Kind of looks like a meme, which isn't exactly good. Not sure how well just the top frames do, but probably better, at least.

It's probably more a critique of the art design, but I think Mickey's second reaction looks rather weird with the whites of his eyes missing. It almost looks more like a mole than an iris.

Having never played it, I'll take your word for that, but I think the contrast between the two is sufficient to get the point across.

I think I might have made this suggestion a while back, but didn't exactly explain myself very well. Here's an example where on the left you have the concept artwork of Epic Mickey which was stunning, and then on the right you have the bland, mediocre in-game graphics.
