The top number is a character count of the page. The numbers are used to keep track of if a page is too large and is going to start breaking the wiki soon.
I don't know what the maximum fill thing is. Can you take a screenshot?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThis very page. Look right, and under the "crucial browsing" box, it is there.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm not seeing the same thing you are. Can you please give me a screen shot?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickIf I may post a screenshot of my own.
What may have to do with this is me running Windows 10, Chrome without ad-blocking extensions or utilities.
My accumulated bad disposition towards Adobe Flash plugin made me forego its installation. So either way Chrome native plug-in is supposed to take care of everything, and who knows if it's important. Note that that "maximum fill" text appears in place of an advertisement banner (last time I took note of ad system was due to it showing tons of streaming videos). Just in case, I'm not sure all three banners are required to fail to deliver actual ads for the "maximum fill" to appear. Maybe rectangular one from the top of the page can show something.

Yeah, I'm not seeing that but it looks like something going odd with your lack of flash.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI do see ads, just of one and the same clothes and sportswear online store that I frequent. Those might be the only ones compatible with my software environment.
I've just had a page load with top/bottom banners, while the square, side ones were reduced to "maximum fill".
Upon closer reread of the story (maybe originally found elsewhere), this could be a month old part of Google initiative to condemn Flash. I'm not sure installing Adobe Flash Player would make Chrome use Adobe's plug-ins instead of Chrome's own means. Looks like the store I mentioned is supplying HTML 5 ads, that would explain everything.

Chrome has a built-in Flash plugin. Unless you explicitly disable that, it doesn't matter what other software you have or don't have as far as Flash is concerned. HTML 5 should be handled and rendered by all modern browsers, again unless you explicitly disable it.

I don´t understand, why is there a "maximum fill" wrote on random places around the page I view this on. I´m certain that it is a part of TV Tropes, but what does it mean? Speaking of which, if you look at bottom left of every trope page, it has two numbers (One usually in tens of thousands and one with one or two digits), what do these mean? Thanks for any answers.
