Story two is not a story plot, it's a intro to something else.
Depending how it's played you could have a super hero origin story there, cosmic horror, or something else but it's a foundation to build a plot off of.
on a side note why did you not tell your friend about TV tropes and have him come here him self, or is this a I Have This Friend situation?

A friend of mine came to me with these two weird story ideas. He told me to give him my honest thoughts; so I'm seeking the thoughts and opinions of members on this site. Which story sounds more interesting?
Story 1) A man is abandoned and sucked into a tornado. With his body ripped apart and badly disfigured, the man struggles with his sanity (and humanity) as he tries to find the ones that forgot him.
Story 2) Having survived being sucked into a tornado, a man finds that his body is transforming as a result of some unknown thing entering into him.
