Read this a few years ago, only because the mangaka did Spriggan. Big fan of his artwork that evolved from the last parts of the manga and into D-Live!!

Guess I should get that quote on as soon as I find the page. All I can say is I was once a part of the translation effort before one of the groups involved went bust.
FYI, there's a LN release called Black Dawn. I'm not sure if that details more on the character or world building...
