CoLC crossover RP, discussion

On even earlier than I had expected last night. Well, here now, don't have much to post at the moment; I'm going to check on some things and think it over.

EDIT: Alright, and with that post I'm calling it for tonight. Tomorrow I'm not going to be online much; I'll be popping in before work, which should be a bit earlier than I was on today, but I don't expect to have the time to make a main thread post after work. I will probably pop into discussion to post my schedule for next week. Which speaking of, I am currently planning on a short hiatus for Thanksgiving, again for the benefit of those who will be busy on that day; I myself probably won't be, actually.

Once again, the day after might not be much better; for one I won't be on until far later regardless, and if there's an early shift on Monday, then I won't be on for long at all.

Hopping on before work. Looks like it's been quiet today so far, which I guess is typical of the weekends. I'm going to check on some things and then see about whipping up a quick post.

Got off a little bit early for work, and remembered something I could postpone to give myself a little bit more time tonight. So I'm going to make a main thread post after all; just a little one though, to address the combat scenes so you guys aren't gonna be stuck waiting on me longer. Once my post is up, I'll be out of here for tonight.

Also yes, I will be barely on tomorrow it turns out. I should be on earlier than this post now, but definitely much later than when I popped in before work. I also want to heads up you guys on my work schedule for this coming week.

Once again my parents are heading out of town, but I successfully managed to get less work to compensate having to do more stuff around the house, so it should be a fairly easy week for me. First off is a fairly long, early shift Monday, which is why I'll barely be on tomorrow. From there I have days off until a long evening shift next Saturday, an especially long early-ish shift next Sunday. That time however, due to the Sunday shift not starting so early, I will actually be capable of being on after work Saturday night; though not for long.

Alright, here now and recapped. My apologies, I could've been on, probably at least half an hour earlier, but I was distracted watching some political videos. I don't have a lot of time, less than an hour in fact, before the time I would like to get going for tonight, so I'm going to do some quick checking of stuff, then make one quick post, then get going for tonight.

Tomorrow I should definitely be on earlier; I can't give a good estimate on how much earlier though, because it's going to depend on some factors. There's something I'd like to get done after work tomorrow, but I'll only be able to if I have enough time, so I'm going to be asking if I can clock out early instead of taking a break. Therefore whether I get on earlier or later in the day depends on how that goes. My estimate for the latest I would be getting on is around three hours earlier than now.

I'm going to be away for the next two days, so see you guys in a while.

Anyway, I'm here now and fully recapped. I was able to get off work early and so I went out to get that thing taken care of, and traffic was awful. Also in my attempt at a nap just now I didn't manage to actually fall asleep at all, so I'm feeling a little out of it; in fact I might try again after I get a quick post up. But before said post I'm just going to check on some things.

EDIT: Okay, with that post that took a lot longer to type than I thought it would, (I also had to stop in the middle to do some chores though) I'm going to be calling it for tonight. I'm not going to bed just yet, but I will be fairly soon and I'm definitely too tired for any more posting now.

Like the last time I had multiple days off in a row and nothing I need to be waking up for, I'm going to be taking some sleeping pills tonight to force my body to actually stay asleep for a decent amount of time. And I will not be surprised if, just like last time, said pills make me fall unconscious for at least ten hours.

The point is, I'm not sure when I'll be getting on tomorrow, but it might be just as late, if not even later, than the time I got on today.

Here now, fully recapped. I had one of those days where I had woken up and was awake for a while but my body still felt too tired to get out of bed. Then I had to take care of some things.

Um, I'm going to check on some things and then try to work on a post, though I'm having a anxiety attack at the moment so it's very hard to think creatively.

Caught up by now (I hope).

I'll see with a post up tomorrow.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that there weren't many posts after mine, since I got it up so late. Anyway, with this quick post I'm going to get going for tonight. Tomorrow I should be on earlier; I'm still sleeping in, but without taking sleeping pills this time. However, I will also have to run out at some point tomorrow, at least to the grocery store and probably a couple other stops too.

And a quick heads up reminder, tomorrow night when I go to bed, I'll be starting the Thanksgiving hiatus. I don't feel the need to make it a particularly long hiatus, so I might go ahead and end it once I'm going to bed Thursday night. (Or rather, Friday morning.)

Here now, fully recapped. A bit distracted with laundry and the roomba going... Also I'm realizing that at the moment, I literally only have one main thread post to respond to.

However, I do have a couple things I feel the need to respond to here in the discussion thread.

@Makaioh: Hibiki straight up nopeing out after watching Morty shoot Rick (or who she believes to be Rick) seems wildly out of character based on your signup sheet. Even considering how it states that her, "cheerful attitude isn't unbreakable", based on the rest of it, shouldn't she be intervening, even if she was emotionally breaking at the moment? Just immediately leaving instead is weird, and does not fit what your signup sheet nor what my looking into the character would suggest she should be doing in this instance.

Seeing how this is her first day in the city and you haven't had her go through any meaningful character development to change her yet, she shouldn't be having such a 180 reaction from her norm; it is precisely against my signup rules.

Even with that aside, there's a couple other things I have slight issue with in the post. For one it's kind of a lot for her to do all in one post: Raging, leaving, building momentum, attacking a tripod. And though it isn't really important to the discussion right now I still want to point out, building momentum really doesn't work that way. Bouncing back and forth between walls would normally lower momentum, not build it.

