"Gimme a moment," he closed his eyes and took several deep breaths, letting them out slowly, then opened his eyes and smiled, "Alright, let's go."

Fairgrounds.

James froze, face burning brightly again before quickly going into his usual anxious and flustered fidgeting when he noticed Cerise was in earshot and meekly tried to nod in agreement, deciding to simply focus on the latter suggestion.

"W-W-Well...erm, it's been r-relatively quiet around here, so I-I guess I might a-actually be able to organize s-some sort of get t-together, t-that would be fine, y-yes. ...W-Well, a-assuming Merri- erm, G-Gage isn't...away and...s-someone doesn't object." He remarked, trying his best to mask his surprise at that 'someone's reaction.

FOODCOURT

Azure had found them a table and had been spending far too much money on all sorts of treats, including deep fried butter...If it wasn't for her aura, she'd probably get a heart attack. "This stuff, it smells so good!" She told Cinnibar.

Foodcourt

"It's pretty good, yeah. One sec, I gotta get myself something," he said, gazing around at the shops. He settled for a rather greasy burger and fried potato squares from one of the places, bringing it back to where Azure was sitting, "you weren't kidding about wanting food like that."

Azure smiled aa she tucked in, it was interesting how she ate. Pausing and savoring the food she liked, or running over and gagging into the trashcan when she didn't. Thanks to her super powered tastebuds, there seemed to be little middle ground

Cinnabar watched her actions with some level of amusement while he ate, occasionally rolling his eyes when she got up to spit out the foods she didn't like. He ate mostly in silence, still somewhat exhausted from the duel.

FOODCOURT

When Azure was done, she leaned back in her seat watching Cinnibar. "What's your view on killing?" She asked suddenly.

Cinnabar paused, setting his mostly-eaten burger down, "Killing? Like, killing other people?"

"Like sticking a sword into someone until their life ends," Azure told him. "All the times spent swinging a weapon or shooting and people, that's never crossed your mind?"

"No it has, just wanted to make sure that's what you're talking about," he went silent for a moment, pondering the question, "I guess if I had to I would, but... killing a person is different than a grimm, y'know?" He glanced over at her, gauging her reaction.

FOODCOURT

"In the Reisentoters, in the Wild Hunt, we are instructed to purge the world of evil no matter what form it takes." She shrugged. "If I'm swinging a sword at someone, then it is their goal to keep themselves alive. That's what my mother always told me." She leaned back in her seat.

"Though, I guess my family's not a good example. Mom was ex-white fang, Father's murder crazy."

"Well I'm fortunate not to be on your list of 'evils in the world' then, Cinnabar remarked, picking up his burger again and taking a bite.

Azure smiled, looking up at him. "Wanna roll around the blankets?" She asked, partially as a joke but mostly to gauge his reaction. She fiddled wit her helmet, taking another sigh as she adjusted to the business of the food court and waited for his reaction.

Cinnabar choked slightly on his burger, pausing to finish chewing and swallowing before looking at her with a raised eyebrow and deadpanning, "hilarious."

Azure shrugged. "Sorry, its just that you're much more conservative. I wanted to see if I could throw you off guard "

"Trust me, you did. How so conservative?"

"You're not as passionate, you don't get into as many fights, you don't hit on people. You're more...stoic." Azure said, choosing each word carefully. "If you were a Reisentoter, we'd either still be fighting or having sex."

"Outside of your clan, I think most people would like to be viewed that way," Cinnabar shrugged, "But we still have the same emotions ya'll do."

"But you arent ruled by them." Azure said. "Sorry, its just the culture shock setting in. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on in this pmace. Mother and Uncle Lucas told me so much about this place."

"Oh? What did they have to say about it?"

"Mom said that there were monsters here and to always be vigilant. Lucas told me that people might underestimate me, that this place could be corrupt but there was beauty here. And there is."

"That's... I guess that's one way to see things here," Cinnabar shrugged, "your parents certainly sound like interesting people."

"Uncle Lucas wasn't my father. He's like a father to me, but he wasn't my father." Azure corrected Cinnibar. "You've met my father."

"I was more referring to your mother, but yeah. I dunno, it's been a long day okay," he grumbled.

"Do you want to go to bed then? take a nap?" Azure offered. "James might have found someone else?"
