And here's the video.

GRRM joins me for this very special episode of Reginald's Book Club to talk about Nine Princes in Amber by Roger Zelazny, which is currently being adapted for TV by Robert Kirkman and Stephen Colbert.

I was so nervous doing this I got the name of the book, the name of the author and the name of MY OWN PODCAST wrong, but George was so friendly and chill the whole time I think it came out pretty well.

Today, The Dom compares Agatha Christie's 1937 novel Death on the Nile to its 2022 film adaptation by Kenneth Branagh.

Did Kenneth Branagh's Death on the Nile stick any closer to Agatha Christie's book than Murder on the Orient Express?

From the summary alone, the way Susan is treated does sound pretty effed up. She was literally kicked out of Narnia and left all alone in the real world and she’s just told to… deal with it?

Also, that’s the weirdest Died Happily Ever After ending I’ve heard of. >.>

According to our own page, Susan pushed Aslan and Narnia away, and according to Lewis she would eventually find her own way to Aslan's Country.

But nobody likes talking about that; they just like dumping on the book.

Coz both are dumb? Also, Lewis didnt feel compelled to put that last bit in the book either.

The book is plenty dump worthy. Heck, Im pretty sure the series wouldn't get nearly as much flak for the christian stuff if it werent for that last book.

Like, "You all died off screen except your sister, that heathen" is just an awful way to end the book.

When I read the series as a kid, I thought Susan getting left out was bullshit, but I disliked the book mainly for being unpleasant and weirdnote . The Last Battle really deserves more shit than it gets, it's bad for a lot of other reasons than what happens with Susan

[up][up][up] I’m confused, some comments say that she stopped believing because she was kicked out for a stupid reason, not the other way round.

[up][up] I have literally never seen anybody on this site talk about the book who doesn't hate it. It even has its own professionally-written Hate Fic courtesy of Neil Gaiman.

It doesn't seem like shit for this book is in short supply, is what I'm saying.

I do think authors clarifying something big they didn't bother explaining in book isn't really fix for book having really horrible implications yeah x'D

(BTW, Dom even brings up that addennum)

Its just in general wild how lot of known series end with really weird dark endings in final book either way
