Based on what you've told me alone, the latter seems more fun, if only because of the lack of true villains among the current cast, but the latter would be more practical.

honestly, it depends on how you want to play.

I kinda of already got an idea of what the proud warrior race guy could be like, but I'm sure if you explain the other one, I could work with that too. Both seem like they would stand out enough to bring something different from the others. the proud warrior race guy seems more interesting based on what you've told me so far.

title recommendations: the Proud warrior race guy screams Life aspect gone bad to me. Regardless of what aspect you pick, he also feels a lot like the self focused Thief. The Thief of Life would seemingly encourage taking the lives of the other players. If you're going for a more comedic approach, I could also see him being a twisted Heir, or maybe even a Void hero.

as for the robot guy, his priorites make me think a passive class, most likely a Seer or Heir. Not sure I can suggest an aspect until i learn more about this character.

also don't worry about mixing up my gender. the fact that I'm using a male avatar now probably doesn't help...

If it's any condolence, I'm incredibly prone to mixing up gender online~ Happens a lot more than I'd care to admit, hehe.

The idea I had for the robot was that they would come from an almost utopian society, since they're all robots that devote themselves to their tasks in upholding the world they're stuck in. So the resulting character would be a bit of an idealist, and one who strongly believes that things should be orderly. I don't think they'd snap or break at any point (being a robot I think they'd be pretty calm in most situations,) but considering the nature of Sburb I imagine they'd get a little fed up after a certain point and start fixing problems- real or perceived- just for the sake of keeping things neater. Expect some misplaced priorities if the game goes wildly off of the rails.

The proud warrior race guy, meanwhile, comes from a world where his colony's species have conquered pretty much everything on their planet. Not that there was anything else sentient, but nearly everything else has been driven to extinction and so they've turned into a culture of internal bloodsport to keep their fighting spirit strong. Our "hero" is just as eager as any other youngster there would be to get into a scrap, and sees the invitation into this game as a way to prove he's stronger than anyone else within his species. Arrogant and aggressive, it's all in the name of being the last one standing. (He's not too bright, especially when under his own guidance, so in spite of his combat prowess I wouldn't worry about him causing major damage to anyone too early.)

...now that I type that all out he sounds an awful lot like Caliborn, huh.

I have no good OC species to contribute, so I'll just lurk. You are planning on linking the actual RP when this thread finishes, right?

OK, great! I have no good OCs is what I should have said. Every OC I've made has been either a self insert or cliched.

@Nes: again the Proud Warrior Race Guy sounds more interesting, but he sounds like he might easily become a player killer, though that may be the point. It would be kinda funny seeing him trying to kill all the consorts though. He definetly sounds like a Thief.

The robot does feel like a safer choice though, and after what you've told me it kinda feels like a sylph, what with the whole compulsively fixing things. Except we kinda already have a sylph. Could also see it being a Light or even a Hope hero.

Basically the first one sounds more fun and would likely bring more to the rp overall, but might make things a little more difficult, at least for the other players, depending on how you play him. but the game will probably be harder for him because there's more to it than awesome combat skills. The other choice is safer if you want to go with that instead.

I'll probably go with the scrapper, then, given he seems more interesting to yah. I don't have much experience with writing for more villainous characters, but... shouldn't be too hard. Right...?