@All Hail Thrall: Your post likewise seems out of character for Ben to a wild extent. Especially since you didn't have Ben leave until after he knew that Rick was a fake and was starting to threaten Morty. I just don't see how Ben Tennyson of all people would possibly leave a helpless civilian facing a serious threat, even if there was a bigger threat somewhere else to go deal with.

Especially with him turning into XLR8, since it would literally only take him like a second to attack the wraith and then leave to deal with a tripod after that.

Well, I'm gonna get going, which means it's time for the hiatus to officially begin. As mentioned, I'll end the hiatus after I get on Friday; I'm not sure when I'll be getting on Friday, since I'll still be sleeping in that day, but I expect it to probably be earlier than today. Just, not a whole lot earlier. Plus writing the hiatus-ending post might take me a while, depending on how much of it I preemptively write tomorrow.

I'll have a post when the hiatus is over.

Alright, I am here. I'm going to check on some things and start working on the hiatus ending post. Depending on how long it turns out to be and how much I can stay focused on writing it, I'd expect it up in like... Between 30 minutes to 3 hours?

EDIT: Kind of meant to have that little reaction post up sooner, but I got distracted playing a game with a couple of my friends. Anyway, I need to get going for tonight; tomorrow I will only be on for two brief spurts, before and then after work. Before work I should be on even earlier, at least a couple hours or so, but after work will be fairly late. Both times I will likely only have time for one quick post.

Okay, back from work. I didn't bother posting earlier since there was hardly any posts and not much for me to really put up. There's something I want to do real quick, plus check on stuff, then I'll see about getting a post up. I'll be heading out for tonight as soon as the post is up.

Also, I got my work schedule for next week, and in the broad strokes it's exactly the same as this week, since again my parents will be heading out. There's a long early shift Monday, which means that tomorrow I won't be on for very long after work. Then it's days off until a long evening shift Saturday, and an extra long early shift next Sunday. I don't think I'll have the time to be posting after work that time, and like this week, if there's an early shift that following Monday, then I won't be on much that Sunday either.

My apologies guys; I got terribly distracted after getting home from work. I don't have a lot of time until when I would like to get going for tonight due to early work tomorrow; only an hour, in fact. However I will make sure to get a post up before going, even if I have to stay up longer. That said, looking at things currently I will probably only post for the clown battle, since every other scene I am currently waiting on others to post first.

I'm just going to check on some stuff, then I'll get started on that post.

Posting on phone during slow work moment, @Ominae: No. Just no. I'm not allowing Gon to learn on the fly how to control an alien spacecraft, let alone how to skillfully fire its weapons down at specific targets.

Besides, in your last post the pilots were still alive and Gon never dealt with that.

Alright, finally on. Once again got distracted after coming home, including getting in an argument with my dad. Didn't actually manage to sleep during my nap at all, but I don't feel too bad at the moment. I might get going earlier than I would normally when I'm planning on sleeping in.

I'm going to check on some things and then see about working on a post. I'm still a bit riled up about that argument though so it's making it hard to concentrate. My apologies for the delay, folks.

@Fantasy Liver: I will, yes. That's part of the prison fight technically, so I made no response in my prior post because Katarsus hadn't posted for Yuna yet.

EDIT: Once again, I suppose I should not be surprised at the few posts that went up after mine, given the late, late hour that I finally got it up. Today in general has just been kind of a crap day, which is why I'm gonna take some sleeping pills in just a few minutes and probably fall unconscious for over ten hours. Hopefully after that much sleep, things won't seem like such crap.

So even though I'll be sleeping in, since I'm calling it relatively early for the night, I should be on much, much earlier tomorrow.

Crap, I did not expect to be unconscious for almost twelve hours. Anyway, I'm here now and fully recapped. Still kinda feeling bleh, and I've got a bit of a shakes going on; might just need to eat something, which I'll see about doing soon. Going to check on some things, then I would post, but...

@Scorpio Rat, pillowmantis, and Deis The Alcano: My post said perpendicular. Which means a 90 degree angle compared to the other thing. Like if the City Destroyer is moving straight West, than the Covenant ship is moving North or South. It's not moving directly towards the City Destroyer. Also it's on a lower elevation and not moving up, though I did not include that in the post.

@Ominae: Do you have even the slightest idea of what the ship you put Gon in is actually like on the inside? There's virtually nowhere to hide or any spot Gon could actually blend in to the environment. There also wouldn't be any crates; that type of ship didn't have any reason to have crates in it.

EDIT: Alright, I'm gonna head out for tonight. Today was still kind of crummy. I'm still sleeping in, but I'm not taking pills this time, so I should be on earlier tomorrow. Like actually earlier, not just kind of earlier, unless something weird happens.

All right. I think it's way more than a while since I last played it...

Though if I recall, there are boxes that you can use inside alien ships for cover, though not crates. Changed it to make something else more visible like the UFO power sources.

It's been fixed.

@Ominae: You also seem to have a mistaken impression about how big the ship is, and what the layout is even like. If it's the smallest version it literally is one big room. If it's the slightly bigger version, it's still only a handful of rooms. You're acting like it's this huge thing with plenty of hiding spaces and lots of crew, but it just isn't. And again, there's really nowhere Gon could even begin to blend in effectively.

Anyway, I got distracted with a very long and very cathartic video game session with a couple of friends after I got home with dinner. I'm gonna finally see about posting tonight, which I'm guessing may be my only post for tonight.
