radio, and her eyes widened. She was silent for a bit, before speaking into the radio. "I d-don't think that's a good idea, Thomas." Breathe. In and out. And think. "From w-what I could tell, you don't have your magic, and t-that makes you an easy target. As she spoke, her voice became stronger, more confident. "Zs'Skayr will be looking for hostages, and, though Louie has his pokemon, you'd be an easy target. No offense."

"Well...people come here pretty regularly..." Cole said, contemplating a moment. "I think they come to get food in the morning and then leave, though, so...it shouldn't be too bad. I don't think."

Cole looked around again, noticing people seemed to be listening to the radio, and then being annoyed when it stopped working. "...though, maybe it's not the best idea. I don't think there are any beds in here, and I think you would like a bed."

He considered again, before looking back at Arcade. "...there are houses, though...we...did use one of them before..."

Radio Station- It was dark and I had to hold my breath

Caboose was having a hard time following what was going on. People were saying words and then a wall broke and it all was moving too fast for his brain to follow. The last thing he saw before things got weird was this really passionate girl trying to give some loud friendship to the big guy.

After she did something... well, not only could Caboose not move but a few other things went wrong. First of all was the voice filter failing. The cloak got out alright, possibly because it wasn't in use. Also what went wrong was that his visor went black, meaning he lost the ability to see. "Oh no, not again," the soldier said in a tone that was only mildly perplexed, though now it sounded exactly like Texas. His brain, being an AI currently, was also damaged by the pulse. Mental damage wouldn't really manifest too noticeably on Caboose, though. He was now just standing there menacingly.

Arcade was mostly glad to hear the radio stop working. Maybe then, Cole would be content to not run off. He would probably find another reason later, but at least there was one less.

Instead, they were able to continue working out where they were going to live. The lack of beds was probably going to be a problem. Once he was actually able to be comfortable, it was hard to just give that up.

Of course, that comfort came with things that he couldn't exactly discuss with a toddler. Trying desperately not to give anything away, he said, "ah, right, those. They're pretty comfortable." Luckily for him, the mutton chops covered the blush forming on his cheeks.

And just when things couldn’t get any worse here in the radio tower, Ghostfreak then attacked a teenaged girl with electricity which was sent to her torso knocking her to the ground and then she screamed in anger causing the lights in the building to go out. With the light from the entrance and Ghostfreak’s electricity illumining the rooms as the only source of light. He then saw Two running towards Ghostfreak and cried out: “Two, no!” but it was already too late as she had already started attacking him even a person that Herc had seen earlier with Rex was telling her to back off but to no avail.

Then before Herc knew it, a muscular boy then burst through the walls of the radio station, basically things were getting hectic he was about to go and attack Ghostfreak when he saw that Caboose was having trouble moving and then moved over to where he was very quickly. “Caboose are you alright?” He asked his armored friend checking to see if he wasn’t hurt too badly.

Radio Tower — "Guess who's back, you one-eyed bitch?"

"Uh... ok, maybe this is taking it a bit too far" Rex said looking at Rick a little concerned.

It was hard to deny getting Morty angry was giving results but his attitude seemed a little more aggressive than it needed to be. Then again, he probably was enjoying the hell out of having actual powers so there was no point in shooting him down at the moment. He was going to sleep like a baby tonight.

On top of that, there were a lot of people and even a few robots courtesy of Miss Tairee, already going after Ghostfreak's ass so it's not like Morty being a newbie would mean much in the long run. Hell, the current Frankenstein monster-looking guy—because of course he wasn't just a squishy person today—seemed to have issues with his new abilities. For once the day not coming with an instruction manual was helping rather than making things more difficult.

In the middle of such a commotion Rex still felt the need to stand out. Not because he wanted attention or anything—at least not just because of that—but because he figured if he wasn't going to be a tank in this assault he could at the very least be a very big distraction. And considering Ghostfreak had already threatened his girlfriend it was clear he was up there in his hit-list. Perfect.

"Hey, idiot! Remember me?" He yelled out. "Not so tough when you can't just fly away, aren't you?"

Ben's eyes widened. "Don't go there! He's gonna kill you!" Ben exclaimed. "Let me take care of him. He can't possess people today. And I can take him. Stop him from hurting anyone else. It's me he wants anyway."

The radio tower

Ghostfreak's eyes widened when he saw the effect of his electric attack on Kelsey, as it not only did less damage than he thought it would, but that she had charged in like a wild animal while releasing a loud screech of war. Ghostfreak moved to back-hand her away from him a,d dodge her attack, but at the same time he felt a piercing pain in his body. He had been stabbed.

"Wha—" he started to say, in a pained voice.

Just then, a pulse of energy was released from the feral woman causing all of the electronics in the area to start shorting out. Including his electric pylons on his back. He winced, purple lightning arcing off and around his pylons, before a large burst of electrical energy released from him in all directions, sparking and wreaking more havoc with the electronics in the area. The electric pulse would only be moderately painful and dangerous, mostly knocking back or stunning anyone hit.

Two would not have been so lucky.

