One thing, was Toffee's age ever confirmed as 29? He just kind of looks and acts late-20s, but he could be anything.

I just guessed that it would be 29. Should he be younger? XD

Posting on phone during work break; fiona you misunderstood, I can accept the character but I want to know if you're certain you want to play a character that might not get to interact with others much, stop.

I see what you mean. But can he be the main antagonist?Maybe....lol.

@Fiona I don't think he needs to be younger, but it might be best to leave his age unspecified^note just say, like, adult, or appears mid-twenties to thirties, or so just for accuracy's sake! It's not really a big deal, though.^^

Really? I didn't know that. That'll help me avoid confusion in the future.

Back on my computer now. Yes, the "stop" is something I do while on my phone; tapping away one finger press at a time makes me compelled to imitate old timey telegraphs. I apologize for the confusion; it's something I should probably quit doing anyway, and find a different way to convey that I'm on my phone. >_>

Anyway, Fiona-Rose if you decide that you're certain you still want to play Toffee anyway, then Toffee is accepted.

This time, be sure to check out the first posts of the main thread and discussion more thoroughly so that hopefully you get your character's arrival right this time. And pay attention to the discussion thread because if you do get something wrong, somebody will be sure to tell you there. As for recapping, you should probably recap at least the last few pages of the main thread before posting, to have an idea of what's going on currently; if you're willing to spare more time to it, you could recap from the start of the current in-game day. (Or even the whole RP, though that would be a time investment.)

Right then. Back to work. Here's my new character sheet...

Story: Homestuck (specifically, the three year trip to the new universe on the meteor)

Name: Karkat Vantas

Age, Gender, and Species: Around 6 Alternian sweeps/13 human years, male, and troll

Personality: Initially, he is very crabby and just a really loud ball of rage. He's short tempered and often exaggerates using long-winded metaphors that make absolutely no sense. Despite his tough exterior, he actually cares very deeply for those around him, if he manages to muster up the will to give a shit. He's just bad at showing how much he cares, so he does it by talking your ear off about how much of an idiot you are and why you should do this to save your miserable excuse for a life next time. He also has a sort of self-hatred derived from his mutant blood and the feeling that everybody especially Terezi hates him. He also has an interest in trashy romcoms, and considers himself an expert on the topic.

Backstory: He was born with a rare mutation that turned his blood candy red. This particular color is not present on the hemospectrum, which divides trolls into classes depending on their blood color. Because of this, he hid his blood color from his friends up until Hivebent, which is their story arc. They obtain Sgrub, play it, end up destroying their planet, and successfully finish the game. Before they can complete it, though, The prototyped Jack Noir from the Beta kids' session appears and forces them to abscond to the meteor. Here, they start trolling the kids. After a shit load of murders, Karkat hid for a while until Dave and Rose appeared. This is where Karkat shows up.

Skills/Powers/Abilities: he has no remarkable skills or abilities besides being able to wield a sickle.

Items: His sickle, which resembles a crab claw. His go-to weapon.

Other: HE TYPES AS IF HE'S ALWAYS YELLING, WHICH HE PRETTY MUCH IS, AND TYPES IN GRAY. AND AS I SAID, HE USES A FUCK LOAD OF STRANGE METAPHORS, SO YOU BETTER GET FUCKING USED TO THE SIGHT OD THOSE. SO THAT'S HOW HE'S GONNA TALK.

Wow, I was actually suggest you using Karat when you mentioned doing a Homestuck character!

@Pro Trash: Alright, well as before I'm not really familiar with Homestuck and don't plan to be. Thankfully the character entries for Homestuck are... Extensively thorough. I'm also glad that you were apparently right about this guy having basically no powers whatsoever.

However, there's some stuff about his personality that's missing and in one case missing in a sense where you seem to imply it's different than the character entry portrays it. You make him sound like he's apathetic when it's pretty clear from his character entry that he's VERY much so the opposite; he's a Jerk with a Heart of Gold who just doesn't know how to turn off the jerk part, based on the character entry.

You also didn't mention at all that most of his loathing hatred seems to be directed at himself, which to me seems like an important detail of his personality.

Also if you're going to insist on playing a character that is himself a self proclaimed grammar nazi, then I'm going to be severely tempted to get on your case every time you make a typo in his dialogue.

Sorry I forgot about that. I haven't read Homestuck in a while. But how about it? Is he in?

(While I'm at it I should mention that Karkat has an interest in troll romantic comedies and likes to draw shipping charts. That's gonna be fun.)

Either edit your sheet to reflect the stuff I mentioned, or if you think what I mentioned is incorrect argue why.

I trust you remember about the stuff in the first post of discussion and how your character should enter? There has been some new stuff added to the first post of discussion since you were last here though, so you might want to review it again at some point.

And of course, if you haven't already you should probably recap the last few pages of the main thread to get an idea of what's going on before jumping in.

I will do just that. Although I probably won't enter until tomorrow, though.

Wow! I really haven't posted in a long time. Anyway here's a new sign up sheet for me

• Story: Star Wars (Empire at war: Forces of Corruption)
• Name: Urai Fen
• Age, gender, and species: Talortai, Male, His age is never given

• Personality: Urai's acts very professional and doesn't tolerate any kind failure that will harm the Zann consortium. He will volunteer to undertake very dangerous missions instead of letting his troops do them, this might be because he cares about the troops under his command and that he doesn't want many of them to die, or that he doesn't trust them to succeed in any kind of difficult mission.
• Back story: Urai is the second in command for the Zann consortium. He is Tyber Zanns most trusted commander and one of his most powerful soldiers. He has many contact throughout the galaxy and has met many important people including Han solo and Chewbacca, who helped him free his leader Tyber Zann from the Kessel mining prison. Nothing is known about Urai's life before he joined the consortium.
• Skills/powers/abilities: Urai's race has two know natural abilities and Urai also has show another, possibly, undocumented ability.
  • Force sensitive: Urai's race can sense the force and can tell the difference between the light and dark sides of the force, but his race can't use the force themselves.
  • Advanced healing ability: Urai can heal most wound quicker then many other people in the galaxy.
  • immune to the effects of aging: I don't really know what this does.
• Items: Urai has access to many different kinds of illegal or hard to find pieces of technology
  • Wrist blades: Urai has two giant wrist mounted blades that can rip through armor.
  • Sonic Stunner: Urai can stun people in a small radius around him for a short amount of time
  • Cloaking device: Urai has a mobile cloaking device that allows him to turn invisible.

Is this acceptable?

@watdakstomp: It's almost like you're specifically going for characters from works that don't have character pages.

Anyway, I haven't played Empire at War and none of my friends are currently available to ask if they have, though I don't think any of them have. Anyway, from what little I can find for Urai specifically on the work page and the Star Wars wiki, this all seems accurate.

Urai Fen is accepted.

As per usual, I'll not change the listing on the active character list until you actually switch, if you are doing so.

Yeah, I noticed that I've been doing that but that's completely by accident on my part.

Anyway, I'm off to make a post about the Mad Mask's (Possibly not permanent) departure.

Edit: Wait, do I actually have to make a post the removes the Mad Mask or can I just switch to Urai immediately?

I don't think you have to make a removal post, but you can if you want to.

Yes, a removal post is optional; though if your intention is that Mad Mask goes back to his home universe, it would be better if you posted that as opposed to not posting it.
