The page has a YMMV banner, yet it also says "In Universe Examples Only". Also, the description treats the article as an audience reaction; it begins by listing tropes that would commonly have the audience reaction of "Dude, not funny" and some paragraphs outright state that it should be linked as an audience reaction, such as "How do you know if something deserves linking to this page?" and "This may also overlap with Values Dissonance as society in general becomes more sensitive to the reality that certain issues carry Unfortunate Implications — a joke that wouldn't have raised eyebrows in the 1930s might be seen as appallingly racist or sexist today". Oftentimes, I see entries in a work's YMMV tab be removed with the reason being "In-Universe Examples Only".

In short, the page's banners say it's both subjective and objective at the same time, and although the page describes an audience reaction, it is being removed from YMMV pages for really being an objective trope.