Having stabbed a metal object into his body, which was releasing a large amount of electrical energy, a large amount of that energy would channel through the sword and start assaulting Two with a dangerous amount of electricity in her body. Ghostfreak, in the ensuing confusion, ripped the sword out of his gut and shoved the intoner out of the way, making a run for it towards the hole in the wall where the door once was. He was limping slightly, clutching his side, breathing labored, and letting out purple sparks from his body.

"This... is... not... over!" he gasped, trying to get away from the group and get outside, to a place where the city would shift him away.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Grocery Store

"We keep saying that," Arcade noted, dryly, "if only we could eat drama, we'd never go hungry again here." They could've just stayed next to Rex and have their need met. So, it was probably best that they didn't.

Randomly, Arcade reached out and grabbed the nearest food. It turned out to be a bag labeled 'Let's Potato Chips'. He simply turned it around in his hands for the time being, just listening to Cole talk.

"I hope we can find Eve soon," he said, "I don't want to be separated from her for too long." After his time back in the Wasteland, he didn't need to be away from anyone for too long.

That thought was shelved in favor of Cole's non sequitur. "Uh... yes," he said, "it seems that we don't share a first language, but apparently both of the languages I know exist in Eve's."

I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Lewis - Outside now I guess - tiny immortal mom friend

I looked down at the action figure, needing a moment to pick out where it was standing exactly and then trying to conjecture what it, or rather Tairee, was trying to communicate. It was kinda like trying to read Mystery, if Mystery was sapient and using a drone. That was part parrot. So not like reading Mystery at all, actually, apart from the fact that both required interpretive work. Which in my experience usually consisted of me verbally guessing what was being said and getting a yes or no answer.

"Am I heading out alone?" I offered. "Was planning on it anyway. Why, did you want to follow? Not like I have anything planned." Not counting feeling sorry for myself, anyway.

I knelt down to face it, at this point a little on the sidewalk. "Did you want to climb on or is that fine for you?"

i guess you can watch me shitpost i guess

Radio Station

"Heracules, is that you?" Caboose asked in Texas' voice. He tried moving his arms or something towards the sound, but unfortunately not even Caboose in his original body was strong enough to move in the armor when it locked up like this. "This has happened before. This is better though. I only cannot see and move. Last time I also had to hold my breath. That was a bad hours of time."

Still couldn't see anything. "So... what's going on?" he asked innocuously. "Unless you can also not see! Are the lights still on in there?" There were noises, but Caboose honestly had no clue what they meant. All he knew was that currently, he was falling. Luckily for a seasoned fuck up like Caboose, a small fall was nothing. The landing was on his back. Still no change in his positioning, though, the armor locked really well.

Centwo, Radio Statio, x.x

Being from a world that had no electricity, Two couldn't have possibly known of what happens when you stick a metal object - let alone a pair of them - into an overloading sparking reactor.

She screamed when the voltage assaulted her, stumbling back as her body spasmed violently. Any attempt at trying to make a lick of sense out of her situation was arrested by her limbs straight-out refusing to listen. Centwo's eyes rolled back as s/he kept screaming, the current strong enough to pop a few veins on Cent's usually handsome and collected face. The blades clattered uselessly to the ground, but for a moment it seemed that she might just be able to resist the voltage.

Then Ghostfreak shoved her aside and Centwo fell down on her back. A scream suddenly cut short and her mouth filled with blood, spilling out as the shocks continued. Unable to even sit up, Centwo floundered on the floor ignominously, abject panic slowly giving way to nothingness before she stopped moving, and then vanished off the floor.

Radio Station- The Plan Is In The Garbage Now

Somewhere behind Morty's body, she heard a familiar voice calling out. Rex was here? There wasn't time to think about what she'd learned from Cole or what to say to Rex about it, as Two stabbed into Ghostfreak's body just as the monster's electricity went haywire. The purple shock-wave covered the whole building, though Captain Kidd was large enough to completely block off a small section of the room from being affected, including Jeff. The lightning crackled against the Persona, but it only winced as the current went through it and dissipated, being resistant to that element. Makoto was the same, only forced back a step by the blast as it ran through her. The pain was only momentary before it faded, though it stunned her for a bit since her leg brace took longer to lose its charge.

Unfortunately for her, this gave her a very good view of Two being shocked to the point of convulsion, and then being pushed to the floor and bleeding out. The body disappeared as Ghostfreak retreated, and Makoto stared at the red spot while he ran to the doors. It was taking longer than usual to process what just happened, but when it did sink in, any thoughts of how everyone else was doing left her head instantly. That didn't matter now. She was going to kill him.

She turned and started running after him, pretty much tuning out anyone else who may or may not have been in the way. Captain Kidd glided behind her, with a twisted skeletal grimace for an expression.

"Ziodyne!" Its single eye glowed brighter than before when it came to a stop, and then it lifted its cannon hand and aimed at the broken down entrance in Ghostfreak's general direction. The cannon sparked wildly as it gathered power, and then shot a bright yellow bolt of lightning out with a loud boom that left the barrel smoking. If she was thinking straight, she might have hesitated before attacking, but Morty, Rick, Rex, and Gon also being dangerously close to Captain Kidd's line of fire didn't fully register with her.
