I don't really get "princess" from that, but it's a good conversation starter.
Looks good.
4 is good, I think.
(Annoyed grunt)4's a little clearer.
I think both 1 & 4 are similar in presentation (nothing explicitly shows the character is a princess, but it's implied). I think 1 works better since it's already from a work of media.
I don't think either 1 or 4 shows princess clearly. Maiden, yes, but not princess.
Check out my fanfiction!I think "maiden" is alright, the trope specifically brings in Virgin Power, Damsel in Distress and such.
I think that is more the trope than literal Princesses, the examples think that as well.

Not sure if I agree with that. If that's the case, I probably prefer the OP suggestion, though.
Check out my fanfiction!1 and 4 are both fine by me.
1 probably for me.
My attempt to be funny in 3 fell flat, hard.

The image currently on Damsel in Distress looks better than anything.
It does.
We could move that picture to this trope and replace it with one of the suggestions.
Reaction Image RepositoryAgreed. I am in favor of replacing Damsel in Distress with 1 and that here.
I can get behind that.
I don't like Bowser. He's more of a typical villain who happens to be dragon-like rather than a dragon who's a villain.
Check out my fanfiction!Agreeing that Bowser is not obviously draconic enough for this.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Bowser is more of a turtle than a dragon.
He is a dragon-turtle :) Spits fire and everything. But yeah, not obviously draconic.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I like 4.
Boswer pic is more And Now You Must Marry Me
Agreed, and I like the current on that page better, although it wouldn't be bad for an Image Links page.

Nominations for replacement images:
Kinda surprised that this doesn't have an image yet considering how old the trope is.
Anyway, here's an image that neatly shows a chained princess being offered to a dragon.