• Name: Rifa Hysmin
• Race: Solenopians. As race of crustaceous conquerors, notable physical features are: a helmet over their head (which leaves their chins and ever-spiky teeth exposed,) as well as the rest of their body being naturally armored; spines around their head and running down their back, three-fingered claws, and a body build similar to a human's if a bit lankier. Anyways, Solenopian culture! Having long ago driven most other species to extinction, their race now continues life underground and upholds their culture of conquering by constantly fighting themselves. Not through large-scale warfare, I mean that they'll lunge at each other if they feel like they need to prove something. There's as much hubris as there is debris down there. Aside from their culture of fighting, they do have other less-lethal means of competition. (It's a source of controversy among the race, but the idea's been promoted to keep the Solenopians from wiping themselves out.) Technology's not so hot compared to the other races, but their computers (should they not fizzle themselves out) have a working chat client and various games (like Pong/"Rock Parry") to serve as a means of non-lethal competition.
• Age: In human years, 14. Solenopians don't really have a good idea of years and age, they usually judge things on physical maturity- Rifa would be considered Stage 3, old enough to attempt physically fighting the custodian in the name of dominance.
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: As mentioned above, a lot of Rifa's body is covered in a scarlet red carapace. (Joints are linked by a protective fiber, though it can be cut with a knife or something.) The exception to this is the neck. His helmet, a natural part of him, leaves the chin and back of the head exposed; revealing wrinkly grey skin and sharp teeth with every smile, and completely black eyes. His helmet is "bald" so to say, but on the sides there are two tusks that run from the back of his head down to around the jaw, lining up with his mouth. (If you know your Pokemon it's kinda like Haxorus's tusks, except entirely aesthetic.) His spine is also a column of three dorsal fins, as a part of his torso's carapace.
• Weapon: As with most of his species, Rifa typically fights using his SOLENOPIAN CLAWS. They can be used to cut, crush things with a powerful grip, or punch the teeth out of some unfortunate bastard. When the situation calls for it, though, he'll equip himself with an incredibly versatile weapon... a MODERATELY-SIZED ROCK, which is about the size of a puppy and requires both hands to use properly. It takes a truly noteworthy individual to appreciate it as a tool.
• Dream Moon: Derse.
• Title: Thief of Life.
• Background: Rifa isn't too different from any other Solenopian child as far as personality, maybe other than living closer to the surface than must, but his upbringing is strange. Upon hatching he had the fortune to be assigned a "spacedrone" for a custodian. One of the few people not entirely devoted to fighting, instead trying to extend his species's reach to beyond their planet's surface. What luck. In spite of enduring mockery for this, he's proven that he doesn't take entirely after the stargazer and usually bests his peers at whatever challenge they wish to take him on at, especially fighting. As skilled as he is at that, though, he still hasn't succeeded in besting his custodian in battle... maybe today's the day he finally gets to end all of this stupid space nonsense. But hold on, what's this? It seems that you've been selected to be a part of some grand game across space itself, according to the spacedrone. He seems excited about this. Hopefully the goal of the game is to establish dominance over the others. Seeing the light in his profession for once, Rifa begrudgingly accepts this challenge to establish himself as the first- and strongest- Solenopian to visit other sentient beings...
• Personality: An arrogant, competitive fighter who believes strength is the defining characteristic of a person, Rifa's instinct on being presented with a new challenge is to run in headfirst and establish who's boss. Now, that isn't to say fighting is the only way he'll accept a challenge... he believes that as important as strength is, a truly strong Solenopian can beat anyone at their own game. Combined with his hotheadedness this means he's prone to accepting bets that he might not even be able to conquer, though he does have a breaking point due to how much he dislikes losing (especially to "inferior" alien races.) His upbringing, while he resents it, has left him slightly smarter than others of his race and thus he's capable of making logical connections and staving off his desire to maim/kill if he gets something out of it short-term. He'll listen to what someone has to say though he still dislikes being directly lectured, and if he feels someone isn't too the point he'll either leave them for his own goals or shut them up in a very "Rifa's fists" manner.
• Skills:
  • Strength and Combat: While no martial artist, Rifa is a brutal brawler. He has a strong enough grip to scale cliffsides and single-handedly crush rocks (though only a DECENTLY-SIZED ROCK, a MODERATELY-SIZED ROCK is too big.) He can punch hard enough to crack another Solenopian's carapace, though he prefers to use his claws to sever their joints and loosen their armors first. Dumb he may be, though Rifa knows how to fight practically and how to make sure you aren't knocked out before it begins to really hurt. (Not out of sadism, but out of a desire to prove he's not to be trifled with.)
  • Night Vision: Rifa's eyes are mostly black and his race is subterranean. Of course he'd be good at seeing in the dark!
• Anything Else:
  • Carapace: The carapace is pretty strong, and can even protect from blades! The fibers that keep it held at the joints are very much cuttable though, and the armor can be pierced (i.e. a bullet) or, with sufficient force, crushed (i.e. a hammer.)
  • I'm not sure if their homes factor in much, but with his upbringing a lot of Rifa's cavern has space-related junk in it, such as meteorite stars or a constellation map. Much to his annoyance.

This guy sounds like the crab your crab could be. I LOVE IT. Accepted.

As for things in your home all it's gonna impact is what all you can alchemize near the beginning. Oh yea and some stuff is likely going to end up stolen/lost near the beginning of the game so heads up on that.

This guy and the Knight of Space are gonna be interesting together...
